I love. A photo from Leith school of Art nativity play. I'm the pregnant woman with the blond wig and the red dress. I was Elizabeth, who gives birth to John The Baptist mid-conversation with Mary. The two at the front are the rock in the stable, and the ross on the rock.

^ Exactly the reason Abnormally Attracted and co. from the last few years feel so unrelated quality-wise to everything Pre-TBk. The synths on Abnormally Attracted make me want to barf as much as I love some of them. They sound like they're from the Early learning Centre tape of karaeoke for children "TORI AMOS SONGZ", or something. They don't sound genuine.

Yeah but I dunno what the sounds mean. Sometimes it sounds like I'm revving it way too much (but it would have beem fine). I do know the sound of when to change to second (dunno about the sound for third, I was just told to go into third last lesson).

Drove around on streets/roads in my own car for the first time. Horrific having a broken spedometer/mph-measurer-machine. I kept stalling cause i couldn't see what speed I was revving at/to, which I can in the instructors car. I was literally across a main road sideways just from going foweard inching and stalling 6 times. Fucking fuck bitch. Never driven at night either.

On a school art trip to Barcelona, I was in the WORST room inthe hostel ever, with lots of people I find hilarious, but am only semi-friends with (i.e we get on, but they get fucking annoying after a while), and for some reason their chat kept me up all night. As though my tiredness was too weak to overcome their voices. I tried to overdose on Calpol (only thing I could find that I knew made you slightly sleepy), but yeah. At like 1am there was knock on the door, and everyone was of course suddenly silent, as they knew it was one of our teachers telling us to be quiet. Eventually, no one got it, so being a fucking goody two-shoes, I had to get up and answer it. I answered it in my t-shirt and boxers (what I was wearing in bed), and it was one of the art teachers, and he made some general comment about being quiet which I was about to agree with, until one of the guys in my room pulled down my boxers in front of the teacher. I remember being so bleary-eyed than I sort of dove behind the half-open door and lay there, hoping my dignity escaped too. I had that teacher the year after, our relationship never really blossomed.

In some respect she oozes so much confidence that it feels like she's made the character her own. In retrospect, I would have clapped as I approached her, kissed her hand, then slapped her.

That Fantastic Four look fantastic EXCEPT THE WOMAN DIDN'T BOTHER TO GET A BLONDE WIG?! Why would you ruin the illusion so shitely? Managaing to get a perfect F4 spandex costume, but not a bloody wig? Bitch would have got a slap (with a rolled up issue of Fantastic Four).

Although...it's not even a big deal. The Rage thing was just an idea to give the X Factor a kick in the balls. It's not like you're told to buy the X Factor single or else, people just do cause it's the result of a million weeks of watching the biggest show in the UK. And it's a statement against the X Factor single. Sure you can all be individual and buy a song you want to be no.1 (that isn't X Factor), but then there'd be no competition for X Factor, as the people who would (theoretically) buy Rage would have their "votes" spread over a million different songs, meaning shit all in the end. By uniting the mentality under one song, something can be done about the X Factor (or at least more than not "uniting").

What Flink said. People just see what they want to see, and ignore that half the time we disagree (mostly on films). (And Dido.)

There's Something About Mary First watch. Really liked it actually. Knew it was famous, but didn't expect it to be good. Very well done and some pretty funny bits. And felt kinda original in parts, and almost like a play or farce or something. I loved the bit when they hear the guy over the radio "I want something to remember you by..", and then she screams, so they assume she's being raped or something, and run in to find her tugging on his leg as he tries to run away with her shoes, screaming "You heartless bitch!". 8/10

Oh god, The Lizard. Please no. He'll look SO SHIT. cgi is great and all, but Lizard will be impossible to make look good/real/at all plausible. (plausable?) While I love the Vulture, not sure how much better he'd be.

Was out this morning taking photos (i.e a slighlty lazy morning), and then went into college for about 12.40, forgetting that it was the Xmas party at 2, so I did no work today, as by the time I arrived, everyone had started to set up. My scene was cut from the makeshift nativity play we put on. I was Elizabeth, meant to give birth to John The Baptist, but it was pointlessly cut. I cried/didn't. Got a stunning (I assume) light..fixture.. for my secret santa pressie. Looks like it could blow us all. 3 holes and I assume when lit, strange shapes will dot the walls. Had fun and revelry at the party at college, then at a fellow course-mate's flat afterwards. Didn't want to drink that much cause we still have college tomorrow, and yeah. It was fun though, nice atmosphere etc. I do kinda love a lot of my new friends, which makes me very happy. When I think about them I kinda see a cliched thing in a movie, shot in super-8 mm, with a Cat Power song playing in the background. --- Continuing the topic of friends... I've recently been thinking about how really, really sad it makes me when people say they don't have friends. I've seen a few ( I think ) peeps on here say as much, and it was worse when the other day, a girl on my course, when talking to a tutor, mentioned she didn't have any friends, in an almost flippant, laughing way. For some reason it plucks my heartstrings really hard and scares me a little/lot. The above sounds really patronising/condescending I think, which is kinda why I haven't posted about until now...but I mean, in my dream last night, I read a post on N-E (first N-E dream! Though it visually looked like Twitter...strange as I never use Twitter) by Goaferboy saying "Well i don't have enn" or something like that, badly written in response to the concept of friends. Dunno why it was Goafer specifically. [/tangent]

I'd prefer he just returned really out of the blue, but was like "Realistically I'm not doing that again. Dick's doing a decent job in my place" *goes to the Seychelles*

I Love You Beth Cooper Apparently the recent film of this is atrocious, but I enjoyed this book. By the guy who does/wrote/something the Simpsons, and is generally amusing with all it's geeky/pop culture references. And the characters have slight dimension rather than just being plain seretypes etc etc. 7.5/10

That sounds vaguely sarcastic! :p Turns out they were going to a pub beforehand, so I met them there, and gave him back his jacket, order was restored, a union between the two towers etc.

Rage Against The Machine Xmas No. 1 2009
Paj! replied to or else you will DIE's topic in General Chit Chat
It's better than most of the last few Xmas number 1's. Trust me. -
Well yeah, why would you compare the two (except both are instances of me hating the fact you hated a film for no real reason)? AAMM is obviously better. Even so, I hate your obsession with time management. Fair enough with Solaris or something, even I fastfowarded through thr car scene, but this was a normal/below average running time IIRC. I saw it recently in a double-bill with Broken Embraces and I didn't feel worn out.

The word Crimbo makes me want to snap necks. Worse than "Hogmanay". *shivers* -
Went out for a drink in the end, gav the guy back his jacket, was nice, met two new peeps, la la la. Got hiccups, which I REALLY hate, so I left. Wrapped up my secret santa pressie (in newspaper, the theme this year), and now have a question; I just ordered a Cd on Play.com, went to checkout, got to the bit where it lists the address etc etc, clicked continue, and then it just kinda refreshed the orders page, and it says I have no outstanding orders, and the Cd isn't in my order history? I assume I haven't bought this Cd. No e-mail confirmation from them either. Should I just try again?

Fight Like Apes. Bloc Party was fine and nice, but I didn't like how it was balanced.
