Did you find in the beta though that the multiplayer weapons weren't quite varied enough? Some of the assault rifles pretty much did the same thing. Shooting someone down is very fun however, especially when you crack someone in the grid with a shotgun. Good times.

I thought Sully was a good character but maybe that was just me. I don't think they necessarily had to impose personality on Drake, he seemed like a layed back guy with a funny sense of humour that didn't mind kicking ass and jumping from great heights. I don't think the 'using full power' thing is actually going to make too much difference, from what I've seen so far MGS4 still looks better than it. I am gonna love the game though, I know it won't let me down. Sounds too good and I was a major fan of the first.

I want it to be an AAA game, I just hope that the fun factor is there with all the grey matter and seriousness. Didn't think you'd be interested in it Daz.

Ah OK jumping over the barrier and shooting up into the mouth seemed very simple to me but I guess not if 2 people couldn't manage it. Glad you finally completed it lol.

I've played the Wii and it has great games but they come too far in between, and they mainly revolve around the same franchises, which was why I sold it. There are more than several franchises available as the result of better third party support for Sony and MS. Why do I care about this 'console war' so much? I need to shut up. btw I like both styles of racers

No but... argh! I'm saying no games from my perspective. You've just posted a big list of Wii games I couldn't give a shit about bar a couple, I'm more interested in the PS3 list. If you prefer the Wii's then fine. GT5 is definetly not going to be original, but it isn't trying to be. If you get a steering wheel for it and master the driving then it is very rewarding. Wii Sports 2 will be great but I'm pretty certain it will be similar to the last one like sequels are. Yeah on the face of it the sports are different but it'll still retain the same goals like the original. Forgot about Wii + though, could be interesting if it works well.

You've posted that about 10 times now so yeah. For me there is a huge genre difference, not enough of my type of games on the Wii.

I S-Ranked excite truck even though it was just a 'good' game. Wii Sports 2: they're pretty much just gonna do the same as the first. Whilst the first was good and lasted a while, I'd rather have most of the PS3 games. I don't like Pikmin :/ It's all down to preferances, but sometimes I think that no matter how bad the stuff that Nintendo produces, some people here will still say they are the best.

If you accept my add it is easier. The mouth part is easy, you shoot it and that opens up the green bit underneath which you shoot. Once you shoot that it reveals it's back green bit. You shoot that and then the path to the sponge opens up - you step into it. Maybe you didn't see it but the brown wall dissolves - the lighted brown wall. It's funny because I find it easy it's just that I made it...

Punchout Pikmin and more!? Your excited about 2 games for next year and think Nintendo can pull it out of the bag? No chance! (subjective obviously) There is so much more stuff to get excited about next year for Sony and Microsoft. for PS3: Gran Turismo 5 Tekken 6 Killzone 2 (which I already know will be awesome cause I played the beta) rachet and clank future 2 God of War 3 Resident Evil 5 Infamous MAG Yakuza 3 Heavy Rain (Timesplitters 4 ) Shame most of them are sequels, but that isn't the point.

I don't think Sony will copy Nintendo's control methods. If they tried something different, it might not work/be well recieved and no casuals would buy it. It would also alienate the millions of current users on the Playstation. I think they will add something to their new controller, but not as significant as Wii did this gen. They have always had quite a lot of periphals for the system like the PS Eye, dance mats and of course the new rock band stuff. Maybe they will make these standard or integrate them into the main system some-how?

OK well my level is published but I have a sinking feeling - 11 have played it, 0 hearted it, rated 2* and only 1 person has completed it... I feel like a nob. My first shitty level did so much better

That sounds awesome. At least you have a career which you're interested in! Are you 'under embargo' as it were or can you say anything (any details) about the games they're making? It's funny because I've noticed you must be looking for errors in games now that you wouldn't have noticed before ala the error you mentioned in the Resistance 2 credits. I don't even care about watching that stuff but you have an eye for it all of a sudden. Thing is with your job, if you have to play a bad game for ages like you have done it must be very annoying.

I was just thinking - does it really matter? OK if a company invents something new then fair play, but at the end of the day it's the interface and console that is the best (or you prefer) that you choose. Same with any product. I think both companies have done a lot, but Nintendo's have been more notible and bigger than Sony's, but Sony does well at refining things and making improvements. I think Home is impressive but useless. I liked the videos that seamlessly integrate with the environment, thing is there isn't much reason to go on it yet. Maybe it will change.
