Oh, I'm not for a second denying it isn't picturesque and so forth. It's just horrifyingly boring. There's literally nothing note-worthy to do if you're not a tourist. It's almost suffocating being back here after living in a city again.

Compared to Pickering, it is. Anything compared to Pickering is if I'm honest. After living here for 10 years, even Cambridge feels like a major city when I visit, when in reality it's basically a relatively average size town.

Guys. Help needed. Massively so. Basically I have a week to raise 230 Pounds for Charity (a Cancer Charity and a Dementia Charity). Anything I don't get in Sponsors, I have to give them myself, something I cannot afford to do at the moment considering I've been looking for a job for over 4 months now. Anyway. This is my Just Giving page, and literally any amount, whether it be 50p or 50 Pounds would be MASSIVELY appreciated. Link -- 3 days in to the 5 days of being back home and I'm so incredibly bored already. I can't fathom how I ever managed to live here. It's so horrifyingly...rural. 2 days until I'm back in good old Sheffield.

O2 Broadband. Just got this for the new house, it's fantastic. Great speeds, brilliant price. 10 Pounds for unlimited downloads and 10mb connection. They also offer free line rental if you've been paying BT for more than a year at the same address....as far am I'm aware.

This actually looks promising. It's only Produced by M. Night Shyamalan, not Directed, so there's a a good chance it won't turn out as abysmal as his recent offerings.

Simon Curtis I actually love. The album is completely free to download. Supposedly got downloaded 80,000 times in the first week which seems like a huge amount for what I figure to be a relatively unknown artist? He seems scarily good at creating a catchy pop hook.

"Get a fucking horse myself"? I've seen both The Hours and John Malk, so your idea of me supposedly being "scared" of non-mainstream things is utter bull. Literally completely and utterly the wrong impression of me. I was merely pointing out how above your station you sounded with your post. This is a film review thread, so people review films they've seen and either enjoyed or didn't. It's not a 'Pick a film Chairdriver would approve of and rate it' thread. And what? Just because I tell you I feel you're being a little rude automatically means I hate all things out of the norm, and beyond ordinary? Just don't. Please explain why you feel there are any grounds for you telling me I'm threatened by non-mainstream things, because it's complete bullshit. I'm genuinely laughing at the fact you think all I watch is things like Titanic and Twilight considering I've reviewed a massive range of films in this thread. From random independent ones, to Hsm3. So give me a break. And for the record, I really enjoy Titanic. However, Avatar is beyond me.

Had the most amazing birthday night out yesterday evening. Ended up going to Dempsy's in Sheffield, a place I absolutely love, and didn't leave until around 5am. Fun? Yes. Did it get better? Obviously. I was dancing and happened to turn round and the exact moment one of my housemates and another close friend of mine, who comes across (and to an extent actually is) as the most innocent girl you could ever meet, getting utterly down and dirty. Seeing two women getting off in a gay club? Yawn. Seeing those two? AMAZING. No one said anything in the morning. We then got in a taxi to the train station, and I turned to Annabel and said "...You're a dark horse, aren't you?". Her expression was like "I knew you wouldn't let me get away with it, Josh. Bitch". I adore the fact that she's just now going through the vaguely curious stage most people go through at about 14. It's beyond cute. Yay lesbians.

Thanks guys It's a always a lovely feeling getting a birthday thread. My night (well, last night) was spent at Sheffield's best gay club completely off my face, and dancing in a cage with a pole in the middle. What more could a slag want?

So excited for tonight. Now I'm all moved into my new house, I'm having Han and some others over for a big birthday night out considering it's Han's birthday today and my own tomorrow. We're also counting tonight as a celebration of the 7 (we were in Europe when it was 6, so it was impossible) months I've been seeing Chris for . It's scary how time goes so quickly. It's so scary recieving bills in my name. I want to roll into a ball and wake up 7 years of age all over again. But at the same time it's so nice actually being in a house with people I enjoy spending time with, rather than student accommodation. Happy times

I'm completely in love with Kylie's new album 'Aphrodite' (It's on Spotify now ). I expected basically nothing considering 'X' became such a total let down, one she even admitted to on several occasions. 'Get Outta My Way', 'Aphrodite', 'Cupid Boy' and 'All The Lovers' are standouts for me. But it's great to see her back making decent pop music. -- Cannot get Fire with Fire by the Scissor Sisters out my head. How I didn't catch onto it before is beyond me. So excited to give the rest of the album a proper listen.

