I got the Island Designer app the other morning, too. I haven't tried it out much because I don't have a specific vision for my island at the moment, however I took it for a test run to see how it works and... it took me longer than I ever expected to move a waterfall forward three squares. Revamping the island will take yonks. (Pleasantly surprised it doesn't need you to amass resources or craft earth, water or path inventory first!) I've done a couple of building moves (you may have noticed I stuck a bunch of animal houses together in close quarters) and the time and money involved was a bit over the top. I also wanted to move my shop one square and it took days because you have to move things to an empty space rather than just shift them. Crazy. It's all about the plots... which at least gives you more control over the villager influx than previous AC games. When someone moves out can you destroy their plot to prevent someone new coming? I'd be tempted to whittle the population down instead of converting my island into a bustling minitropolous. Never crosses my mind to sell insects! I just dump one in the museum and ignore them otherwise--I always think they are on the same value level as seashells. In fact, today I donated a Peacock butterfly and... have no intention of keeping an eye out for more. The map view of your town made me think of Saronia in FF III. I think the Nintendo themed stuff is in Minecraft these days.

I have also seen that there is a market for villagers. I only think fondly of some villagers from Wild World because it was my first AC and they were my first villagers but that is all. The only one I would have back is Bluebear. When she upped sticks it wasn't long until I stopped visiting my Wild World village. Having her photo just wasn't enough. So, unless they add something to the game I am oblivious to, the animals can come and go as they please for all I care!

So this how it is, huh? Last summer when I was getting into Mario Maker 2, I never considered touching the skip button, but over the months I have come round to it in a big way. If these levels came up for me in Endless mode, there is only two outcomes: 1) my run ends here. 2) hard skip. I will vote @RedShell purely because I managed to finish it after three days of trying and I suppose it was nice of you to throw in a life at both flags to allow the player the luxury of retries (if they make the first halfway flag without game overing!). Smeagol I have seen the first half of your level this morning, and it is nicely put together and all but honestly, dying and retrying is not what I play Mario for and I can't waste time banging my head off a brick wall for two levels, sorry. Totally agree, @Mr-Paul and @Tales. I have used the turnip exchange on the weeks there was nothing doing here and thankfully it was with people who were happy to help out. Looks like people are changing their tune now we are some weeks in.
