  1. The secret to photography is persistance - just keep taking pictures until you get a good one! I like the top one best also - the light reflecting off the water and greenery is most eye-catching.
  2. I'm gonna have to wait to get this verified, either at the actual announcement or elsewhere. Mind, it's not hard to imagine Sony and Microsoft feeling sore after their most recent E3 "performances" pailing in the face of public interest for the Wii. Wouldn't mind having Spaceworld back either, but I'm still awfully suspicous.
  3. Crash landing on Tallon IV, looking up at the clouds, and watching the raindrops splash and dribble off your own visor. A truly great video game moment.
  4. Not a lot of games actually have genuinly good stories to tell, and some of the ones that do don't sell all that great. There are a few, like Half-Life and a couple of the better Final Fantasy's, but otherwise most wouldn't stand up intact as a genuinly good novel or even film. If a good story alone made a good game, why didn't Eternal Darkness massively outstrip the pantomime antics of the Resident Evil series? Why did we ever care about Pokemon? Who plays Tetris anymore? Is there a deep politicial subtext in Mario Kart I'm missing? Why isn't Super Monkey Ball Adventure better then the original purely puzzle based game? And so on and so forth...
  5. Who? The caramel bunny or your teacher?
  6. What's really pissed me off is Blairs unwillingess to push for a case-fire incase it's "the wrong sort of ceasefire". What? Dozens of innocent people dying everyday and he's worried about getting the "wrong" type of ceasefire? Bloody hell, it's ceasefire you turd. Either people stop firing or it's not ceasefire. There is only one type of ceasefire.
  7. See people. THIS is why I have a subscription to NGamer.
  8. Man, I remeber those two crazy cats when I was a kid. The way they shlop and shlurp about the place is hypnotically bizarre - worth watching just for the simply insane animation.
  9. <insert flimsy excuse to post this here> Sorry, this thread got me thinking about this, and I had to post it. Why can't everything in TV be like this? EDIT: FYI - this link isn't that caramel ad again.
  10. DVD highlight: Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime Play an insane-space-hopper-thing as you wage a war of terrible vengence against an evil penquin race in an enormous grinning war machine! Scarily reminsicent of the current Middle East crisis!
  11. I actually watch this some times. It's surprisingly entertaining in a Tellytubby sort of a way, and is great for just sitting and allowing your mind to slip back into the warm primordial ooze that it originated from.
  12. It seems very likely to me that life, the human race, and the potentially infinite cosmos that surrounds us along with everything contained within, is the result of the most unimaginable cosmic accident. If there really is a God, he dropped a test tube somewhere. No man is ever born with any kind of purpose in life. Some may be given a purpose at an early age by others, some may form some kind of objective based on their life events, many will never know what exctly to do with themselves. Life is only what you make of it.
  13. Cripes, I remember this. Who the hell were they targeting with that ad?
  14. http://objection.4camp.net/go.php?n=450272 A classic stance.
  15. I've got a horrible, horrible, feeling that the "exclusive" info ONM has on REwii isn't as nearly exciting or as revealing as we all hope. Remember their first issue Zelda "blowout"?
  16. Simpsons was pure genius up until about season 8, when it all started to go down hill. It's amazing it lasted as long as it did though. South Park is still as fresh as ever though, and Spongebob is also great, if a rather corperate filling of Ren & Stimpys shoes.
  17. I'm gonna have to start downloading the podcasts - your accent is like a warm glass of Irish Cream. Very sexilicous
  18. As a bloke, I really found the ad quite offensive. "Workmates... without the work!" "Girlfriends... without the five year plan!" Err, yeah. Great. That's exactly how I think and operate - like a complete pillock. <sarcasm/> Seriously though, Diet Coke for men. Whoop-de-sodding-doo.
  19. It's Gordon Freeman for petes sake! Anyone who has something negative to say about it is due an explosive-flaming barrel in the face. 9/10

  23. What the hell is Web 2.0?
  24. Could mean expensive and nasty products that everyone has to buy anyway because they've become too powerful to compete with and effectively cornored the market. (see also: Microsoft)
