I finished Act 3 eventually but needed to level up a lot and do some other stuff for the Platinum, which I just didn't care for then. Maybe early next year I'll play it again and see what happens I think loading up the save and getting back into it wouldn't feel right.

Played this for 6 hours and my PS5 says I'm 33% done with the game. Seems odd, because I've read that the main story is about 30 hours long? I also spent at least 2 hours farming exp Usually the percentage isn't too far off, at least in my experience, so I'm a little suspicious. Anyways, just got told at work that there's not a lot to do and I should be "on call" for today, which is weird for someone who works part time in quality assurance. Well, I don't mind. I won't have time to game later today so why not during work hours. MORE EXP, HERE I COME! I've said it before, but there's something about the Dragon Quest series that just soothes me. I love everything about it (aside from the fact that some games are stuck on inferior hardware). I really need to get to playing every single title, but getting hold of them (and the hardware) seems like a nightmare. I've only really played DQVIII and XI (EDIT: How could I forget Dragon Quest Monsters on Game Boy? It was the first DQ game I've ever played and oh boy, I've played it a lot ). Maybe I should replay XI and then go after the Platinum

Been playing this for a bit and...I love it. It's soothing, it's making my good mood even better and I just enjoy grinding away the hours It'll probably take me until next year to finish it, though. Unless my pace improves My gaming time is split between this and CoD: BO6 (15% to 85%). And I don't game that much these days.

Looks like the end of 2024 will be similar to its start: Barely any games finished. I stopped playing this because it's a little too bleak for my current mood (which is surprisingly good). It's a great game and I'm looking forward to finish it eventually, but it's on hold indefinitely. I'm about 70% done with the story, so unless the end shits the bed, the game is definitely worth it at that price!

I see. It's a weird one. I come back to the game regularly on my Steam Deck but eventually just stop for a few weeks. I've just bought it. It's only 4 bucks. No real harm done

Hello. Question: Is Ode to Castlevania worth it to someone who always gets over Vampire Survivors after playing it again for 5 hours?

Almost 60 hours in, farmed way too much and should probably just increase the difficulty Currently at what people say is the third story dungeon and depending on how quickly I dispatch of its boss, I will up the ante and go with Hard difficulty. Absolutely loving the game. I have a theory about the world, which is kinda obvious from the name and kinda shoved into your face right from the beginning...looking forward to seeing whether I'm right or if it's going to be a "haha, this was way too obvious, you fool"-situation.

Aside from I think the final boss fight and the story, yes. -
Love that in dungeons there appear to be regular enemies that can wreck your life amongst all the other trash mobs. They usually also give decent exp so it's always a great way to farm. And yes, I have been farming a lot again and will keep doing so for a while

Got a mission objective just now... GOTY!

Phew, lots of exposition, that's for sure. While I have reached the point of "you can spend your free time how you like", there are still a lot of days with activities set in stone. But I feel things are going to change soon. Anyways, reaching the 30h mark and this is everything I wanted/expected it to be. Great tone, gloomy atmosphere, interesting characters, lively world, lots of intriguing set-ups and lore...I think this will be an all-time great!

Yeeaaah, that story dungeon was a breeze. And the first bounty (THERE ARE BOUNTIES IN THIS GAME) was, too. I LOVE IT I'm the strongest to ever live.

Okay...after 25 hours with the demo I might be a tad too strong
-
Alright, I'm going in Time to actually finish what's in the demo first, though, hehehe

Today is so slow I will be at my local store 10am sharp. I will open the store myself, if I have to.

WOW. Nothing of interest to me in this list. That's a first. Not a biggie, though, given other releases this month. -

100 bucks? Lol. If you want a truly helpful alarm clock, get a sunrise alarm clock.

Holy Moses, the DLC crept up on me. Did not realise Vessel of Hatred is out today. I really shouldn't buy it, given my limited time and other future game releases but man...I do love me some Diablo 4 and the DLC seems to be substantial and fun.

Nah, I won't After 24 hours, I think I'm done with the demo. Got all currently available Archetypes maxed out, got lots of money, lots of items, lots of fun. I won't touch the demo until the full game is released and then I'll leave the dungeon, deal with items/equipment/etc. and truly begin what seems to be great JRPG adventure. Can't wait. Haven't been this excited for a release since Astro Bot
-
I'M STILL THERE. One more Archetype to max out. Will I leave the dungeon then? Probably not. Once an Archetype is at max level, it still gains experience. And for every 1000 A-EXP you get an item that grants that amount to an Archetype of your choosing. Which means: I will grind out a few of those items before full release. Also managed to gather 200k of each currency now. Not sure if I'll reach the end of the demo by next Friday

Reaching the 20 hours mark... Aside from maybe the PS1 demo discs back in the day, I don't think I've ever spent this much time with a demo Steam Deck + remote play via chiaki4deck + YouTube or Bundesliga = best farming set-up.

Given from my experience with the demo so far, I'd say: Yes, it's Persona reskinned but without the monster collecting aspect. There's something similar in place but it doesn't seem like there are 192 "Personas" to collect. Social links are still there, same as certain characteristics that you can level up with activities that progress time.
