What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!
Paj! replied to Aneres11's topic in General Chit Chat
Celebrity Skin is a good album for sure and I like a lot of the songs, but it's too polished. Live Through This is their perfect sound, not as oppressively rough as Pretty On The Inside, but still raw. I saw them (or rather her and the new 'Hole') in 2010 when they toured the last album, it was a great gig - she was really on form, and it really felt like a rock concert, tonnes of crowd interaction (people coming on stage etc). She's a great frontwoman. -
I miss Razz, he was stunning and loved Tori Amos.

HORRIFIC I know but I only today finally bought her first two albums. I have the first on vinyl but just always felt like I had the singles already and never felt the need for the albums proper. But I felt dirty and not a true fan until now. Plus I'm so in the mood for that hair, and tonnes of chunky bracelets and layered clothes, synths dancing in my ears all around me. Appreciate her first EVER performance as a solo artist. The forgotten first single. *lies on floor wearing a big coat*

Make him administrator. I like the way he thinks.

This is one of the few I listen to from their/her last one. Nothing on the earlier albums but still fun. I bought a Hole jumper/sweater from Camden market today. -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Let's get married

The other day I took out a few films that I always meant to watch but always forgot about. The Fifth Element One of those ones where you're kinda like "..." while watching, then you realised you loved it once it's over. I love how it didn't take itself AT ALL seriously. And Chris Tucker's character was sensational. Such a joke. Milla Jovovich's hair was so annoying with it's roots, but she stuns me so it's fine. Gary Oldman was very entertaining too. I loved this! It was really good, well acted and written, yet felt so concise and to the point. Like the point of making it was just to prove you can do this stuff well if you just try. Some genuinely disgusting bits (as I'd heard) but relatively tame by today's standards. I can't tell if I liked Geena Davis' character or not, but she felt well done so it's ok. I really enjoy how unpretty she is, she just looks like a normal woman. (I watched Thelma and Louise for the first time too the other day and was blown away by it/her) Yeah I recommend this. Also watched The Fly II as it came in the same dvd case. HMMMM! is all I'll say. / I'll add that it's not worth watching and I wanted everyone in it to burn in hell.

Power Girl loses boob window shocker. I love her 90's Soccer Mom hair.

No cause that's mean on my family/I agreed to it and I'm not paying for the holiday. It's fine cause Chair bought tickets for the London show on the 17th now, when I'm still in the country. I'll just have to sell my Edinburgh ones when I get them/when they're all sold out.
-
The Madonna tickets I bought and was so fucking excited about are now nothing to me as I got the dates my family and I are going to Turkey wrong, we're in fact going to be away the date of the concert. So now I'm £137 down on my very minimal bank account but mostly really really upset I'm missing the one show on earth I'd most want to see. Can't believe it. And my family never go on holiday anymore...the one time... I'm going to wear black and lie in a ball on the floor I also managed to damage with water the other day. Maybe I'll be fined by the landlord too, above everything. I just don't care anymore. She'll die next year and I'll have never seen her. *starts to dig own grave*

Yes. I like the album, but the hype/hatred/media circus is bizarre. It is what it is. She's not going to change music.

She doesn't lip sync normally - she only did so because this is the most watched few hours of television of the year in the US. And this superbowl actually ended up being the most watched show in television history. (Not sure if just in the US or the world) She wanted it to go without a hitch, so I forgive her lipsyncing, as she actually bothered to rerecord all the vocals - it wasn't like it was just the album track playing in the background. -- aaaaaaannnnd I'm seeing her in July with Chairdriver! Wooooooo! My body is ready.

Marry The Night was obviously the last proper single. I'd be surprised at any more released. It's floppage was probably rather disorientating for her (and unfair to the song, which is brilliant). I'm in so much more of a Madonna mood atm (in about 3 minutes will be buying Madonna tickets), but would like to see Gaga too. Glad her UK dates will be later in the year and not announced right now.

Not exactly as it is in the Ultimate one with all the backstory, just that the suit would have been much more easily added to the film through scientific origin/the 'cancer cure' thing - rather than an utterly stupid black blob that fell from the sky. Woulda taken like 3 minutes to explain it better and then that could've been that. And the film being crammed is another issue.

The Ultimate Venom would have been a FAR better way of doing Venom in Spider-Man 3.

Happy Birthday You make me sique

I've only seen one concert there before and was seated (and have seen tonnes of rugby matches and things there, again seated)... But it was confusing finding my way around last time. Only cause I was late and missed my party sitting down.

Madonna is playing Murrayfield stadium in Edinburgh. When I'm there. I never imagined this day would come. But then she's always had such a soft spot for Scotland. Bagpipedonna I know her tickets are outrageously expensive - she even admitted as much on tv recently (I love though, not even trying to lie). I'll get the cheapest seat and love it. I NEED TO. And after watching her flawless Superbowl performance I'm even more in the mood. The queen of life.

I'm incredibly lucky in that I 'know I'll be fine whatever happens' - in the sense that a sole wealthy relative basically pays for all the significant lump sums in my sister and I's life (i.e fees, bills - not for like things we like the look of...), and when he dies I/we get his rather...unique...property/land. I take that for granted way too much. I need to find a job. I hate rejections. / I apply for like 3 places at a time and somehow hope one of those 3 will fall in love with my lack of experience.

Was so ill/feverish/shaking/weak last few days. Now that's all gone, my mouth is in intense pain. What I thought was just an annoyingly placed mouth ulcer has now spread it's insidious influence around my mouth leading me to think it's some sort of...gum infection (my teeth aren't sensitive or sore at all)? It's really painful and I can't eat properly without food touching one of the sensitive areas in my mouth and making me internally crai. I tried having a mcdonalds today and ended up having one and a half chicken selects and half a pack of medium fries. Managed a banana an hour or so ago too. First bite was agony though. I NEED an appointment at the uni doctor's tomorrow, I don't care what the rude bitch behind the desk says about same day appointments. I'll punch her in the mouth then she'll know how I feel.

I loved The Illusionist! I saw it in the very cinema in Edinburgh the character goes into in the film - it was so surreal.
-
Finish it because you may as well, but it famously had trouble in the second season because the writers were forced to 'solve the mystery' mid-way through, so the last half feels a bit limp in comparison.

He's so Audrey Horne, isn't he?

The song is endearingly throwaway/bad, but I love the video.
