  1. Those aren't hard, they're impossible.
  2. Sounds good Ant, nice one! She's a lucky lady. We should go on a double date
  3. 5 Abraham Lincoln (or rather, a statue of him!)
  4. RUGBY CHIEFS HAVE SOCCER IN THEIR SIGHTS The Guinness Premiership has set its sights on supplanting the Football League's Championship as English sport's second most popular competition. Attendance figures for domestic rugby union continue to soar with last season producing a 10th successive year of expansion as crowds averaged over 11,000 for the first time. The Championship currently attracts average gates of 18,000 but Premier Rugby - the umbrella organisation for the 12 Guinness Premiership clubs - believe that figure is within reach. PRL have projected a 60% growth in English club rugby over the coming decade and chief executive Mark McCafferty believes the Championship could be overtaken within the next five years. "Rugby union is second only to football in terms of popularity. We've edged ahead of cricket as the nation's second sport," said McCafferty at Thursday's Premiership launch. "It's unlikely we'll ever catch Premier League football but it's a reasonable target to want to overhaul the second tier of domestic football. "There's plenty of stadium expansion going on at the moment and more will be undertaken over the next few years, so there's little doubt catching the Championship is a realistic goal. "Of course the Championship may also grow in that time so it's a moving target, but in the next five to 10 years we want to have caught up. "That would make us the second most popular league in any sport in the country, trailing only the Premier League. It's a great target to set." The remarkable growth in popularity of rugby's Premiership is partly a result of its ability to tap into audiences who have traditionally avoided football. While football crowds are dominated by adult males, rugby has sought to attract families to a sport McCafferty claims prides itself on its inclusively. "The Guinness Premiership has come a long way and the growth is sustainable," he said. "I believe there are plenty of people out there who want to watch club rugby. We must broaden its appeal. "One of rugby's advantages is the fantastic atmosphere we have at games. It's continually remarked upon that rugby is a very comfortable sport to watch in terms of atmosphere. "Families are able to come with their friends and there is never a problem bringing children. That's the target audience that is open to us but not so available to football." ********************** Nice to hear that rugby union is the second most popular sport in the UK now instead of cricket. I can only see viewing figures/fan numbers going up
  5. Never had a problem with it, and it's not like girls dont take it up the backside.
  6. No I don't think that's what he was asking...
  7. Knightmare was the best piece of telly on in the 90s! Got much better as the show went on as well!
  8. Feature wise this is miles better than the iPhone, and it's very sexy as well. Announcing a new iPhone 6-7 months after lauch? Not a good idea. Unless it's an iPhone nano. And even that that would be a bad idea if the tech in it is limited.
  9. Did anyone else watch Where on Earth Is Carmen Sandiego? Used to LOVE that show.
  10. Also I respect your opinion completely, which you're of course entitled to and if it applies to you then great! Personally I don't think you'll find many people agree that they're half a person until they meet someone. If I were single I'd be perfectly happy with myself. I'd just like a bit of company, and loving someone is the best feeling in the world to me. I just fancy having someone to share life with, as well as enjoying every bit of it 'to myself' if that makes sense.
  11. Ah slight misunderstanding mate... I meant what's wrong with us enjoying ourselves on this topic by saying 'what shall we talk about now?'. Obviously that would involve something to do with sexuality. Mmmmmmmm goats cheese. Now that turns me on. (err, ok that sounds wrong.)
  12. If I may ask... what's wrong with that? Can we not enjoy ourselves? Not being sarky or anything, just curious.
  13. Stunning, STUNNING box art. Much nicer than this old one: http://gonintendo.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/smgboxart.jpg (the SMG logo is gorgeous though)
  14. The fact that you say that watching Gladiators live wasn't all that makes me feel slightly less devastated that I didn't get to go when I was a kid Villan! Eliminator must have been cool though.
  15. Yeah that was brilliant too. I remember the Big Pork Pie best of all.
  16. Very very nice avatar. I like the edges a lot and the colours are nice. The text, while done on purpose, is very hard to read, and nearly impossible. Obviously a bit of design and creativity went into having it like that which is fine, but a tad more readable would have been better. 8
  17. Not saying I'll be buying any, I doubt most people who know how to rip dvds would. Guess they're for the more casual type of market.
  18. UK is a cool guy, I like him a lot. His posts are great to read, and he seems really mature for his age. Still don't understand his sig message but hey. Oh and I still think I'm 'arder than him
  19. Agreed, the "new" Doug was awful. *very, very jealous*
  20. It's not that huge a rip-off. £1.50 would have been better but it's fine.
  21. Clarissa was awesome! I'm not surprised about your dad, not many people could say no to her! Even I'd find it hard! YES!!!! Marry me. You've just named pretty much my favourite shows from the 80s/90s.
  22. Pogs were legendary
