Well, that's why everyone hates Paramore. She can't really do pissed off either. Pissed off is Becky by Be Your Own Pet. Jemina is so pissed off she kills someone. (Similar occurence in other songs on the album) ---- In other news, Earth Intruders by Bjork, over a year since it's release is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. Just the beat on the single mix. The only thing Timbaland's done that's worth a listen, but let's be honest, Bjork didn't come crawling to him begging him to revitalise her career... *cough*nellyfurtadomadonna*cough*

Mercy is very good, if too repetitive. However, it's false advertising. She should have done more uptemp tracks. It's ok, too samey. Only other songs I remember standing out were Rockferry and Syrup & Honey. ---- LOL@ FoB, Chair. I agree. It was like 3 pounds and I like(d) one song, so i'm over buying it. SHITE. Generally agree with the anti-clean-ness of bands. ---- Currently Listening to Accident & Emergency - Patrick Wolf Very cool song! People should check out the entire of The Magic Position, if they've only heard the title track.

Having done CCF at school, and choosing RAF over Army (after about a month of protesting against doing it at all, as it goes against everything I believe in, and I still think it was a breach of human rights), trust me when I say they're as much bastards as the Army. Fuck them being scared of people who don't have crew cuts, or wil follow orders to march around the school yard for a year. I really learnt a lot from that... [/bitter sarcasm]

Why would anyone with a voice THAT rounded and gloopy be all thin and stringy? Lord. I love when my iTunes is on shuffle an it puts so many funny songs together. 1) Overture -Patrick Wolf 2) Declare Independance - Bjork 3) Secret Garden - Patrick Wolf 4) Virginia - Tori Amos Joke songs featuring distorted vocals/crazed electronic noises.

I love Hercules And Love Affair's debut album. I just imagine they're a joke group of bored greek gods, making a funny dance album to reinvent themselves. ---- I need to hear Fuck Buttons and Vampire Weekend with open ears.

I think it was trying to be too many things at once and not being very successful at any. It wasn't very scary, gory or action packed. The vampires seemed a bit shite to me.

Oh. Evidently I was confused. I think I just read a few reviews and they said it was a bit dull. I really like her voice. I hate "clean" voices, usually, preferring ones with grit in them, or slightly roughness. She fits in with Cerys Mathews in that "welsh lass' sense. I'm just so bored of normal voices, unless they're used on good tracks.

It happens with words most. When you're using a word lots in an essay or something. Most recently it was "hair". What a random word, I would think. Same with "was", and other short words. I never leave my arms hanging, as it feels wierd, like they should doing something.

I don't trust anyone completely, but at the same time, i'm not annoyingly paranoid about giving out information, like some people I know.

I DL'd Duffy's album, despite the bad reviews, and me knowing it'd be "meh". I'm in the modd for some smokey 60's stuff though, and it's funny seeing if she has a life. Feels like Mercy is false advertising though, as it's so different to the rest. Best tracks so far (half way through); Rockferry (her first single) and Syrup + Honey. --------- I was listening to one of my favourite bands I recently discovered, Be Your Own pet, who are comparable to Paramore in terms of line-up/age, and I think it's to do with the fact Jemina pearl (think that's her name) is singing with venom and sincerity. I don't believe a word that comes outof Hayley's mouth. It's just normal singing over the rock music in the background. be Your Own Pet's songs are like ultra-speedy stampedes. Plus the more mature content of their lyrics help. ----- I'm laughing at Debbie Harry's album getting 7.4 on Pitchfork.

Mine is Long Snake Moan by PJ Harvey, the sexiest wall of nosie ever. I think i'll change it to Earth Intruders by Bjork though.

Caught them on Jules Holland. Maybe it's cause i'm so tired, or perhaps the studio versions'll sound better but The Rip and We Carry On didn't grab me, whereas Machine Gun was juat amazing. At the start that loops is so grating, but by the end, you realise it's soaked into your mind, and you haven't noticed it.

Rock needs to have an anguished voice for me. Good female fronted-rock; Hole - Gutless PJ Harvey - This Is Love Bjork and Skunk Anansie - Army of Me --- Of course, the original Army of Me is far better but yeah. Also, This Is Love is very tame by PJ's grimy standards. And you goota love Courtney's voice.

You misunderstood. I just said, "Those are just female solo artists though," and went on to list others. I understand your confusion. The word "solo" and the fact the other two bands are female fronted. You'd prefer a real song by her though, as that's cliched and her worst one (excl. 3 Little Babes), plus Fred was rude about her.
