I've already dealt. -- Music I got for my birthday. My dad always gives me albums that will only further my musical education. We share such similar taste it's scary, except he's been alive for 32 more years than me, so has a life. From him I got; The Clash - The Essentials Donna Summer - The Dance Collection The Slits - Cut B-52's - Time Capsule Bangles - Greatest Hits My mum got my the best fo Jeff Buckley, which feels somewhat random considering I already have Grace, and he basically had one album then died, but we'll see when I get around to it. I also asked for The Unthanks - Here's The Tender Coming And got it. -- I loved how at the pre-drinks thing tonight, we were saying how stunning France's music was to my french friend, saying how she has Justice and Daft Punk (she said something like "Oh you have artist x from here!"). And then I added "And Camille!", to which she responded by singing Ta Douleur too well, with the girl hosting the thing's boyfriend accompanying, despite being neither asked nor french.

Such a lie. Since she looks so ordinary compared to everyone else in the music industry I've ever laid upon. You obviously sit at home wanking over such classics as 2Faced and her cover of Stuck In The Middle.

Thanks everybody. Back from my 18th night out. Annoyed, as the essentials weren't there. I question where Chair was, except I don't, as I know where he was. Me and the STUNNING Solanne were with my group going into a club, when they shoved us out, as the club was full. We screamed along with 2 other stunnings friends who appeared in a cameo role. Me and Solanne went to the neighbouring bar/club and had such fun. And I way preferred the music there,m despite being mostly hip-hoppy stuff, at least it was themed and well paced. Then we got into club no.1 as it reopened, and a whole load of peeps had left, assuming I wasn't coming back. I hated. TBF they phoned and cried their symnpathies to me, but I was having none of it. The girl who fancies me and keeps touching me is really annoying. Generally the group kept getting whittled down until I just left, saying my peace to all. I way preferred the predrinks at a girl from my course's house. She never ended up joining us in town, as she came later, and didn't know where we all were. I had to down my wine glass twice, since I couldn't think of a thing to say while playing neve have I ever quick enough, and was in such anticipation for drunkeness. Yet it felt like my next 5 vodka cokes/whatever i was given were only sobering, and I was so bored of the whole clubbing thing so quickly. Dancing to a LoveGame-Celebration-I Know You Want Me mash-up made my night though.

What a pointless thread to make in the middle-end of the year. I just saw Tori Amos + OneEskimo this month, seen Antony & The Johnsons, Bat For Lashes, Pj Harvey and John Parish, Patrick Wolf and probably others I've forgotten.

Wish those 3 would just get a name change, they aren't the Sugababes. They're 3 girls who will do anything to get to no.1. FUCK ME IT'S AWFUL. (what they've become) What happened to them?

Enchanted Felt lovely. Too many references to great films. Although, I hated how she looked bad when the girl made her dress normally, and how she lost all her innocence. The cyncial dragon was lovely though. Amy Adams was the best by far. 7.6/10

Patrick Wolf used Bandstocks for his last album, a system where fans can "invest" in the production of an album, and get bonus/exclusive content. Also helps fund the touring etc. This was his response/way of battling internet piracy. However, that only appeals to diehard fans of whatever artist is using Bandstocks.

I'm still reeling. Considering I asked for an album and a DVD only for my birthday. My stunning relatives gathered from all corners of the universe (Orkney and their castle, respectively) to present me too many twists and turns, ending in me getting a car. Feels so strange, like I'm borrowing someone elses. Stunningly big too, considering it's my first/second-hand one. I got driving lessons/my provisional today too, so I can actually use it. But all in a ll a lovely day, going to a pub with balloons wrapped aorund me (literally) after college.

Yeah he listened to bits of it. (IRC) Ages ago. Plus I even agree that her voice grates on some tracks. Doesn't make the songs bad. In any case, YS is 100 million zillion times different and better.

That was me! I dunno. I felt some of the energy/vitality on her first 3 is in Begin To Hope in some of the songs, but in Far, ti all sounds ironed-out and plished, but she sounds a bit...bored. Probably because of the production. The bridges in the songs are usually the most interesting parts of the song, like Human Of The Year and Dance Anthem.

Yup. Tori Amos was in the first one with 2 different songs, one went out in the first or second round, IIRC. Some other people had two, too. Foo Fighters maybe?
