  1. Personally, this deserves a thread of its own but I guess its natural home is in the general discussion. Nintendo vs Keyboard Cat
  2. Isn't it the Hotel in Sunshine?
  3. Doesn't show much, but its got me hyped.
  4. Its possible Apple will overhaul the OS and UI, but I don't see it happening personally. The icon grid is just synonymous with Apple now. I beleive 4.0 may have some crazy tech going on, but it'll look and feel like an iPhone. Thats pretty subjective though. I far prefer the OS/UI of Android - its flashier, its sexy. The iPhone OS is more of a clean, simple look (definately what Microsoft are apeing with WP7).
  5. Who is promoting this as released on the 26th? My retailers still show 5 March.
  6. Yeah, gotta get myself some of that shit. The shit they smoked when they came up with this pant stain.
  7. Its a must buy for me. Since its announcement, i loved the idea of running, just running from the enemy and the psycho profiling just inspired - reminded me of Eternal Darkness in some way, breaking the fourth wall with a clever gameplay mechanic. Its got the attention of a couple of one-console (PS3, 360) owners too.
  8. Arse Crack Canyon, that'll be worth a visit.
  9. I got Lindsey a pink Micro and that was sublime
  10. Bring it on. Completed the first with all three alignments, and you know what? I loved every second of it - a masterpeice.
  11. Personally, I think this generation of consoles just look really quite crap on the whole. The PS3 simple isn't all that; its shiney (and for that deserves some love) but its shape is just spastic. God knows what the 360 is - yeah, its a gasp alright, Microsoft... like a kick in the ghoolies. Wii is just a bit plain - although respect marks for the sexy blue light.... Mmmm, blue light. All said and done, Nintendo 64 wins. [/discussion]
  12. My experience of Windows Mobile has left a very sour taste in my mouth. 6 was impossible, and 6.5 made the experience worse by only skinning the Today and Start screens - all options and menus were kept as unusable as before. Both - but especially 6.5 - are hiddeously unstable, constantly crashing in simple applications like Text messaging and phone calls. My TG01 just freezes and resets at the most bizarre points (ie, when i'm doing nothing and don't get me started on unlocking the phone...). Roll on the Xperia X10 or Nexus One (or HTC Bravo).... can't some soon anough. My expectations of Windows Mobile 7 Series are not high and no amount of XBOX Live connectivity is going to convince me otherwise. I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. Android is a superb OS (in my opinion, the best OS in the mobile market). Perhaps you mean the various manufacturers skinning Android, like Sony Erikson's Time/Mediascape or HTC Sense UI, but thats the great thing about it being open source - you're not tied to what a particular company wants (outside of the native integration with Google). All this said, the next 12-24 months are crucial to Android - and Google's mobile search business. Most pundits beleive 2010 is the year of Android, but with Nokia opting for new OS and being still being market leader, Apple continuing their momentum (and their continued rivaly with Google); should MS nail WM7, 2011 could have alot of competition in the mobile space. Google need some killer application built into Android - like Google Goggles (but i beleive thats an app in Android Market, rather than integrated into the OS).
  13. This. Here's hoping 'the core' come out and support it.
  14. Destroyed. I'm not convinced we'll see any hardware from Nintendo this summit. Maybe there is an argument for a revised Wii MotionPlus remote, but i'm just not convinced that nintendo will risk the confusion. Nintendo have really seemed to step back from DS, the only significant release in the last two years has been Spirit Tracks - perhaps there is an argument that they're prepping games for a handheld (but would they really risk canibalising their own market?) As for Wii, Nintendo have a great year lined up for Wii, with a couple of third parties planning great content too. The only way Nintendo will release a HD Wii at this time is to either reschedule the games for Wii 2 or - as MS are rumoured to be doing - make them 'forwards compatible' with any HD successor (is Nintendo really able to forward plan like that?)
  15. Every game should come with dual covers.
  16. I see death aint all that bad - old Walts looking rather good for his age.
  17. You've not doctored that at all have you. I swear your a living Mii.
  18. He'll do a Yoda.
  19. I was desperate to move to LLU - our area suffers horrific congestion on BT IPstream; so we moved to TalkTalk (being the only LLU provider in the area). Our original connection - Orange through IPstream - gave us about 1.5mps. Since moving to TalkTalk we seem to manage 2.7mps (on one occasion we managed 3.1mps!!). The lowest speed is 2.4mps. Upload speeds are slightly up too - 0.5mps (from 0.4 IIRC). We live about 2 miles from the exchange - with aged copper wires too boot, but i'm impressed with the imprvements i've seen. You could try BT Infinity. Other providers are sure to follow with similar products though, as Openrach are wholesaling the fibre connections (but strangely, ISPs have not started to offer this). BT Infinity (and i assume any upcoming wholesaled products too) have greater upload speeds - Virgins upload speed is 'up to' 1.5mps and some LLU providers manage 'up to' 2.5mps, while Infinity manages a truly impressive 'up to' 10mps for upload (photo albums and youtube submissions on the web in a flash!)
  20. My account went live since the original post.
  21. Google new product is Google Buzz - social networking gone, erm, bonkers in my opinion (brilliant, but still bonkers) google.com/buzz And buzz for mobile:
  22. I actually hope this does come out. I think it sounds quite interesting, actually. Although, I don't hold out much home.
  23. Not bad news at all - considering Ubisoft's track record on Wii. Hopefully, it'll pursuade EA and Activision to ensure that they get their products out on Wii too. EDIT Fuck. On rails it is.
  24. Do not.
  25. Personally, although i think they'll keep the name Wii HD, i'd rather see something new from Nintendo. Yes, a HD machine, but with new ideas and new controls. For those who have larger HD screens, maybe invest in a decent video processor and not rely on the turd of an upscaler TV manufacturers put in their products.
