  1. They're the "multiplayer kings" if you basically ignore online multiplayer and having a decent number of recent multiplayer games, and thus anything that might potentially make them eligible for that title.
  2. This game sounds like something I definitely need to pick up. Just playing an awful lot at the moment...
  3. Nah they do a lot. And their main business model centers around providing credit. Zelda + Switch is £330 on Very anyway so not sure where Stuwii got that from.
  4. Taken from Goafer's post in the other thread: On a separate topic: Very have notoriously bad policies/customer service. I wouldn't use them for a console you were hoping to get on release (in fact, I wouldn't use them at all).
  5. If it can't do FFXV I see no reason why it will do the VII remake. VII remake is coming out later than XV so it'll be at the very least just as graphically impressive as XV.
  6. No idea what you're trying to say there Ronnie. They're indoors and you can't see the light source (you're not going to get proper shadows if the lighting is uniformly distributed). As for outdoors: Still think it's a good idea to base so much on a couple of screenshots?
  7. He also keeps mentioning that the game has poor shadow effects. The characters in that screenshot are all stood on a lit floor. For reference to reality:
  8. Ronnie reaps what Ronnie sows.
  9. Have you actually read his posts? His argument is poor, centering around a cherry-picked screenshot. If you make poor arguments you will be called out. It's that simple. And if you do ever feel that the forum has become too 'unbearable', there's always the option to log out.
  10. Well exactly. He's cherry picked to make his argument, and with cherry picking you can just as easily topple that argument. Arguments around screenshots in his case are usually pointless affairs in which he has picked whatever unrepresentative screenshot necessary to make a point.
  11. So defensive Ronnie. Always out to defend Nintendo at every opportunity. Don't understand the complaining about the visuals of this game in relation to Mario. Did you see Mario Odyssey? The city in that looked like it was ripped from a sonic game circa 2000.
  12. Have a great birthday!
  13. I have a 48" in a living room of so-so size. I'd say 55" could work for sure.
  14. Because they only want to make it appear scarce and not actually scarce (since actual scarcity means lost sales). By making it seem scarce at the peak of its hype when it was revealed, people who might not otherwise have got on board at launch have put their preorders down. Once they've got their preorder down, they're reasonably likely to keep it. It's why there's always such an emphasis for game stores to get preorders in.
  15. I don't see that being the reason. Amazon know how many units they have allocated, because Nintendo told them. If someone cancels their order on their website then 1 unit is freed up and Amazon would immediately know this. That 1 unit would be available to buy again on the site. Most likely it would go to the next person in the order queue who wouldn't have been getting his at launch. The scarcity of the system around the announcement was real, not just on Amazon but at lots of places. Nintendo always knew the absolute maximum number of consoles they could make by launch so I don't see this as 'they found out they could just make more by that time'. But hey, it works for them, people think it's scarce and so logged their preorders in early.
  16. Maybe they won't show it because many of the features are coming in a day 1, Wii U-style patch.
  17. Both versions sold out for launch delivery on Amazon very quickly. Nintendo must have initially given very low numbers to stores to make it seem like it was the next thing in demand. They must have known the absolute maximum they could make by launch even then, accounting for high demand. Now you can easily get both versions (the colour version only on Nintendo's store, but the grey version went from sold out in many places to readily available).
  18. See goafer's post. And have a think before you reply. In the space of a couple of weeks? Nah, they limited the stock initially to create that feeling of scarcity.
  19. It's a flagrantly bullshit comparison table; using dots instead of ticks for when the Wii also has that feature (such as 'plays Wii games').
  20. Switch isn't sold out. I think probably Nintendo limited stock allocation initially to make it seem like something in demand. Now, almost mysteriously, Nintendo has the Neon unit in stock for dispatch at launch.
  21. So then everyone pays for online through added game costs, even if they have no intention of playing online.
  22. Undertale is a great game.
  23. Online play being free doesn't increase profit for the console companies though. Look at the PS4 with the paid for Plus subscription and the profit Sony makes. So long as companies stand to make more money charging for online than if they didn't charge, they will charge.
  24. lol. Smash 4.
  25. Then let me ask you a question - are servers free to run?