Predators I liked, but also didn't. I can't put my finger on why though. Some parts interested me and had me fixed on the screen, whilst other parts just bored me. Definitely more interesting than not, but still not what I expected. 5 Twilight: Eclipse I actually enjoyed this. Though, I laughed at bits that were obviously not meant to be laughed at. Such as the sheer obviousness of parts of the story, and how they made it clear from about 20 minutes in what was going to happen at the climax. The whole "tribal story" bullshit, I actually wanted to cry it was that painfully obvious they were going to trying to push this onto the viewer so the ending appeared 'symbolic'. Anyway. Apart from more dreadful acting on Stewart's part, I did genuinely enjoy watching the film. The final half an hour finally delivered some action, and the constant shirtless-ness of Taylor Lautner just added to the enjoyment. An improvement.

Probably shouldn't be in here, but I tried to attempt taking a couple of nice pictures of one of my dogs with the camera I just bought. I thought I did quite well

I cannot fathom putting into words how amazing last night was. Definitely going to be a night that stays with me for the rest of my life. Went to Plug, and did the usual drink, dance, drink, dance thing. But then there was an unexpected foam party in the car park outside, which was horrifying amounts of fun. I loved seeing people grab over-sized amounts of foam and proceed to rub it in a total strangers face. After that, we headed back and for the four of us (my boyfriend, and two closest friends at University) decided to jump in the shower to get rid of the foamy-ness. Standing in the shower, half naked, with two equally half naked straight women was one of the most surreal moments of my life. Then we just sat up sipping on moderately priced wine until about 6am, before heading to bed. On Monday I head off to Europe on a 5 day scavenger hunt. Could not be more excited. I adore the fact we have no idea where we'll be going until we get to the next destination.

I love how even when you're so obviously making a completely fabricated point, you manage to sound like you 100% believe in what you're saying. I can't decide whether you're fully aware it was a silly statement, or that you're completely deluded. You confuse me.

Miranda. I genuinely don't think I've ever laughed out loud as much as I have whilst watching this, which is totally confusing considering British attempts at sitcom-y type shows almost always result in shockingly abysmal shows. Anyway, it's hilarious. The way she so smoothly turns to the audience whilst having a conversation and says something like "...I have no idea where I'm going with this" before continuing with her obvious case of verbal diarrhea. Actually utterly genius, and I'm incredibly impatient for the second season to arrive. The best moment has to be when it cut to her being at her first school reunion, and her classmate was boasting about how much she'd achieved and the job she was currently in. When she asked Miranda what she was currently doing, she paused for a second, and uttered "...I'm...Myleene Klass". I died. Or when she wanted to get rid of her gym membership. "I...I...I WILL SHIT ALL OVER THOSE TOWELS". Amazing.- 3920 replies

Inability to buy her expensive clothes? Wait, I'm sure I read somewhere her father was pretty damn rich. Or am I going insane? -- Cannot stop listening to Kylie's new track. It's a nice slice of classy sounding pop, and beats the hell out of the 2 Hearts era.

I don't care, I think she's fantastic. Absolutely loved seeing her live. Had no idea she'd have such a commanding stage presence. Plus, over the top pop? Love. There's a great mix of this and Daft Punk's 'One More Time' too ('The Boy Who Murdered Punk')

Utterly brilliant interview with GaGa in the Times. (Well I say interview, it's not that in the conventional sense. More "a day/night with"). She comes across so warm and genuine. It's a stark comparison to how she came across in interviews when she first came out. She describes the Alejandro video as "...a celebration and an admiration of gay love – it confesses my envy of the courage and bravery they require to be together." -- Jack Johnson's new one.

To be fair, she was only spelling out the truth. That she doesn't really consider it an "acting" job and whatnot. It's a trashy popcorn movie. By firing her it just makes it look like they take it as something far more serious, which is ridiculous considering as movies...they're basically abysmal.

I completely agree. Though I get annoyed sometimes that it's such a rare thing, the fact it is only once a month makes it all the more special once it finally comes around. The atmosphere is always incredible, you can tell everyone there's been dying for the next one to come around. I could not love more. Plus, when else is it acceptable to walk in the mens toilets and have to push your way through the crowd of lesbians?
