  1. They've added the Red & Yellow Pikmin keyrings 1700 stars each Would prefer the Pink one that was GAME's pre-order bonus tbh
  2. Reset Bomb in the Kid Icarus stage
  3. X, Yarn Yoshi and Bayonetta have the same lack of potential pulling power as the rest
  4. Only in 2013 is a lineup of 3D Mario (with multiplayer), a HD remake of one of the most beloved Zelda games, a new Donkey Kong game, a sequel to the popular Wii Party, a sequel to the phenomenon Wii Fit, a new IP and a new Pikmin game be an insufficient line-up. Ideally Mario Kart should be in it too, to force it to be a hit, but alas.
  5. You guys are misunderstanding me. I'm not saying that narratives are bad. I'm saying that narratives at the expense of gameplay are bad
  6. I know, I was being facetious :p Though people were calling for Iwata's head back then, too
  7. Sony's gaming division recorded a larger loss than Nintendo within the last quarter, three times larger at $175m http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/IR/financial/fr/13q1_sony.pdf Sony are doomed. They should go third party. I want Last of Us on my Wii U. Fire Kutaragi! </satire>
  8. The online discussion is really fit for another thread, but I can tell you outright that there are some very logical and logistical reasons for Pikmin and Mario not being online
  9. Why should Nintendo have to "push" online when the infrastructure is there? You don't see Sony pushing "look, you can play games online", or Microsoft.
  10. Agreed. I loved that. I also find that the graphics are much better in 3D, and it's weird that I said that.
  11. What a horrible attitude. Hope other developers think the same about PS4 and Xbox One games
  12. Hell, all this means is the Wii U version is the definitive version :p
  13. Why the frack are they leaving it out of the Wii U? That makes no sense. There's over a dozen online Wii U games, so it's not like the architecture isn't there
  14. I can see Lego spreading by word of mouth. If they do what they did with us and include codes for the game in the toys, it could spur sales somewhat too
  15. Thanks again guys. Had a good birthday despite the massive anxiety attack on the night out. Parents got me a really good present apparently, but it's stuck in customs :/ They won't tell me what it is. My mum fears it has been pilfered, though
  16. That's why having a constant stream of games, as seen with the second half of this year, is a great thing. This week in Japan 3DS LL 36,350 Vita 19,866 3DS 18,625 PS3 11,900 Wii U 11,373 PSP 6,024 Wii 1,442 Xbox 360 318 Lego City came in at #9 with 18,199. Top was Ace Attorney 5 with 250k. Dragons Crown on PS3 and Vita took #2 & #3. Pikmin 3 did a respectable 14,161 at #10
  17. I never said it'd get as good a rebound. I expect half of it at most, but a rebound is still a rebound Nuts to that. HD F-Zero on the Wii U is where it should be :p Incidentally, some figures have come from Dave Gibson So far this month in Japan, Wii U software sales have quadrupled and hardware has almost doubled. It goes to show, games sell hardware. The Wii U had no games last quarter ergo it didn't move hardware
  18. NSMB isn't a system seller, it's one that sells with the system if you get what I mean. I mean hell, nearly 70% of Wii U owners have it. Comparing Mario and Mario Kart is the more logical course of action since they saved the 3DS from a similar, albeit not as dire, fate. It depends on your definition of recover. If you think recover means it'll sell amazingly, be the top of the charts and break records, then there's no chance in hell of that ever happening. However, it having modest sales, a decent install base and turn a profit then yes, it will rebound and you're crazy to think otherwise. Unfortunately, as much as I'd love them, they would in no way help the sales of the console. Those games are not system sellers at all
  19. So sick of people dealing with absolutes. Yes, the Wii U isn't selling well, but it is FAR from done. I mean hell, Pikmin came in #1 in Japan's charts and #2 in the UK Charts...UK, a country that generally hates Nintendo. When their actual big guns come out, it'll be a completely different matter. It's illogical to conclude that games such as the sequel to the fastest selling 3D Mario game, one which, joint with Mario Kart, saved the 3DS, will make no difference. There are also dozens of games coming for the console this year. Seriously, get over it. I get you may not like the Wii U, or Nintendo, but it's absolutely ridiculous to just ignore the fact that they are actually making an effort to change things, and that the quarter that has been reported today wasn't a part of that.
  20. Yes, but people including Eurogamer, Kotaku etc. are erroneously reporting this as sales, when they are not. Sales are higher, the retailers just had extra stock beforehand
  21. No, but people's interpretations of them are erroneous. These are consoles shipped. not consoles sold like every single place is saying. Nintendo massively overshipped the Wii U and 3DS so their shipment numbers are lower than consoles sold. You just have to do the maths. Add US and Japan's monthly figures together and you already get above the monthly average of consoles shipped. I'm not saying these numbers are good, I'm saying people are misinterpreting them a fair bit
  22. We also need to factor in the fact that they overshipped the Wii U in the previous quarter, so these shipments are lower due to the retailers going through those
  23. Love that they can be posted directly to Miiverse
  24. Todays picture Reggie will only fit as a character if he is the one controlling Master Hand and Crazy Hand
