The Dark Knight Rises (Spoilers inside, enter at own risk)
Paj! replied to Retro_Link's topic in General Chit Chat
Well Catwoman wasn't really a petty thief in the 2004 movie. IIRC she stole jewels ONCE, and that was before she even made the costume. Then she returned most of them. Most of that film had her as a (framed/misunderstood) hero. :/ I agree with you though. -

Catwoman is an incredibly interesting/flawed character, so it would be disappointing if they played as just a boring vigilante...her questionable ethics/stance on things is what differentiates her from Batman's allies. Even in the stellar version from Batman Returns, she was just kinda maddened rather than particularly bad or good. -

The Dark Knight Rises (Spoilers inside, enter at own risk)

Never read When In Rome, so wasn't aware there was a connection. That could be something used. That article did remind me that she was meant to be a prostitute...that'd be cool. If she was an escort or something, who goes from minor theft from clients to something bigger as she becomes Catwoman... -
Did you read the Top 50 X-Men of 2010 poll (it was delayed for months until recently completed)? The write-ups are hilarious, and refer to a lot of the in-jokes.
-
I hate unnecessary endangerment of oneself and/or others, so I would never run to get through closing doors. ALSO I hate people who stand past the yellow line on train tracks.
-
It's just like...of course all my fellow X-Men fans would be like that. I love it. I love the in-jokes/forum tropes too. Fucking hilarious once you cotton onto them...about Rogue being illiterate, the whole Sisterhood storyline revolving around a lock of Jean Grey's pubic hair, Kitty Pryde being a racist... <3

Comic Book Resources forum (specifically the X-Men Forum) is hilarious. For some reason. Attracts every type of person I love/tells so many jokes.

For organising things too, it saves time. Events are tres useful. Since texting is so annoying an unsatisfying. And hurts my fingers since I'm ALWAYS the one organising things, and my phone has to manually add a new person to a text every time, so lots of scrolling with my sore thumb. Basically Facebook is good.

I haven't seen 9. But I partially saw I'm still waiting Comedy Rainbow to Nein that. ^ I only saw half and my only reaction was "...".
-
I'm not asking it to become facebook, but it's irritating. I'd almost rather I wasn't able to see the conversations. It'd be less annoying.
-
This. Maybe why it still feels shitty and unfinished to me. Why isn't there an obvious button to press to see conversation? So easy but not there. I'm aware. I find so little of interest there (I know that it's made by who you follow, but I don't know who else to follow. I know no one else on it, I don't REALLY care what Eliza Dushku did last weekend, but I may as well have something on my feed..?). I dislike that there's no "base". No respite. It's like SAY SOMETHING OR DON'T. And if you don't..well there's no point in having one really (since it's made annoying to just spy on people's conversations). And I know no one real on it (apart from you and selects) so it's not even like I have a reason to be on there to chat to people. I have no incentive to say anything to 21 followers, the majority of which are randomers. That said, I'm trying to give it it's time again.

The verb "lel" conjures up this in my head: My favourite thing.

Around The World In A Day might be my favourite Prince album. The one everyone forgets.

I KNEW NO ONE WOULD REVIEW MY ONE. Ugh. Can the rule be no posting without a review, unless you differentiate it? Like make it size 1 font or bracket it or something? ahsff j ---- I enjoyed that song. Feels like something I enjoy without committing to owning though. But entertaining. -

Dye your hair that colour. NAw.

(I do quite like Halle Berry as well. Even though I don't recall ever watcing a particularly good performance by her. I haven't seen Monster's Ball which is supposed to be her best so...)
-
Is there not some new Halle Berry film about this? Frank and Alice or something. Or maybe she's not a criminal in that one. I think her split personality is racist.
-
Well as a design, it's just arrows pointing to it! (and snce he's running, another diagonal is creating in the crease of his costume)
-
The lack of belt in the design just really draws your eyes to his crotch.
-
I was shocked by this film. I would say stunned but that word holds no weight anymore.

I can't be bothered listening fully since I've heard multiple clips already, and it's barely "the new Lady GaGa song" as it's clearly a catwalk show theme. Also that version omitted the intro I've heard where she says in an English accent "I don't speak German but I can if you'd like" which was my fave bit. I hope her new album keeps the 90's house music vibe. One again trailing after the superior Roison . *shakes head* --- I've found myself returning all of a sudden to M.I.A's very divisive last album. I've enjoyed the singles obvs (Born Free, XXXO, It Takes A Muscle), but the album tracks like the above are much more confrontational affairs.

Not scary (that isn't a prerequisite for "sickness"/boundary pushing anyway): Isn't I Spit On Your Grave meant to be the sort of thing you're after? Banned in the UK/places until recently I think. Not seen, but it's being remade (joy).

Mah Faysbuhk I have twitter but don't use it. I can't reconcile with it. I appreciate it and it's lowering of the divide between "famous people" (or whatever) and the common folk, but really, I'm so bored of reading uninteresting things with no bearing on my life. And anything interesting is usually just a reposting of news from elsewhere. If I was famous, I'd definitely use it. But I can make status updates on Facebook (which is incredibly useful/fun), and people will actually read them. Have a Myspace, not been on in...3 years probably? Might try now. Have a Bebo since that was facebook before facebook in the UK. Went on the a lol yesterday. It's shitty.
