  1. Even closer after todays games - Four points between first and relegation - love it! Wonderful 4 - 4 draw against the co-op today. Great spirit by the lads to come back twice...
  2. Bit concerned I'm gonna pick up the Spurs optimism bug that's going around. The team looks significantly much better with Defoe and Gylfie / Holtby in for Adebayor and Dempsey. Sunday at Anfield will be huge, if we manage to grab a win I think we'll have at least fourth. Wouldn't mind winning the Europa league too... wary of jynxing it... Inter were shocking. Odd. In other news, interested to hear what the United fans thoughts are on the Rooney rumors flying around since the real match. Would you ship him to PSG (seems to be the only club realistically in for the price and wages) for the right price?
  3. Working two days a week also has the major benefit of giving a solidity / structure to your week. It's kind of disorienting and easier than you think to end up on weird sleeping patterns, or out of sync with your friends etc assuming they're all on 9-5s. It's also useful in term of not stagnating - unless you have a studio or rent office space freelancing can be a kind of lonely experience, as you'll spend a lot of time on your own at home. I'd generally echo what everyone else has said too. You're really lucky to be in a position to cover rent and bills through a two days a week job, take it! 2.5/3 days a week is a lot of time to be doing freelancing (plus if the workload increases you can just use your weekends when need be - 5 days should be enough time to freelance). (I've been doing freelance graphic design and illustration for a few months and lately been working on a magazine picture desk for 2/3 days a week - for me it's all been much better with that structure and stability!)
  4. Luka! Phwooaar edit.. mad. I'd be pissed if I were a united fan..
  5. Pity your one about Adebayor not being totally crap wasn't on the money though. I'm not sure why you're quite so optimistic about getting fourth for sure. There's a really good chance that Liverpool will beat us at Anfield at the weekend (especially after a thursday night match against inter). If we lose that then it's back to 4 points, which is easily loseable considering swansea and chelsea away, plus city and everton. Caution, yeah? / off topic
  6. It's such a joke that so many phones have such low memory. I had a HTC desire last year which had expandable memory but had barely any internal space for apps so it quickly ran out. I'm currently looking for something in the £100-200 price range at the moment and been eyeing this looker But apaprently you cant save apps to SD and theres only about a gb free internally. Total joke.
  7. Wanting me a decent android for £100-200 sim free or payg. Any shouts? Had a desire which i liked before I lost it. I had a nexus 7 so don't need anything too great, just something that looks nice and not embarrassing to own like my current stand in £5 samsung.
  8. FOOTBALL Tbf you're perceptions of Spurs are skewed by having only watched them lately against teams that have parked the bus (which has been a lot of teams). We looked poor against Lyon because they had 9, 10 men behind the ball for the majority of the match after they scored. I think it's kind of hard to tell how good Tottenham actually are at the moment because so many games have had to be ground out, and because everything goes through Bale so it seems like we're a one man team. Good one by Jonathan Wilson on Bale today http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2013/feb/26/gareth-bale-tottenham. The Derby should be more of an indication of where we're at right now. Re signings - Gylfie was (I think) in the works before AVB arrived - plus at 22 I think he's got a pretty bright future, unfortunate to be picked behind Dempsey (who really hasn't performed) and Holtby (who isn't as good as I thought he'd be). Don't think AVB has really been allowed much of a say in the transfer market - Dempsey is a good example of a Levy bargin-buy that probably wouldnt have been AVBs first choice. -Disagree that Loris is 'okay', he's easily in the top three keepers in the league, with a good shout at being the best. Probably our second best player behind Bale. - Agree with dazzy hardly any Spurs fans ever actually wanted AVB out. People were probs unsure of how he'd turn out after the first few games but noone was calling for his head. - Disagree that Defoe 'doesnt fit the system'. Fitting the system doesn't just mean being a big lad who can get a head on a cross (which Adebayor can't anyway). He was banging them in for fun before he was injured because he had the pace to captialise on runs by Bale and Lennon. It worked. Need someone in for Ade in the summer though for sure. Agree with Flink about our lack of a striker being a really huge issue. - Actually thought we looked a lot better last night than for the last few games. - We miss Sandro big time. - Roll on Sunday COYS
  9. Just coming in for my weekly Bale love-in Last minute. What a game. Loved it. Roll on the derby!
  10. Summarises our 2013 so far. You're right about the Modric thing. Although with Lyon (and some of our other games this year) it's at least partially because of how much they sat back. Hard to pick forward passes when there's a good 9 men behind the ball the majority of the time. Despite my beautiful moose image posted above, I actually thought Dembele had another poor game, goal aside. Not pushing past men like he was at the start of the season. Then Dempsey / Scottie and even Holtby aren't offering much (oof) penetration. Think Arsenal are gonna get that top four for sure. League being the only thing to focus on, I reckon they've got enough going forward to do it. Bit bizarre that everyone's sort of loving the europa league this year. It's great! Loving the Liverpool match.
  11. Can't listen to them as the guitarist (ginger lad) was on my uni course. It's an envy thing. Good tunes though to be fair. Tune of the moment
  12. Thanks for the critique bro. Oddly the one pushing away my face is meant to be her right arm, didn't bother to include sleeves so I can see where the confusion arose. I mean I should clarify that the whole thing is intended as a joke? I probably wouldn't have drawn myself groping her if it was serious, probs would have layed off the hearts too. Wasn't able to send a bear either so this beauty was also included
  13. My girlf is in Italy at the moment and hates anything valentines day related or sentimental, so I drew a nice picture of me grabbing her boob [/img] She's a lucky lucky girl.
  14. Bang on. It's hilarious what a one man team we are at the moment. I was laughing when the second free kick went it. Really really love ITV HD on freeview. Makes me hate not having sky and resent the shitty streams that I watch games on when I can't be bothered with the pub. Phwoar. Lyon goal Maddog posted was immense too, obvs.
  15. Thanks - and it's India! Half of them are up in Ladakh - Northern area bordering China. Couple more...
  16. GET YER FUCKING FACTS STRAIGHT Winston have been in the top league for two seasons. Aside from that, phwoar, what a post. Let the season commence.
  17. This just in: Bale is bloody immense.
  18. Sweeet. Rossers Rovers and Du Rhearts Love Child are friend and brother of the famous Rodger Federer, so everyone knows.
  19. Will hussle him, sent an invite link so should work
  20. Unrelated, but re league newcomers - Rodger Fed says 'Bro gets this message - It says that the league quota is full so I can't join'
  21. Pokemon Heart Gold Skyrim Age of Empires 2 Diddy Kong Racing Football Manager 2013 Woof.
  22. Dunno mayyttte, we're still the same team that outplayed you the other week (yeah i said it), plus I genuinely think Holtby could prove to be the signing of the window - £1.5m? Phwoar. Gotta hope we have enough goals from midfield really. The hope is that none of the teams around us have done enough transfer-wise to change things too dramatically.. still in forth as it stands Everton / Arsenal haven't strengthened much (and Jelavic's gone off the boil for the former so, same striker problem we have) and we're still just about ahead so, I think it'll be a close run. I'm actually getting pretty worried about Liverpool. Sturridge could the missing piece... Exciting end to the season in any case!
  23. Cool, just sent a link over so hopefully shouldn't be too long till he applies! If anyone fancies a friendly on Tuesday blast me a invite!
  24. Contrary to Tesco's email, my game has in fact arrived! It looks soo gorgeous and it's made me smile a lot. Drippy's great, not sold on Oliver though. Think I could did the fighting too given a few more hours / adding in more familiars.
