11 year old girl hangs herself over Big Brother
gaggle64 replied to rokhed00's topic in General Chit Chat
Soooo, her parents divorcing, and a relationship with her mother that doesn't appear to suggest she has any personal space not likely to be nearly as important as Big Brother in her life then? -

Somehow I suspect the actual reasons were not quite so trivial. -

Yes, living people driven to the brink of suicide for reasons we can only guess at deserve everything that's comming to them. -
Whats up with this "Something Big is Comming"?

Personally, I'm mildly surprised this thread hasn't been locked. -
Yes, I love poor people. They're all so terribly, terribly funny.

I never liked either the Green or Red ranger. I couldn't help but feel they were just in for all the glory and attention, while the rest of them were left just hang around and do most of the dirty work until they showed up. Is there an epsiode when the Mastedon or Sabertooth Zords get to go mono-on-mono with the enemy? 'Cause if there were, I missed them. Always that sodding T-rex POS.

The "couple of days" figure is purely an extreme maximum estimate, let me assure you.

I've never really tried to keep off it for any extended period of time - I like to keep things regular. If I don't at least once every couple of days, it becomes disturbingly difficult to concentrate on other things. I'm sure you understand.

Always a nutritious breakfast.

Split Opinion - Wave Race: Blue Storm
gaggle64 replied to Atomic Boo's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Both Wave Race 64 and Blue Storm are two simply fantastic racing games. The water effects on the 64 version blew away every other water-involved game, until Blue Storm came along, and has been blowing away the water effects from every game since. Even though the wave effects repeat (you have to look fairly closely), they can get so wild and numerous on the stormier settings that you never get any impression of predictability from any of the courses. The courses themselves are never less then highly imaginative and studded with wonderful set pieces: an Orca crashing through the waves; a large chunk of ice breaking off and creating a huge wave to ride; speeding between two massive docked freighters that threaten to crush you at any moment. The whole experience is just plain georgeous. The smattering of shortcuts that riddle the harder versions of the courses are both a challenge and a joy to find and then master. Learning to steer your jetski can be tricky at first, but once you've gotten wise of the mechanics, you'll be skipping, hopping, diving, gliding and pulling donuts over, under, through and around anything Neptune can throw at you. Holy crap I freakin' love this game. I'm going to play it NOW! Only one problem with Blue Storn though: a rather silly Time Trial mode, with a helicopter instead of an actual ghost. it's juts so, so silly. Bah. Still a fantastic game though. -
I am somewhat sceptical about all of this. I want to proof this time around - I seem to recall tanks being deployed at Heathrow once, and I never did hear a reason. None of this "We can't tell you/give them a fair and open trial because it would be a security risk" crap. Show me the money!

From BBC News: I gotta say though even at this early stage I'm a tad sceptical. I'm gonna need to see proof that this is a genuine, bonafide terror plot this time - and I don't want to see any of that Belmarsh illegally-detaining prisoners without trial bullshit either.

Good grief, why doesn anybody even care about the quality of a Frosties commercial anyway?

Always nice to hear from you Fierce! I would just like to say that I'm gald these such debates about race and relgion are currently in the public eye, as well as on this forum. Although it is a delicate subject, I think it's very important for any society to express and discuss it's faith and the faith of others, as I've always believed that discussion is the key to understanding.

I'm gonna say it: Natalie Portman can't act.

V for Vendetta - An entertaining but somewhat nerdy adaption of the classic comic book. Hugo Weaving does well as the mysterious V, alongside a couple of decent supporting performances including John Hurt rather excellent turn from Stephen Fry. However Natalie Portman is rather flat as the stories heroine, and much of the subtlty and politics of the comic book is lost to some unweildly dialogue, but the high action sequences just about keep things ticking over. 7/10 "Underneath this cloak I wear a bullet prooof vest. And bullet proof vests are bullet proof."

I always found the tougher enemies to be quite intuitive - ones which initially took me ages to kill I eventually found myself finishing in seconds, both due to an expanded armoury and practice.

It is one of the weirder Ghibli movies. Really was good though - that cat bus is actually a little scary.

Sorry, I added that in shortly after. Maybe I was a little blunt. I don't think you're a cretin, but in this freakish world that inolves the BNP party, there are various eggshells that need to be not broken, near where you were standing. Saying that you believe that immigrants should have to learn English before entering the country is not an unfair point, but through no fault of your own carries with it wisps of the bad old kind of Victorian nationalism perpetrated today by Kilroy (which I seem to have picked up on). I apologise. Gotta say though, it would take me even longer then 30 years to learn an Asian language! :p
