  1. I love your belief that you could have been in the 'Singing Club" in school. All the rejects the choir wanted dead. But yeah, no.
  2. Well Molly is a real name. So you'd assume. BASTARD!!!!
  3. I/my friends do that all the time. John (Chair) often improvs over songs, a lot of the time featuring repeated use of "YOU. ARE. A. CUNT" and other such lovely phrases. Bitch, fuckwit, cunt, bastard, dick, filth etc. All replace the words lyricists work so hard on crafting. Often we just randomly recite the names of film titles or something with words replaced, and instantly we know what the story in each others heads is. Like when I randomly said "Yes! I Know Who Bummed Me!" when my friend asked if I wanted to watch the film I Know Who Killed Me. We just break into hysterics.
  4. I love that Molly isn't even her name as well. A psuedonym, to fool him.
  5. Saw a bit of yesterday's one, and I hate how much of a freakshow it now is. Copying the live auditions from Britain's Got Talent was so fucking stupid. And humiliating. Anyway. Simon is the only one with a shred of sense, but seems really arbitary as to what he likes and doesn't like. I hate them all anyway.
  6. S.C.G, you're my favourite person. You're just great. --- Audacity of Huge by Simian Mobile Disco has grown on me hugely.
  7. Really obvious after Forretress was killed, but e'en so. Confirming makes it stunning.
  8. STEEL fuckwits! I knew it.
  9. Eddage, I Believe In You. Vote: Nintendohut
  10. It might just me not having any trouble at all wih subtitled films, but I films are allowed to challenge the viewer in whatever way they feel necessary. As Chair says, there are loads of possible nuances and jokes within the subtitling. And the thing is, Goafer, this film was made by an american, for american/western audiences, so presumably, he'll direct his actors appropriately, if emphasis would have been lost. I didn't feel like anything was missed because of the subtitles, because the actors conveyed the emotions/feelings of the scene well.
  11. But then, the cinema scene was
  12. Fine, I'm dealing with it. Maybe you just play in a way that makes my spider-sense tingle.
  13. Vote: Gaggle I hate how Cube only arouses my suspicion and nothing else.
  14. Oh lord, I hoped I wouldn't have to reveal who I was. Don't make me. I'm in almost all the write-ups. I'll reveal if pressed. I was around in the big rammy of the first paragraph, so maybe that's where the killer thing comes from. (This somewhat puts the nail in the coffin marked "Cube is Mafia". For me at least.)
  15. Ugh. Youtube have removed all the official Bjork videos. I'm in such a mood to watch Violently Happy. EDIT: This here link is to one of my favourite videos ever. It's just incredibly moving. Yes, that is someone giving someone else a blowjob. Yes those are breasts. But it's so beautiful.
  16. It's all fine and nice to have all of Bjork's solo stuff, but what about all 3 Sugarcubes albums, her album as a member of goth-rockers KUKL, or as a member of Tappi Tíkarrass?
  17. Haha! Have fun with Bjork, even I don't have that...she was 11 when that came out! Drawing Restraint 9 is the soundtrack to her husband/partner Mathew Barney's film of the same name. It's not exactly settled listening, but as a compositional piece, it's interesting, with some great tracks like Storm. Selmasongs is nice, but you might find it peculiar. I advise you watch Dancer In The Dark before listening, or at least try and watch it around the same time. But still...how much is Bjork costing you?! I feel like a mother whose child has just fulfilled all the dreams they missed out on. --- In other news, Temporary Pleasure by Simian Mobile Disco is LOVELY to listen to. I remembered listening to 10,000 Horses Can't be Wrong on someone (Dan?)'s recommendation here, and it was better a second time. Noticed lots of famous voices, Alexis Taylor, Beth Ditto and fucking Telepathe?! --- Got a lot of music today, not sure why. Bought Cat People (Putting Out The Fire) Single Mix by David Bowie, after it was used so stunningly in Inglourious Basterds and I Begin To Wonder by Dannii Minogue, after remembering how brilliant it was.
  18. While listening to Amy Winehouse' excellent first album, Frank, and playing Pokemon, I misheard a lyric as, I loved.
  19. It's on the A Level syllabus IIRC, but not many places choose it as the text due to the lack of material to reference for critics and so on. Not enough time ha gone by since it's release and stuff.
  20. I loved.
  21. Reading Invincible 60 atm. Brutal as usual. I love recognising various shit Image characters. Hey Cyblade! What are you doing here? I love Witchblade minding her own too.
  22. Everyone's misinterpreted what Chairdriver said.
  23. Oh. Obvious who dies from that cover. THANKS FOR SPOILING IT.
  24. I've never been I.D'd in a cinema. Years ago they wouldn't let me into some film...like Kingdom of Heaven or something. Something that was a 15. I was 13 though.
