  1. Sorry, but why?
  2. I'm currently working on creating the best playlist ever. It's quite the satisfying really, gradually adding stuff you know you will always appreciate listening to, instead of a bunch of carbohydrates that sort of fill the gaps because it could get away with being there. Hope you can all hold out folks, it will rock your dandy lawn chewing desk accordions.
  3. On a side note I'm not that up for NE gaming nightz but will join in for the epic success if I'm on, perhaps. Depends on my mood. Sometimes I feel like shooting people in the face and other times... Actually I always like shooting people in the face. Seriously though, I'm usually feeling too bored to try and entertain myself with a game. I just leave my system on in case I feel the urge to play something, even though I only have a 5 game library atm. Hence Fall of Man impulse.
  4. I think it'll rape hard. Not like anything's final at this stage.
  5. I really don't see how that would improve the experience much. If I was going to control it, I'd probably use the Move controller if I had one but it hardly constitutes a purchase. Daft just wants an excuse to be an early adopter and get captured on camera.
  6. Why not the Wii board? It's the most civil place to discuss things that I can imagine.
  7. I got bored half way through (I have no idea how far through I was). It's just lame. It was slightly funny to begin with and then got exponentially more desperate. (By beginning I mean back at that E3 conference)
  8. Does anyone have a MIB Neuralyzer I can borrow? Would be handy. It's just that I'd like to play Fallout 3 for the first time again.
  9. When skin flakes rub onto you when you're drying yourself with a towel. Euggggh.
  10. Cool. I'm thinking of getting back into the online if the community still exists (there's some pretty avid players I think) so maybe there'd be an opportunity to pair up with NE. Just for the lols and retro weirdnessitysksnkefnb. The ribbons felt so badass to collect. Plus, no shitty killstreaks to ruin your day.
  11. iPod version lacks the green house though, which damages replayability. Still good though.
  12. Well I'll enjoy my purchase quietly then : oD Y'all continue your daily business chaps.
  13. n00b. I'd say that Nathan Hale was a shit character. But the backdrop for everything I thought was done very well. It wasn't in your face, and reading the intel documents whilst you're trapped in these creepy, depressive environments really worked for me. Did you ever play FoM with a friend? And you're not much of an online douche are you? Or are you?
  14. Totally entitled to your bad opinion lolt. The lore, story and retroness for me make it so much more than what people are willing to take at face value. Plus the weapons and grenade types and actually very ambitious and interesting. Bungie has a lot more money to focus on the presentation to be fair. Yeah. Can I defend myself, finding I stand in the minority position and all, by just saying they're different games and leave it at that?
  15. Ah cool. Was just curious. It's all about the multiplayer ribbons and weapons-reel mate!
  16. Given that this game is so cheekily mystical in its release schedule, I've taken it upon myself to buy Fall of Man. Even though I've never owned the game, I did borrow it for a very long time at one stage, and I've got a big itch that needs scratching. That itch is the campaign (but I guess the online also lulz) so I'm bidding on eBay. I remember the co-op campaign being very very enjoyable, and I'm just interested in seeing it all again and reminding myself of the differences between FoM and 2. Don't suppose anyone still has a copy?
  17. Originally I was intending to just instigate a rant about how bad the game was, and how it goes a long way to epitomise what is wrong with videogames. But then I thought I'd may as well make a really obvious joke about it all. What truly stands out for me is how the characters explode, and then their body fluids disappear.... leaving no trace of their existence! Extraordinary effect! Plus I like how the characters don't run like Gears of War characters, who could deny how inspired that decision was? etc. It's just dreadful, but I fought through it just for a bit of a laugh.
  18. They must've been playing a different game, because what I saw was mind blowing. It's about 3 times as smooth as Vanquish, plus I haven't seen iron sights for guns this... interesting. Don't knock it til you've finished the whole thing.
