  1. We clearly need an episode with a female ethnic Doctor in the deep south in the 1800s
  2. This week Romance of the three Kingdoms™ IV Wall of Fire Galaga
  3. Todays picture
  4. As I expected, there are calls across the internet saying BBC are sexist and racist for not choosing a woman or someone of a different ethnicity. Sigh
  5. Agreed. I was hoping he'd be the Tom Baker of this era. The fantastic Doctor who actually stays more than 3 years. That's the reason Tom Baker is so iconic with the role, he stayed for years
  6. He seemed so depressed in that interview. I wonder if he's starting to think he has made a mistake Introduction video
  7. His official publicity shot
  8. It's Peter Capaldi Great actor, bit concerned that he's already appeared in the franchise twice, in the latter shooting his family and then him, but he's great
  9. Yeah, but with Karen Gillan and Jenna Coleman, who is actually complaining? :p
  10. Part of me wants it to be Anthony Head. Really, as this is a live event, it's more likely to be an established actor otherwise the audience will be wondering "who the hell is this?" but if it's someone big who is well known like Anthony Head, Peter Capaldi, Hugh Laurie etc., then it'll be worth it. I'd be happy with any of those three if they choose to go for an older Doctor Bleeding Cool suddenly think it's him, too http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/08/04/hes-male-but-is-he-welsh-aneurin-barnard-doctor-wh/
  11. Don't forget, the 12th Doctor reveal is on BBC at 7pm today. People still believe it's Peter Capaldi
  12. Well yes :p I want there to be a point to each console. A hook to make it worth it. I get I may be in the minority in this, it's just as I've typically owned each console, it's getting increasingly tiresome with them being near identical this gen
  13. A thought occurred to me the other day, when I was scrolling through the ridiculous comments in a Pokémon video on IGN where one person said that Nintendo should make a Pokémon game using the Unreal Engine. It made me start thinking about how many games use that engine and, while adaptive, it somewhat limits things so the games on the engine end up looking somewhat similar. Which brings me to the upcoming consoles. Both the Xbox One and Playstation 4 are running components of the same x86 architecture with only slightly different specs. While I can see this being beneficial for the developers as they can port games easier, I feel it makes the point of having two separate consoles redundant for the consumer. Especially as, over the last few years, the first party exclusives to each respective console have been few and far between, and will likely be similar across PS4 and Xbox One. The only differences will be the occasional first party game, the controller and the UI. The controller standardisation also has me down as very little has changed between the last few generations. It makes me feel that things are stagnating. I have always been of the belief that each console should be wildly different from the others. This encourages competition and for people to purchase the different consoles. Nintendo is certainly trying this, but MS and Sony seem to just be wanting to go for more power, which is a sad state of affairs. I have typically purchased each of the available consoles, but I have no desire to do that this generation for this reason. No longer will games be optimised for one console and there's really no point of there being two near identical consoles. So I can see this being a potential issue in the long run, and it certainly is giving me pause. I feel it makes developers complacent. What do you think? Do you think that standardisation is good, or are you like me and wanting three totally different consoles? Edit: Just realised I said harming or hurting, implying it's bad outright. Can a mod change it to Helpful or Hurtful?
  14. I too wouldn't be surprised. The UK has never embraced Nintendo afterall
  15. I was doing some sleuthing earlier today and found various sites like Pocket Gamer report a UK release of September 27th. None of the big sites reported this, however. Curious
  16. Well it's on the UK Namco site http://www.uk.namcobandaigames.eu/product/adventure-time-explore-the-dungeon-because-i-don-t-know/wii-u
  17. The Wii U had a decent launch. It's the after launch that is the issue. You can bet that the PS4 and Xbox One launch months won't be as good as the Wii U's, especially if they're the same month. Combined they'll likely beat it. Separately, not going to happen.
  18. Well I charge and power my Japanese Wii U and GamePad with the UK plugs so it seems fine. I checked and they do convert to the same voltage
  19. Nice. I'd definitely be getting one of those should they come out here. Ideally, Nintendo should swap out GamePad batteries of their upcoming stock to have these rather than the crappy ones we have now
  20. Just appeared for me
  21. Fairly certain I've somehow broken my big toe. No idea how since I don't do anything, but over the past few weeks it has been randomly hurting whenever it moves, or I put pressure on it. The pain isn't consistent though, it's not always there, just a gentle numbness at times. Made an appointment with my doctor since it isn't an emergency, but he can't see me until the 27th.
  22. Are you digitally downloading all of your games?
  23. Missed Gran Turismo 6
  24. Yeah, Playstation 3 is definitely making more of an effort for it. Though I don't think they're getting more, and if they are, most are really moneyhatted and not first party unlike Nintendo, but that really is irrelevant
  25. I laughed :p Indeed. I was discussing things with a friend and turned to exclusives and how few the 360 and PS3 have had in the last few years. They're both mostly multiformat games
