Just out of interest, what controller option are people using? Personally I am using just the Wiimote alone, twas pretty weird at first but it seems very natural now. I suppose the Cube controller will be the most popular due to Melee. IDK.

I doubt I would use it online. But when family and friends are round, it would be in party mode steering wheel.

Not really a Gap Year as such but I took 6 months unpaid leave from work. My brother lives in Australia so that was my ultimate destination. I travelled around the far east, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam then into Hong Kong. Then down to Australia. The good thing about Oz is its massive backbacker following. There are hundreds of hostels to stay and many different travellers willing to share their experiences/advice. The best advice I can give is try and learn a skill or trade you can offer to people who are willing to pay, I did my PADI open water scuba instructor course. And although the pay is not good, it is enough to pay for digs and food/drink while travelling. I would definately recommend doing some travelling, just make sure you make a decent plan, keep yourself safe, and you will have some adventures you will never forget.

Well get your FC up over in the meetup thread, there are usually a few people up for Brawling after about 9pm.

That Wii wheel looks 'The Shit'. I love how they have extended the B button, should feel really nice doing a hop into a powerslide.
-
Canand, I am sure the official MKWii site will be up very soon. If we get one at all. The may just integrate it into the official Nintendo site. Just keep checking every so often.

As far as I know, GAME still owns Gameplay. That is to say they both come under the same corporate umbrella. They still operate and trade as seperate companies, but they are still both part of the same GAME group. That is why you will often see different deals from the two companies. In the same way as PC world and Curry's.

GAME do indeed own Gameplay. Heres a link. http://www.iii.co.uk/investment/detail?display=news&code=cotn:GMG.L&pageno=2&period=2004 This should take you to Game Group PLC News from 2004, page 2. Choose the 05-10-04 Game Group PLC - Interim Results and have a close look at the part that states "Acquisitions" Heres the text if you can't be arsed; Acquisitions In July 2004 the Group acquired Gameplay (GB) Limited, an award winning online and mail order retailer of video games, computer software and associated products. Our existing ecommerce site GAME.net continues to trade well. This acquisition enables us to broaden our consumer demographics and further enhance our online capabilities.

I wonder if any advanced techniques have been found yet, now that wavedahing and L cancelling have been removed. No doubt there will be some exploitation in the game for some AT's.

Wii Freeloader Thread - FAQ & Info in First Post
MATtheHAT replied to DiemetriX's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah I have it but I am still noobish, getting better, but noobish. You will probably get it on Saturday if you ordered it from VG+ before Tuesday. They are usually good with their despatch. -
I can usually find some random people to play. It is sometimes laggy due to the distance of the peer to peer. But it may as well be the Computer I am playing, there is nothing to distinguish the players. No taunts or chat, not even player names are displayed.
-
Lol, snake is by far the funniest character. Coupled with Dyson's hilarious taunt phrase's. I could not stop laughing. I am such a noob at this game, even my 4 year old daughter owns me.

Daz we are going to have to exchange Friend Codes when you get it. It will be nice kicking the shit out of each other rather than emptying MP40 shells into each other.: peace: -

khilafah single handedly tried to save the impending demise of the Dreamcast. I have a mint boxed with all inserts Master System. I have a boxed Saturn as well, with these games. Also got an unboxed Dreamcast with a few games. I guess you could say I was a Sega fanboy. -
Just had a marathon session on SSE. Finally completed it with 84%. Damn I need to redo some levels to find the Trophies etc.. Oh, and finishing SSE finally unlocked...

That happened to me, and I was a bit worried. Its because when you payed via paypal, right at the end of the transaction process you did not click on the 'complete' button. If you read the FAQ's on VG+ it explains it all. Your order will be processed, but you will get no emails confirming shipping and it will not appear in your order history. I emailed their customer support and they put it in my order history right away, just for my own peace of mind. they are very good.

I do it as well. You can even be a bit creative and make your own custom Gamecube game covers.

In reality, Balls bouncing on a girls face. In the game, standing over your opponent you have just killed and proceed to press down on the D-pad a few times to give the impression of 'Teabagging'. I believe it happens a lot on Halo.
-
Lol, funny. I had a funny moment yesterday. Well, not really funny but I found it amusing. This noob with a sniper rifle killed me at close range. Which was ok. But then he proceeded to TEABAG ME!!! So I systamatically hunted him down, I killed him 12 times before he finally left the room.

The key word there being 'family'. Although Smash is a fantastic game and I love it to bits, the missus and my little girl would rather play Double Dash. And, to be honest, so would I. Not that its a better game, its just we have more fun playing Mario Kart. As for the series having had its best days? Well, I would have to disagree. I think this one will be the best yet. But only time will tell.

Although I have got Brawl, I am more looking forward to this. I know that is crazy talk to some of you, but MK is the main reason I bought a Wii. For me: MKWii > Brawl
-
Ok mate thanks for that. I was rather hoping for the option to use the D-pad to be honest. Give it a MKDS feel.
-
Does anybody know, out of the 4 control options. Is the Wiimote held sideways just the same as it is in the wheel? i.e. Does it still use tilt control or does it use the D-pad?
