Here's the fixation with it Ronnie: When I see my friends, we talk to each other. We don't just sit in silence that'd be lame. If we were to game locally, we wouldn't sit there in silence, that would be lame. So when I game with my friends online, I still want to talk to them, so that it's not lame. It basically boils down to this. I'm a sociable person and a MULTIplayer experience should be a social thing... without the ability to talk to my friends, it's not. How you can't grasp this only leads me to believe you have no friends at all.

There are, some knobs are still getting it. I'm not "boycotting" the game. I'm just choosing not to pay for a game that I'll hardly play because I'm unable to chat to my friends on it, because just like MK8 and Smash it'll feel a little soulless to play. If it is £10 down the line or something I may be tempted but otherwise I don't think it's worth buying, as was MK8 and Smash. I don't feel they were worth the price I paid for them.

It's moved me. When it was first announced at E3 it went to the top of my list of games I was interested in... the lack of voice chat has absolutely ruined that, simply because I was excited over the game for the reason of playing it with my friends and chatting, laughing and strategising with them. Now that I know I can't do that then I'm not interested in it anymore. How's that hard to understand?

Maybe as a "special" one team could call out Mario with FLUDD who would wash away some of the opposition's territory..? haha.

I'll not now that they've confirmed it. I've lost interest in the title so I'll not bother posting unless I see someone posting something I disagree with and feel I want to reply. You're as bad as those who post about the lack of voice chat. You keep posting how it doesn't need it. You'll find that you post complaining more than I do.

Given Nintendo's WiiU and WiiU game sales, GAF's positivity towards Nintendo only proves it is not representative of the gaming community. @Sheikah is completely right here.

I'm thinking more along the lines of "Let's create another voice-chat thread to piss Ronnie off". This thread was created just to see how voice chat effected people's decision on buying the game by way of poll. It wasn't to just create another discussion. @RedShell had every right to create the thread as he was interested in the figures. If you just voted and gave your answer then that'a all that was needed... but no, you just have to bitch and moan that we've another thread that isn't actually what you're claiming it to be. Just think though, if Nintendo had just said from the beginning that there'd be no voice chat then every time they posted new info the thread would've just been talk about the game... but because they didn't, those of us that wanted to know would bring it up as we were frustrated. It's all Nintendo's fault.

It does need voice chat.

We should only get behind something if it's satisfying our needs and we feel it deserves a push from us. We shouldn't have to get behind something that isn't giving us what we want.

If I could chat with my friends I would buy it. Otherwise it's a no, I've been burnt by MK8 and Smash.

Sorry then @Serebii When people do use that reason it just dumbfounds me. The easy option would be as you go into the online part of the game you had three options 1. Use voice chat 2. Use voice chat with friends only 3. Do not use voice chat Three simple options that you could choose from before you actually start gaming.

I saw someone rocking a similar set to this and figured I'd create it and see what I can get from it... Ukanlos Helm, Arms and Legs. Teostra Chest and Waist. Just look at this skill set for my Glaives... Sharpness +1 Mind's Eye Weakness Exploit Evasion +2 Negate Stun Tremor Resistance Holy crap it's an awesome set!!!

If the NX doesn't have party chat at an OS level I'll not be buying one brand new. I'll get one pre-owned and cheap when Zelda, Metroid or something of the like is out for it. God I've lost so much faith in Nintendo this gen.

Me too. I'm just gutted, it's so disheartening. I'd have looked forward to this game if it had voice chat... without being able to chat with my friends I find that games generally just lose a little too much (funnily, Monster Hunter is an exception. Sure it lacks something but it still manages to dig it's claws into me).

I don't. I feel I was ripped off with MK8 and Smash. I wish I could rewind time and not spend the money on them.

As things stand, after Zelda and Xenoblade Chronicles X my WiiU will become a huge paperweight. If it wasn't for the Sega Saturn it'd quite easily be the worst gaming console I've owned by a good stretch!

I just can't begin to fathom their mindset. They've lost a sale of Splatoon and I'll be trading in MK8 and Smash soon enough given how lacklustre and soulless they both are. Nintendo have lost me as a fan of their multiplayer games. As my post above states, they're just not fun enough anymore.
