I think thats bollox about the Gamecube reading discs in the opposite direction! If that was the case then it wouldn't be possible to play normal sized DVD discs via mod-chip! One of the reasons you can't copy Gamecube or Wii games is because of the barcode in the leadin(TOC) area of the disc. Basicly that means when your pc drive tries to read the disc it won't be able to because the barcode makes the laser unable to read the rest of the disc. For those people not in the know the cd/dvd drive as to read the centre of the disc first so that it knows where to read on the disc. That area of the disc is called the Table of Contents area (TOC) also know as the leadin, basicly it tells the dvd/cd drive where the data is on the disc. Sorry for rambling on. But do you understand?

I preordered the wii early November on the pcworld website. I just got an email today saying they are now preparing to deliver my order. I pre-ordered in the early moring of November 10th. So i'm sure they've got yours. Even if it is a different company.

I'm just when did u preorder? I also preordered from pcworld on 09/10 november. But I got an email on 7th saying my preorder could not be fulfilled. Does anybody know when the next stock comes in and how likley I will get 1 before xmas?

The good news is that I got Zelda, but the bad news is I have no Wii to play it on (TIP: Never preorder from pcworld).

I ordered mine from pcworld.co.uk on the ws it says I should receive it 5-7 w-days AFTER the release date. But I am still waiting for an e-mail confirmation.

Has anyone here pre-ordered from Pcworld.co.uk? You see I have also pre-ordered on pcworld.co.uk, but I should have received a third e-mail about my order being confirmed, but I still havn't got an email. Is that because it's a pre-rder and the wii isn't out yet? Or should I be concerned and send them an e-mail?

When I said choice I ment that you don't have to pay for both right from the get-go. If you don't have a TV that supports Progessive scan, then whats the point in the component cables.

Yes but by including the component cable, wouldn't that up the Wii price even more? The price of the Wii is ment to 'look' affordable. By adding component cables it will cost around £18 - £20 extra. And not everyone has a TV capable of proggressive scan, at least my friends don't. At least Nintendo is giving you a choice and not just adding them in with the Wii so they can earn an even bigger profit. Maybe in the future the C-cables will be standard. To make people like you happy. I will be getting the component cables though, through play.com

Well I won't be using it until December 20th (My birthday). Plus they told me they won't ship them until 5 days after 8th December.
