Apparently some places aren't going to have Wii Play in time for Friday. Then again, this title will have shortages anyway.

I can't wait, but having no pre-order currently concrete is really worrying me. Virgin or John Lewis best not fail me or I'll be crying all the way through December.

Check out http://www.mayang.com. This is the best texture resource on the net with very high res images. There are a load of sky images here. You'll need to crop an area of the desired image you want then tile it in photoshop. Make a massive sphere around your scene, and invert the normals on it so the polys are then facing inwards. Apply your texture to that and tile it within max and use the UVW Map to set the texture to where you want. If you're having trouble getting your clouds to the right colour then edit the colour ranges aswell in photoshop. I think that should help you.

From looking at other comments I'm guessing it means in-store pre-orders. Unless customer services were just chucking any excuse at me to get me off the phone. I'm not worried now though about picking one without a pre-order.

Nope haven't yet, and I'm not going to bother. As just rang John Lewis, and they have delivered the information that I need. First come first served basis. And they have stock for Friday. So if Virgin Mega let me down, I have a back-up.

Sainsburys - Not stocking the console currently, only games. PC World - Will have no extra stock on launch day, and have only been allocated 20% of their pre-orders. So this is a no go now. An email was sent to stores today confirming this apparently. Tesco - Main customer service stated to me that they don't actually know what 10 stores in the UK are getting the console in. But said ring around stores on Thursday, and they'll know for sure by then. Woolworths - Rang round a few of their stores in the south east. None of them know at this time for sure whether they'll be getting any extra in or not on top of the pre-order amounts. But they'll know on Friday morning apparently when they get their deliveries in. I left my name and contact number with one store, which said they'll call me on Thursday to let me know. Customer service with Woolworths was very slow, and they didn't sound too sure on anything. I can't believe alot of these stores don't have a database where they can check order amounts. WHSmith - Rang a certain south east store, and they sound like they have a good chance of getting some in. I was told to call back on Thursday and they'll know for sure. So I'm not feeling too good now knowing that I really should have pre-ordered. I'm ready for the disappointment though on Friday if I'm unable to get hold of one. I'm just hoping my old work can sort me one out, and this currently seems like the most likely COA. I hope all this info helps alot of you who haven't pre-ordered.

Tesco Information - Just got back from doing some shopping there, and I enquired in the Hatfield 24hr store, and I was told only 10 of their UK stores are getting them in, he also said it'll be the ones that focus on games alot. Flameboy - I don't know what thread I talked about virgins numbers, but you were right. Bluewater store isn't getting too many, but apparently they're getting another lot on top of the pre-orders on Friday afternoon. I currently have no idea where I'm getting my console from. But it'll be either Virgin, PCworld or one of those Tesco stores if I can find out which 10 are going to have them in stock.

I have recently fallen in love with 24. Currently half way through season 2, and after that only got season 5 to watch. 24 just damn rocks. Now I understand why you guys just don't stop talking about it.

Wow. Me like. My K750i has now died after a year. It just couldn't hack me dropping it all the time on the floor, so the screen has now packed up on it. If this iPhone thing has got a 2MP camera on it, then I'll defintely be interested in picking it up.

I didn't even click the link to read what they've said, as again, like with GameSpot, stuff like this does indeed generate those hits that they want. I just can't understand how any publication can review this title in the low 80's when everywhere else is pretty much giving out 10's or around the mid 9's. For reference, the same site gave Super Monkey Ball BB an 8.0. So Monkey Ball is just as good as TP if you trust them. And wow, Okami a 9.7. I know that's a well good game, but you can tell straight away by that that TP was given that score to get hits. (too many "thats", it's late so screw it)

Zelda:TP average has been reduced loads. Now sitting in 6th place because of a 8.1 review from some shitty site.

Yes, that's exactly what happens. But then again if your TV doesn't support it, then you won't have the right cables in the first place to output it, so technically the TV just won't get a signal.

You have to go into the delivery option and change it apparently. Then it'll come up with being shipped 7th/8th. Someone mentioned it on GAF lastweek.

So they shipped all the EU launch Component cables to the US to deal with the shortage there then. Amirite!

Apparently so. I think it was someone posting in the video displays sticky asking whether he could use RGB with it. I mean what the hell is the point when RGB stands for Red/Blue/Green. lol Edit - Actually I was wrongly bitching. It was a mono TV. So I'm just thinking that's sound then. I was the one that brought this up originally about the D-Terminal modding. The problem I now see though, is that this D-Terminal cable is different to the cube one. I've got an order with play-asia, but I'm going to cancel it then re-order once random internet elves work their magic and can actually confirm the cable can be modded. I don't know the in's and out's of it, but the GCN D-Terminal had a DAC chip inside it, and if the Wii one doesn't then simply following the old tutorial to mod it may not give the desired result. And I would of thought also by now that all Wii games should really be outputting in 60Hz. Some of Nintendo's latter EU games only supported 60Hz, so hoping that it will be a requirement now. Makes me laugh that someone in another thread is going to be using his Wii on a black and white TV. Buy a berluddy new TV not a games console that you won't be able to even see colour on. Fool.

Wii day is half of Christmas for me. Getting the console and Zelda, but then giving Zelda to my parents so it can be given to me on Xmas day. Atleast I get the console and Wii Sports to play for that weekend. I'm at uni currently, so I don't know when our tree is going up at home. I wouldn't mind decorating our uni halls and stuff..............then have a Christmas party or something. Hmmmmm.........
