I only bought this game about a week ago, the review was good and the overall public opinion on the game was high too. I've only clocked in about 2 - 3 hours at the moment, but last night I started to get really into it. Normally, when I buy these type of games (GTA), I only really play to mess about and kill pedestrians, but on the God Father I actually like doing the missions, taking over business, etc... Overall I think it's a great game, and should give it at least a rent.

The PS3 isn't really a bad product, it's just too expensive for most people. And everyone I know who owns a PS3 thinks it's awesome. BUT... they also think Wii and X360 is good too, with just a few saying they hate both because their biased. Basicly what i'm trying to say is the Playstation brand is still strong. But the Wii and the 360 will also do well (obvously).

Jasper, i'm not trying to convince anyone. I'm saying it the way it is. Do you really think I give a shit about which system sells more! I don't. Obviously I want Nintendo to do well, because I like the company. If they end up in 2nd or 3rd place, so be it!

I want to believe you, but I know some people who won't buy the Wii for the simple fact that it's made by Nintendo. And these people age between 18 - 35. So unless Sony leaves the console business, these people arn't gonna buy a Nintendo console. Of course this is anecdotal evidence, but I bet there are lots of people like that.

Then why did you buy a Wii in the first place, if you prefer 'real games' anyway? As people have said before, the console hasn't even been out a year yet, and already people are writing it off. I mean how the fuck do they know whats going to be on the Wii in the future. People think because it hasn't got any 'real games' at the moment, it will be like that for the next 5 years.

I want to like this game, it's just that the battles take ages to start. Is there no way to skip that animation at the start of every battle?

If it ends up as addictive as Wii sports, then It doesn't bother me. I suppose a platformer would have been nice though.

How low tech was the PS2 compared to the Cube and 360?

You do realise that PS2 has both the 'game-art' and 'commercial everybody me-too games', right? So why can't the Wii do the same?

So basicly your saying I shouldn't use this webdesign because it isn't pretty enough? I for one hate those 'over the top' websites, which 'try' to be something special. If you look on the net most popular gaming websites are generic, thats because it's nice on the eyes. I agree with you in a way though, my website does need to be different to stand a chance, just not in the way you are thinking.

How long did it take DS to take off?

Well the Playstation and Xbox brand is doing exactly the same thing. It's just that because Nintendo has been in the gaming industry the longest, their games are starting to fade sooner. Also buying third party games might help. (This isn't directly aimed at you btw).

They will probably show off some exclusives at that new E3 replacement event in June.

Another good feature, would be the abbility to interact with the console using the DS, while it is in sleepmode. That way you could access a ton of content, without having to mess around with the wii first. I dunno if thats possible, but if it is, that would be awesome, because i'm always playing my psp in bed, so if the DS has got some good interaction with the console, I might buy one again.

Yeh, but on the bright side, i've just read some more impressions on the game, and now I want it even more! Anyway, i'll probably get it next friday or saturday.

The Wii is hot because the fan isn't on when it's on standby. I agree though, wiiconnect24 is underused atm. Thats why I created this topic, to read other people' ideas, on what wiiconnect24 could be used for.

So will many other factors, not related to the Wii, at least the Wii serves a purpose when it is on standby. Plus It's too late to save the planet now anyway.

In today's topic, we will be discussing the benefits Wiiconnect24 could bring. My idea would be, the abbility to download things, while the console is on standby. That way, any big files would be downloaded faster, especially if the wii uses a Torrent type system. Basically what that means is, the longer you are connected to the internet, the more Wii/pc' you are connected to. To sum it all up, the more people you are connected to, and if lots of users have got the file your downloading, the faster the download speed(also related to your isp provider and download speed limit). This idea would be especially good, for games which can be updated with content, using the wiiconnect24 feature. Hopefuly, this will happen sooner rather than later. User created content, like videos, images, maybe even indie games!

I agree with you 100% I played the PS3 for the 1st yesterday. I only played one game, which was Virtua Fighter 5. It was a good game, but to me, it just felt like a traditional fighting game.
