  1. 100% agree with this deleted Tweet that he has since acknowledged as "road rage" and apologised for. It should be the quote on the game box. LOL.
  2. For once, I agree with you. Completely solid 2D Zelda's. He said they're great, I said they're fine, you said they're solid.
  3. You'd think if it's really your second favourite game of all time, you'd be struggling to justify not stocking up on bars of bounty and setting sail for the shores of Talon IV to circle strafe space pirates and space jellyfish.
  4. It's going to be a bit of a wait. With great success comes much iteration and rereleasing. Hopefully, they'll come out swinging for the fences on the next machine again. (howzaaat @Ashley? )
  5. The catch is that once you've downloaded and installed it, you end up with a baseball game. I think you might have cracked it.
  6. If it was finished it'd have been out for Christmas and Fire Emblem Engage would have been pushed to Easter. A cookbook app on the slate and weapons and shields that don't shatter might be earth-shattering enough for a lot of people who just enjoyed spending hours on end in BotW. TotK doesn't look as stunning because we've been there and done that in BotW so it's easy to get ahead of ourselves and think we know what to expect. So far what I'm seeing is that even though the world might be reused (as we knew), it looks like it's going to be game on because it seems the story has impetus this time, there's something new in every clip, there's places in the sky, there's catacombs. The hand thing. The Dragon Quest Golem. If you want to think of it as Mario Galaxy 2 or something, that's fine and absolutely no bad thing. Neither is Splatoon 3—it's excellent. But hey, keep going bonkers over the same two Advance Wars games being rereleased as if it's the biggest megaton there could ever be. There will be TotK Directs in the run-up to release, then a Treehouse and even that won't cover everything. This isn't the Wii U; no one needs to be sold on it like they did with BotW so Nintendo can tailor the gradual reveal schedule as they want. This might be a Nintendo that's playing it safe and rolling in dough but I don't think they've spent all these years cobbling together a glorified expansion pack. Remember how fast the turnaround was on Majora's Mask and what they delivered there? Now multiply that up for TotK.
  7. The Power Pro Baseball game is only 79p and I'm not seeing what the catch is because according to Konami, it does not have microtransactions and will receive roster updates. Seems like a good deal.
  8. Only way I'm getting this is if the Fusion suit can be unlocked through Metroid Fusion on the NSO. And even then, I doubt I'd be swayed. Yeah, I thought they were throwing Metroid fans a bone with the trilogy here but it's classic Nintendo. Just be thankful it's not £60.
  9. Super Gameboy is the glaring omission. We'll worry about the transfer pak when Mario Golf and Tennis is on there. It's a nice game to be sure. I played through it a couple of times on GBA but tbh, I don't really have any intention of going back to it again. I think it's the kinstones... Hope you enjoy it. There's plenty about it to appreciate. Maybe if you post some glowing impressions I could be persuaded to start a new file. I'm already looking forward to playing the NSO version of Link's Awakening this summer rather than delete another file on the Switch remake, haha.
  10. First vid is the Japanese Seikaju no MeiQ trailer (it's longer than the look we got), the second vid is a stream they did. I'm gonna be going through these like people comb through BotW and TotK trailers. En eye-watering £36 for each game or £72 for all three. Already available for digital pre-order, I'm standing by for physical before giving in. I'm so glad to see the series live on. You've no idea. I figured it was set to skip this generation and possibly never be heard from again. II and III never came out over here on DS but I was able to pick up City of the Drowned over in the states a dozen years or something ago however I didn't come across Heroes of Lagaard, so I'm particularly looking forward to playing the original, pre-Untold version of it. I thought I & III were really long, epic games to get through, but by today's standards, the average playtime will probably be on the shorter side of things! Feels good to be back into the EO sig & av too.
  11. You should probably replay them too. They're fine. A long, long way off Link's Awakening, imo.
  12. https://www.nintendo.co.uk/Games/Nintendo-Switch-games/Splatoon-3-1924751.html#Expansion_Pass Having trouble squaring the circle with this one. So they're giving you in-game tat, wave 1 seems like something that'd be a free update and wave 2 is coming before the end of next year? Can't get my head around it, and checking some other haunts, they're just as perplexed.
  13. You should go back and rewatch the Splatoon 3 wave 1 DLC part.
  14. Went through them again in recent years and, imo, they aren't all that so I'd recommend tempering your expectations appropriately. I have 1 (childhood cart + 3DS VC!), 2, 4, the Shake Dimension but 3 has been a gap for me so I'm looking forward to getting into it at last.
  15. Natsu-Mon! 20th Century Summer Vacation was announced on the Japanese Nintendo Direct.
  16. If you've played Zelda before you'll know that he is bad. Hope it opens the door for more characters like Diddy and maybe the train kart from Double Dash too. Looked like those Gameboy and GBA games were being demo'd on your account.
  17. Well. Thought that was shaping up to be pretty lacklustre which is no bad thing as there's plenty to be getting on with, but it picked up from Sea of Stars for me. Put me down for Pikmin, Ghost Trick, Sea of Stars, Etrian Odyssey, GB and GBA, Baten Kaitos, Fantasy Life, maybe Blanc and Megman. I'll give Omega Stars a go for sure. Tears of the Kingdom obligatory purchase. Hope it's decent. And short. I'm interested in a new Advance Wars, but after the delay, I'll see if I think this one needs the "support". Not sure at all about the Splatoon 3 DLC! Want to know more about Fantasy Life, like, do I need to buy the 3DS DLC before that's gone forever or will the Switch game have that content?? Tron Identity could be interesting? And Decapolice?
  18. GB and GBA. The madmen did it. I'll try that Alone in the Dark game.
  19. Splatoon 3 wave 1 seems pointless unless I missed something. Wave 2: Side Order is intriguing.
