  1. I felt it deserved a reply, but didn't want to skew the results of his test. Also, it's somewhat lols that it's Moogle thats taking the moral high ground. Also, I'm somewhat drunk.
  2. 17. Turn 18 in March. Too far away. FYI, you are on ignore, but Han mentioned this post to me and since it's one of the rare instances where you weren't a pretentious dick in your posts I felt it right to reply.
  3. What did Fish do? And I hate you for having Cider. If I had cider I would be significantly drunker. I gotta get me a fake ID so I can actually buy this shit instead of stealing my dads.
  4. Yeah, whats that red stuff underneath the pepperoni? Oh yeah, its tomato.
  5. Hooray for tomato allergies rendering this discussion moot for me!
  6. By my count there was 10 in my first post. And it is me in that pic, massive chin and all.
  7. Because search only finds a certain amount. So that's my oldest that the search function finds. Treat - 20pts. Check out the messy hair due to the nap I took inbetween taking these pics. Trick - 20pts
  8. Sorry Rez but I'm about to ruin your "no finger" thing...it's hard to get yourself in the picture when you have to camera man for yourself! 4 Storey Card Tower - 80pts A Cloud - 20pts (easiest bish ever for us Scots. The sky is just one big one) UIG recreation - 40pts Sig + Av recreation - 40pts some really boring ones... My first thread - 10pts Oldest post - 10pts Post I thanked - 10pts (is there anyway of tracking what posts you've thanked? I went for the safe option because I couldn't remember any in particular) IRC Room - 20pts Page torn from a dictionary - 50pts (the word at the top is scavenger, but blurry camera is lose) Messy Room - 40pts Edit: Oh, my own BISH. I'll do that next time.
  9. Yeah that's pretty sweet, you're pretty much getting two brand new games for free.
  10. So Rosberg and Barrichello to stop seats then?
  11. Ended up buying this today. Wasn't going to, but the game I bought on eBay hasn't even been dispatched by the guy yet, and I had enough points on my account already anyway. Downloading now while I'm at the gym, and then shall return to some GTA goodness.
  12. Yep, it's this. It says "Add £0.00" next to it, but when I do, it jumps from £519 to £608. Ah; it's adding in Microsoft Office with 64bit, which I can't remove. How idiotic.
  13. Actually, going through it again, you can change to 64-bit for no extra cost. So no problem there. Looks to me like the business one is the way to go. leetpants, you were the one who mentioned the DDR3 RAM - how much difference does that make? That's the only downside I'm seeing. Edit: Either I'm going crazy or some offer or other has managed to end in the last hour, because going through building it again I'm getting a price of £668, not the £599 I had before.
  14. Hmm. I didn't find it when I searched the other day. Weird. Regardless, theres no cashback from there for the Studio 17 so far as I can tell. 5% for the business, so tahts £30. So basically, the business laptop is £100 cheaper. Googling hasn't given me much in the way of comparisons between the graphics cards. A slightly weaker battery, DDR2 RAM and a smaller hard drive in exchange for a faster processor and £100 in my pocket. I think my parents were thinking of a budget around £600 anyway, so the £675 would have taken a bit of convincing. Unless anybody knows of any reason not to, I'll probably be going for that Business one. Edit: Just noticed, the business laptop uses Windows 7 32bit, as opposed to 64bit on the other one. Does that make a significant difference?
  15. Ah, cool, thanks for the tip. My parents own their own business, so I could probably put it through that as a business expense, since I'm technically an employee. And I already checked Quidco, Dell isn't on it. Unless you just mean the business site? Edit: Going through the business side I've built this for £600 (excluding Qudico): Better, worse? Processor looks better, RAM is the same amount but DDR2, hard drive is smaller (but not that important), graphics card could be either way, battery very slightly smaller.
  16. Thats the one I quoted above The processor I posted is only a tenner more, I added the 9 cell, and theres a 5% off code for orders over £700, so I bumped up the HDD and the WiFi Card. That takes it to £674. Fairly sure a spare battery would be more money, plus the hassle of swapping, and neither would be as good as one 9 cell. When you say "good offer" though, does that mean I should be buying it asap, or will it last a while? Or will there be more as we get closer to Christmas?
  17. Apparently I forgot to sign up for this.
  18. Mmm. I'll keep looking I think. Using Dell to get a rough approximation of price with the spec I'm after. £665 for this: Whats the current wisdom with WiFI cards? Is it wise to pay a little extra to get one thats N-compatible, or will that only be useful if I have an N router? Infact, usign a discount code, I can get one that is 802.11n for an extra £5, or 802.11 a/b/g/n for an extra £10. Which is the best value, given that I expect to have this laptop for a few years? Strangely the 17" is cheaper with that graphics card than the 15".
  19. They won't get majority, now. But if theres a hung parliament, and they win a seat or two, they could end up holding a lot of power.
  20. So you guys reckon I could do better than the one I posted above then? Couldn't really find any reviews via Google.

I'm thinking I should buy my own guitar soon. Currently just playing my Dads. Thing is, it's an awesome, mega-expensive guitar. So anything I buy for myself won't be as good. Though I will be able to give it a name :p

Ooh, some Jimmy Eat World songs is a good idea. Dunno how I stumbled on Yellow Submarine, but yeah, it's really basic :p On beat strumming, basic chords. Only thing slightly difficult is the speed at which you switch between, but all that is is good practice. Perhaps I will look into some other Beatles songs too
