  1. Does anyone know, or can anyone find out for me 2 things? 1) As you level up in Resistance 2 does the new armour/loadout actually affect something or is it just cosmetic? 2) Are the vehicles you unlock during the festival get better/ does performance vary with different types of the same vehicle. Cheers for any help.

    Killzone 2

Hehe, well I'm a fan of both so I'm lucky I guess.

    Killzone 2

Timesplitters was awesome yet that was the floatiest an FPS could get. This is trying to be slightly more realistic though.

I know it's not Resistance that's why I say it'll probably not quite reach the levels of fun. It'll be better for different reasons.

    Killzone 2

I think the game will be cooler and more rewarding than resistance 2, but it's going to have to go some distance to better the fun factor of it. I've really got stuck into the competitive mode and it is so good. The weapons are well balanced and very enjoyable to use and change around. It's the little things in it as well. I was just in a team deathmatch and there were loads of campers on this balcony, well I whipped out the LAARK and launched a megaton rocket at them, It spirals wickedly in the air for a few seconds and then blows the whole area out. 5 kills. WIN!
  6. It's kind of like Portal I guess, simple, glossy art style
  7. Looks alright. Don't really understand it though.
  8. Cool I was thinking about buying one, may have to get that. What is Eye of Judgement?

Yeah I was going to say, the last few missions are ridiculous with the enemies that welcome lead to the face. I wonder what the ranking pace is like, it won't be the same for the beta I don't think. In Resistance I've been playing for quite an age in competitive ranked, I've won lots of straight deathmatches and loads of team/skirmishes yet i'm only at level 19, when there are 50 ranks, and it takes more XP to level up each time. It's crazy the amount of time some people have already put in to get to the top rank.
  10. To make a good one requires a lot of effort, but it is very rewarding if you make a good one (not that I have but...)
  11. Yummy I wonder what the download content for Motorstorm is. Omnomnomnom if it was tracks!

    Killzone 2

The first one wasn't very good, the controls were shocking, and the level I played seemed repetitive and boring. However the guns were still pretty cool. That gif looks awesome! How can I use that in a post?
  13. No I understand art style and the difference between it and graphics, but this had both, and I thought both sides were nailed.
  14. I will look forward to pwning you all then (cringe) ! To put it modestly I have epic skills on Resistance deathmatches but this is quite a different style. And you have to learn the maps and all the intricacies etc. Great when you get into it. I think online can be very fun because you can piss people off from the other side of the world to them just by pressing a button or two hehe.
  15. Whatever floats your boat - for me I looked in awe because graphically (at least in terms of raw technicalities - if that makes any sense) I haven't played anything that looks better. Plus it was nostalgic even though I still don't really claim to know exactly what was going on. Gameplay wise - it was fairly linear, but if you tried to take multiple routes and find everything then it's a very skillful process. For example CQC can sometimes be the only option in certain areas.
  16. Does everyone realise how awesome that game is going to be? I know Choze does because he bangs on about it but it actually will be intense, I don't even care about the campaign! Picking someone off has never been as fun as it is in this! Neither has grenading for that matter. I still doubt we will get many good games going between us because we don't seem to organise it that well...
  17. Vamp scared me much more in MGS2 when you see the damage he causes to the guards, very freaky cut-scenes. He still looks badass in this game though. But MGS4 has everything it set out to be - the stalking section and Shadow Moses snow effects are too good!
  18. I don't know whether I should get the headset or not. I don't fancy spending much time on Socom tbh. Thing is at the moment I have a cheap Jabra but it isn't too great because I can't hear people that well.
  19. It tells you on the syringe thing when you pull it up in the menu.
  20. Yeah that last box works well, it's just I spent a surprisingly long time doing that small box I sent you, it looks like the one in the game. However with yours when you make it smaller there are a few issues when making it smaller, but I guess I can change that by adjusting the maximum piston length. If I can pull this level off it could be my first step into awesomeness. Shame no-one here appears to be a crash fan
  21. Oh yeah those suicide gekkos *duh* And the graphics on MGS4 are insane in some parts, Valykria Chronicles doesn't come close, it's a bloody cartoon!
  22. Are you playing MGS4? I don't remember suicide gekkos...
  23. They won't close the Playstation brand. And that chip thing is quite amazing really, to think that Sony basically undid much of their own work - if the PS3 hit the market first, so many more people would have bought it.
  24. Dante can you post that thing about the Sony chip developing here please? It's quite interesting even if not all of it is factual.
  25. If it makes you feel any better you have an awesome avatar.
