I've managed to get through to GAME, and clearly told them that the date had changed, they were wrong, gave examples of the correct date, even giving them the number of Konami. They still claimed they had the right date. So I've just purchased it from Shopto, after yet again more messing with card details. Honestly, why I bother with Shopto, i'll never know - they're website is rubbish, they can't process my co op debit card (still).

Retro are fully owned by Nintendo, they're not slipping over to Microsoft just yet... although that said, Nintendo do apparently still own stock in SK.

But he heard MIDI. Why create MIDI tracks if you intend to orchestrate? I'll be really disapointed if Nintendo fail to include orchestrated tracks.

Ws there not a rumour Retro were working on an opeen word GTA type game? Thinking about it, hat could've been refeing to the aborted Rtro Zelda we heard about from Turncoat Cassamasina.

A quick call to Konami confirmed Silent Hill is out this Friday, 26 Feb

Quite a few places have it listed for release this friday Zavvi, Play, Amazon to name just a few.... But others maintain the 5th March. Konami have confirmed to me Silent Hill is out this week; 26 February.

If Nintendo are doing a big reveal, surely they're planning an earlier release than Autumn/Winter? IGNs podcast reveal, kind of, The Metroid Guy will be at the summit.

Has anyones order progressed this week? I'm with Game and still held as a preorder.

I'm just not a huge fan of the iPhone, iPod Touch etc. I find it really quite boring navigating the iPhone, tedious infact (Lindsey, my partner has one, as do a fair few work colleagues). Don't get me wrong, its a stylish powerful piece of kit, obviously has benefits to those with other Apple products but the interface is just not me. Its not that i'm anti-Apple either, since I want an Apple TV; but the iPhone just lacks a pazzazz. At the end of the day though, its all personal preference. It will be interesting to see how Mircrosoft do with their new OS though... they've a pretty big market to tap into with Zune and 360; could be interesting.

I don't think we'll see major hardware updates announced this week. New DS/Wii colours perhaps, integrated Motion+, perhaps an announcement of a larger flash drive as standard. Talk of Vitality too (hopefully, confirmation that the tech will be included into a new style nunchuk. I see a release for that bizarre Wii TV channel from Japan, but perhaps tied to more meaningful programming from networks, or a Wii No Ma skinned Youtube Channel. I'd actually like an update to the Wii menu too; going for a 3x3 grid but with a column for freinds update (who is playing what etc), whats in store at Wii Shop etc. Perhaps some real quirky Facebook integration too (updating your status with what your playing). I'd like to see Nintendo join with Google for better services like Weather, News, viewing Googledocs, interweb searches direct from the Wii Menu. Overhaul of Wii Shop too. On the DS side, again some partnership with Google; again an overhaul of the DS shop, an integrated Amazon MP3 download service, VOIP services and maybe VOD services, linking your Wii and DS via the FCs to veiw and shop remotely. Potentially minor update to include 3G out of the box, but highly unlikely. Announcement of rumble-stylus compatible games. And just a general run down of forthcoming announced games. You just wanted to say "Fanny", didn't you.

Lucasarts have found some Wii love recently - admittedly not alot - enough perhaps for a port of the Cube versions.