  19. Just played the demo of this, and I must say, I'm damn impressed. The visuals are on par with God of War III, with great textures and character/enemy models. It kind of takes a leaf from Gears of War, (though it's barely noticeable) but it does the combat much better, with a smooth weapon and cover system, precise aiming, and what I think is a fantastically original and deep gameplay mechanic, which involves throwing your AI team-mate into enemies to slash them up. Even though there's a lot of testosterone fuelled gameplay, you'd be mistaken for thinking that there'd be dreary in-game catch phrases and bad voice acting. In fact, as you boot the demo, there's a depressingly melancholic narrative that follows the main character, who doesn't sound like a poor man's David Hayter at all. Instead, what you get is a very passion-intensive monologue, which foreshadows plot development in the most subtle of fashions. The game has mixed things up, with bosses that don't have obvious weak points, and the game doesn't hold your hand in order to aid you in their downfall. Be sure to take a look at the demo, I assure you, it's got potential to be the most gripping titles of this generation. In gaming terms, this is a phenomenon; a true trend avoider, it twists the term 'action game' and chokes it up in the form of an adrenaline filled dinosaur that took too many steroids. It's EXACTLY this sort of release that prevents you from doubting the dignity of the videogame industry.

    Remixes

Nice remix, I agree! The comment at 1:48 is quite interesting.
  21. Just tried the demo. There's been a few improvements. Everything's just a little bit better. Parachute now included = win. Seems like a bit more effort went into the presentation and stuff. It isn't great though. There needs to be more campaign missions, and they need to be designed better. I played 5 or 6 missions and was glad they added vertical battles and the puzzle level idea was good (reach the target area) but it just seems so small scale. Team 17 seems really limited by their tool set, it's like their programmers are still in pre-school. Obviously Worms is a 'fan-series' so you can't just lose all the retroness, clunky cute stuff. But at least make the single player a bit more interesting! Design the environments with detail in mind, instead of pasting landscapes and moulding them a bit. Add scripts, varied gameplay ideas, special in game triggers etc etc, kind of like they did with Worms 3D. You could have some great platform/puzzle levels using the Ninja rope and parachute etc but what I've seen of the series so far has been worse than half-baked. I appreciate there's a couple of new weapons, they're kinda cool, but why the hell not add some more original things to the main inventory that make it different from everyday Worms? The turrets and magnets are a good start, there needs to be more of that kinda stuff. It is a tactical game after all so they should definitely explore the defensive side of the game, and have bigger landscapes so that it really makes you think about your moves, not just one big shoot-out pile up. I did enjoy the firing range mode thing. Some nice graphical effects. The voice/skin styles/grave style roster etc isn't as impressive as other entries, the shop just seemed damn right lacking in quantity. Needs to be quadruple the size to be an actual aspect of the game. Also, more environment options would be nice. I've still yet to see the basic option to toggle off environment damage for certain levels (aside from blow torch/pneumatic drill damage). Ergh. Basically there needs to be more of a shake-up, and a bit of grandeur. It could be an incredible series, but it's held back by unambitious creators, and probably a tight budget.
  22. I just watched it, read the thread. It's just so confusing. You just wonder how much 'set-up' the guy can do. The music and Derren's reaction at the end almost convinced me to be emotional, but there's so much to doubt and...blah. It's got to the point that I even think his Q&As are fake, wholly made by him and a team of phonies. He's someone I need to see in the flesh, see him do something. Surely one of the most mysterious/interesting people you could ever meet? If I was Matt I'd have been gutted when I got out of the plane. He's obviously sharp as marbles, but as it's been said, he can't have felt that much fear during any of it if indeed he is not an actor. I have so many things to say as I watch, but they fade as I think and in the end I make a post that could've been much more.
  23. You could get eery 'scares' that are on a similar level to Tranquility Lane (Fallout 3). Ok there wasn't much horror in it but it was certainly creepy. In the same way that clowns can be scary, Infinite may be a horrific fantasy. Bioshock hasn't done it for me up to this point.
  24. It's literally the best deal on the Internet. Thanks for the heads up me ol' chum .
  25. Resistance 2 It's just unoriginal, there's no focal point, and the content is just sort of uninspired and insignificant. It's a great game, but it just stole a crap idea from the typical black/white, good/evil shit that was knocking around. Like the Fable 2 thing and others I can't remember posting about at the time.
