  1. Easily the game I'm looking forward to most this whole generation. Blows me away more every time, that video is the most impressive show of creativity and originality I've seen in a game in a long time.
  2. Don't know why? It's not hard to know why! RE4 very likely has the most revolutionary, fresh and incredibly satisfying gameplay of any game in the last 5 years or more. Everyone wants more of it... The reality is though that gameplay is coming in RE5. This Wii game was just to "test the waters" so they didn't want to focus on an entirely all new experience that would be more time and budget consuming, hence why we have a heavily recycled game with a small new portion.
  3. Wait are BOTH the costumes not in cutscenes in the Wii version? In the Gamecube version you had the RPD uniform in cutscenes because it was the only special outfit on that version and all Gamecube cutscenes were rendered in real time. On the PS2 there wasn't because the cutscenes were all videos exported from the Gamecube version.
  4. The game looks fucking abysmal, not visually but in the sense of how awkward and glitchy the gameplay looks. Seems like another prime example of Sega's modern teams not having half a clue how to make a game.
  5. Except it's not really very GTA esque. He said the city in this is more like the field in a Zelda game, an area you traverse between "missions", it's not that interactive in itself.
  6. Uh well it wouldn't be a very "professional" mode if they just let you fly through it no sweat with all your stocked up weaponry now would it? Especially since you can only play it after completing the game on normal once as well. Professional is a lot more satisfying than normal though. I had more fun on my second run through the GC version on professional than I did on my first run through on normal. It's just a lot more intense.
  7. I'm seriously hoping that ISN'T Leon speaking, it's such a crap voice. It's a bit annoying how Wesker is the only character who's voice actor Capcom feels the need to be consistent.
  8. this is all great assuming he doesn't have any bombs planted in his system
  9. Honestly I think SSBM Bowser was cooler looking. The new model has a TAD more detail but the only big change is that they've toned down the length of his hair, which all I think has accomplished is making him feel less badass.
  10. I'm getting the feeling Nintendo sometimes doesn't feel like forking out any cash to graphic designers so just finds a member of staff with some rough photoshop knowledge to knock something up.
  11. The box is pretty poor. The renders are fine and the perspective is interesting but the backround is totally amateurish, looks low res and really doesn't compliment the models at all. It gives off the feeling that the designer was fucking around with the design for a while and couldn't get happy with it so kept adding extra touches, like the red and blue glow and pointless overlay of Dark Samus in the background, in the hope it'd make the picture feel better. Probably an improvement over the Echoes box overall but really sub par for such a huge game like this.
  12. It's not a case of "can't" use it, it's a feature that is pretty processor intensive so the game would probably run at like 10-15 frames per second at best with a large amount of anti aliasing .
  13. I don't think Midna would be her own character, I think it'd probably just be "Wolf Link" with her on top of him.
  14. Why do people hate Brinstar Depths? I thought it was a pretty crazy and fun stage, it's completely different from the rest and you've always gotta watch your step. It also has a cool remix of the classic Kraid's theme from Metroid, which is always a good thing.
  15. It sure as hell isn't.
  16. This may sound sick but I wouldn't want a "cut" version, not because I want horrific violence, simply because I despise forced editing of anything.
  17. I think SomethingAwful.com wrote a review of that at some point. From my memory it was some kind of horrific watersports and excrament related fetish game. Is it definitely 100% that if this game (Manhunt 2) is legally sold in some European countries it could be legally imported to the UK for personal use and not resale? Customs can be really iffy about some things (for example the fact it's completely illegal to import any form of hardcore pornography to the UK, regardless of what it's intended for).
  18. Yes, fuck Nintendo, who have nothing to do with this game's ban, especially considering it was banned on all systems. The status of the Wii version is amusing now. This would mean that perhaps PAL regions will be the only region with the Wii version but the game as a whole will be banned in most countries.
  19. Assuming this is even allowed in ANY European country uncut, would it get through imports okay or wouldn't it be seized by customs?
  20. Pikachu's one is obviously a bit more versatile though and because of that is probably a good deal more powerful when used in the right hands.
  21. Nintendo have only made one loss in their entire operating history I think. 2003 or 2004, don't recall which. It's an unbelievable business achievement what they've managed to pull off in the last 2 years. Yamauchi went up a shitload of places in the listing of richest people in Japan due to his stock. He's the 3rd ranked in worth in all of Japan.
  22. Majora's Mask is probably my favourite of the 3d games. It's just completely unlikely any other game in the world and is so incredibly complex and well crafted.
  23. IGN talk to hell out of this game in the latest podcast and INSIST everyone should buy it. They're hyping it up as one of the most awesome upcoming Wii games that people are likely to shrug off, so apparently they're kind of launching a "BUY ZACK AND WIKI" campaign to get as many people to buy it as possible. I thought it looked interest but I think for now it really sounds like I should add it to my list. As a fan you can't complain that you're not getting good games on a system if you don't buy the quality titles and therefore sales of them are poor and developers don't bother making any more.
  24. Except not because those games have complex combo systems and far more interesting plots and initial concepts. Those games weren't built around a gimmick alone, Project Hammer was pretty obviously built around the idea of swinging a hammer about with your hand, not some awesome deep system with infinite gameplay potential.
  25. If the game is cancelled it's pretty obvious why. Look at the premise, you walked around swinging a big hammer at things. Perhaps it could've been expanded but at its core it was shallow as hell and completely gesture based, no revolutionary 1:1 movement or anything. NST doesn't exactly have the best track record as of yet either, so I'm honestly not shocked in the last if Nintendo felt the project wasn't quite satisfactory.
