It was announced today that our office will be closed by the end of 2010. If we're still there, ReZ and I will therefore be made redundant. I/we needed a push out of that place so it is positive. I just need ONE of the schemes I'm applying for (that start in September) to accept me!! *crosses everything* Either way, it seems appropriate to drink a bottle of wine later. It's only fair.

*looks at thread and smiles* I think the Maid Marian type character would work well for me in this situation. She doesn't really need saving from the castle, but she does at the same time. As for Moon, excellent film. Makes you so damn tense, I love it.

Moogle, I had a similar situation at Uni. I always called him Gomez due to his obsession with them. Anyway, he had a girlfriend at another Uni and we used to lie in his bed smoking* and talking into the night. I never said anything; he's still with her and I'm still single. Oh, my life. *not cigarettes, etc. My weekend's been totally boring, but get paid tomorrow and then I can actually do things, like GO OUT.

I know it's bad but ''The Hand of Frog'' did make me chuckle as a headline. (I saw the paper on the news, I don't read tosh, promise). In all seriousness, he's embarrassed himself and his country. He's tarnished their World Cup campaign and played a part in ruining Ireland's.

ReZ I'll say again That border/style represents you, not me! If I was changing both I would want something completely different! As it is, I love Leia and my North Star. -
I enjoyed it. Some of it felt cheap and Tennant's over-acting when he ''lost it'' was a bit annoying (the whole time will do what I want speech and thereafter) but generally good. Looking forward to the xmas special. OH YES I noticed the water on the robot! Continuity geek high five.

@ Pooki, thank you! It's not a case of keeping me though, we're talking about our whole office potentially closing as The-Company-We-Work-For trims the fat! I am comparing it to... it's us or The Swindon Lot :p

It sucks in that I need income, but this job grinds away a bit more of my soul each day, so I'm pretty calm about it. It'll be more annoying if I don't get any severance. This is all speculation, it may not happen. I can't believe they've kept everyone temporary for so long, that's so harsh. Come, work for the NHS, we don't give you ANY job security!!

I heard today that if you've worked for a company for less than two years, legally they don't have to give you any severance pay for voluntary redundancy. So that sucks. But apparently, even though they're not obliged to, they probably will anyway. Who knows. I'm just assuming I'm gonna be made redundant. We'll know by the end of November.
