Wow they do run out fast. Sorry about that chriz You just need to sign up on Fileplanet, luckily I remembered my old password from when I tried to get a LBP beta code, however just making a new one as the betas went live was too slow. Just as well!

Lol I just had an online game of Wipeout and most of the people that play are pretty crap, so when I get a weapon I wait til they pass and then muller them. Well I was doing this to one guy and it was the final lap and he was in front and I took him out from long range with machine gun on the final corner. I thought I'd given it away too!

When someone announced the lyrical thing I was kind of like 'ah I see'. I don't see what the big issue is. Basically it was just a little religious thing that needed to be taken out. I'm not offended easily, but you have to know that lots of people are. They probably only needed a patch but oh well, if it turns out to be released later then so be it.

Here is the place to discuss your most recent game sessions, what you've been enjoying, what has been a chore to play and any stuff like that. Sometimes after playing something you want to share some cool experiences so this is why I made the thread. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for me I've been playing the Orange box (out for all systems I believe) and in particular Half Life 2 Episode 2. I think the HL series is incredible, I've played through a lot of the 1st episode, and have completed the 2nd episode, and even though I still know little about the story the game is unbelievably good. It's been out for a long time but it doesn't matter in the slightest that it is dated a bit, because the puzzles and situations are all so engaging, you really have to play it to experience it. (The ending was intense as well - I had a browse through the commentary and it is very enlightening, even about the little tools and things they put in the game to make it work.) By stark contrast, I recently played a game called Hail to the Chimp, a PS3 demo and it was god-awful. Why anyone would buy that unless it were some sort of sick joke as a birthday present I don't know. It's basically just one REALLY crap minigame where you're these little freakish characters trying to collect clams. I've seen better graphics from the first PS.

Well done. I have seen you playing it a lot. Anyone think that Motorstorm demo was really good? I was quite surprised, seems quite different, some INSANE jumps and paths in the track shown, better than any of the original circuits. Just looks much better with it not being muddy. Still not sure if I wil pick up though because I still don't like the AI and limited boost.

I saw those sackboys on the Friday show but they looked crap. It wasn't much of an advertisement tbh, I bet nobody that hadn't heard of it before will remember what the game was.

But you were on about playing a game for the first time originally, and what you just posted was about replaying a game. A game won't be as good te second time you play it (usually) of course, but it doesn't matter if you play Halo now or a couple years later. I kind of get what you say though, such as old graphics etc. Edit: scrap that I just misinterpreted you.

The bridge barrel roll is difficult yes, but you just need to get a bit lucky. I couldn't do it consistently but I still had a fair chance of accomplishing it. And Flame, you have to see a Youtube vid to see what you need to do. Tape, get a save file from Gamefaqs.

Sorry Sheikah, I'm not a fan of Dyson by any means but I thought he had a valid point. A couple of years age on a game means nothing. Although seeing that you have a 360 does disprove the last comment.

http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/921/921015p2.html Rated 8.3 Rated 8.8 by U.K Basically it has been rated lower because it lacks a bit of originality, but it is actually a much better game. 2 little things that are very good improvements from my perspective are that loading times are much quicker, and also the ticket system has been removed for more convenient navigation. I definetly won't be getting it this year but maybe sometime in the future. 16 tracks too, much better, although more still needed IMO.

Any of you going to have a go at the Elite Campaign Legend or Beat Zico? I'd recommend going for beat Zico because you just need a little practice and the knowhow and you get a highly acclaimed Gold Trophy.

Ah wait I've got the restore thing going. Thing is, I don't actually think there is a major problem. I just played Half Life and it was fine, it's just when I set up my PSN account where things go funny. I'll see what the restore can do. Ok the restore seems to have done the system some good. My problem is that I've lost all my save data (apart from Snakeball *sigh*) because the stuff on the memory stick is corrupted. Now I'm wandering if there is any way of getting the data on the USB 'uncorrupted' or if I should just get full game completion files from gamefaqs.

The restore wouldn't actually start... Why me? Why these problems? I just want a functioning console!

Ok I think I'm going to do a system restore, I'm fed up of the problems I have had to face, I just hope that it fixes it. Backing up save data now. Kind of nervous. I know nothing can happen to my PSN games, my actual software etc but I'm edgy because what if this doesn't sort out the problems?
