Best live acts for me, in no particular order would be: Marduk Watain 1349 Eluveitie Morbid Angel Iron Maiden Primordial Honourable mentions go to Rammstein for the great stage show despite being otherwise quite boring, and to Shining, who would have been awesome if the vocalist wasn't such a prick.

Sweet. Well yeah I tried it anyway and it all worked fine and dandy. And a bit off topic, how's a GeForce 9500 512MB gonna do me? Say i'm looking to get Battle for Middle-Earth II, how well would I expect it to handle that? I'm so out of touch with these things you see. (My dad bought a new computer, maybe now I can play something more than WoW :P)

What killed console gaming off for me is the expense. The GameCube was the only console I bought new at launch, and man did I save for maybe 2 years to get that thing. As if I am going to spend £3/400 on a machine, which I can't enjoy unless I spend another £50 or whatever on a game which I might not like or get bored of quickly. They won't even be making games for it in a few years so i'll have to spend more hundreds of pounds all over again. With PC, the requirements are always too high. I don't want to spend all that money on a game because i'm worried it won't run very well, but I sure don't want to spend a load upgrading my computer just to play a game. That said, i'd rather be a PC gamer. I use a Mac atm (lol) so I can play World of Warcraft and that's about it. Which brings me to the obvious point that I will actually pay for a quality game. I won't bore you with how 90% of games are crap blah blah. . .

This sucks. I got up, went to work (which sucks), lost my watch there (and cos its full of wankers most will probs keep it if they find it), I was very hungry, I walked home, it was cold, then I got really hot cos I walked so fast, and now I have still not been fed! Turn the oven up damnit!

Red and purple blotches on his hands? Sounds like me any time between September and April. Slightest hint of cold gives me an icy touch. Hmm well there's a chance it could start eating his flesh, and knowing his luck it probably will, but that sounds all a bit typically over dramatic and I wouldn't count on it myself.

I usually have to mess about as much as I can and just get it all out of the way before I can work, so I can't think hmm I haven't checked this site or haven't practiced guitar or something because I already have. Down side can be that by the time you get to work it's quite late, you're tired, you still don't want to do the work.

OW I like your intelligent replies, reminds me of the times when I could write like that lol. However I do think you could be a little more empathetic. Maybe use the emoticons a bit more, you know, give some sort of indication as to when you're taking the piss and when you're just being a dick And as much as you infuriate me, it's the forum arse lickers that really piss me off, always was. So I hope we can just move on. Besides, I don't want to go just yet, I have some music written that when I finally get round to making a demo of I wanted to gather opinion on (read: stroke my ego and tell me it's ace).

And btw, I never once said I wanted 'funny' metal. I just stated that Edguy (and other bands) are not serious. Even their serious songs aren't the kind of thing you (or I) can take too seriously. Why aren't Edguy good? You keep knocking them but I haven't seen any reason so far? And liking Black Metal means I have to be grim do I?

Yes. Edguy sing about Orcs. All the time. Please try and distinguish the fact that I am an Edguy fan, not a Power Metal fan in general. Stuff like Epica and Kamelot is crap yes. Metallica play riffs, yes, so do Decapitated. Edguy have riffs too, some pretty sweet ones at that. And I was kinda making the point that these people do not take this shit seriously. Now if I want to be a serious boring bastard (which I often do), and want nothing but relentless riff after riff, i'll dip into my black metal collection. But guess what, sometimes I like to have some fun with some fun music! Haggis - Did you get to the chorus bit? COME DOWN WITH FIIIIRREEEE!!!! That's amazing vocal ability!

You're right. I'm so sorry for not being one of those 'metalheads' that takes themselves so seriously, that has no fun, that has no friends. . . Edguy are a fun band, they have actual riffs in their music, they are gloriously cheesy (metal is cheesy), they are only for cool people like me and not you Even if I didn't think the new album was too great. Seriously though, I am very interested to know what constitutes real metal in your book. I mean, I think Edguy are real metal, but so are Falchion, so are Behexen, all completely different.

It was a bit strange at first but now I have no problem with the mix of AJFA, perhaps because listening to black metal I have heard far, far worse lol. Hmm I am very fussy with Metallica, not one of my fave bands though, don't listen to them very often. At least it's pretty much universal agreement that St. Anger was absolutely abhorrent.

Master of Puppets is a good album, though over time it has lost its appeal to me. ...And Justice For All is my favourite Metallica album. Anything after that is just no. I think you will find there are two types of 'metalheads' (though I dislike the term), one who likes metal for the music, and one who likes it for the image, being 'metal' etc.
