Rummy, you're categorically wrong on this one. And you're in no position to teach me given you have played like garbage this game and even lowered the tone to a personal level with Flink. So no thanks. The point is, my role had already been worked out by Flink who didn't see the need to so obviously broadcast it (although he did state it more subtly). DuD then comes along next day having clearly not read Flink's comment and exclaims my role in such a way to suggest he clearly thinks he has just deduced something new. The idea of Mafia is not to do what you did - reveal everything for the sake of it. What you did was stupid. If I want to play subtle, I will. Don't try lecture me about it.

The only thing I learned is that discretion and subtlety are not part of your vocabulary.

This was worked out so plainly by Flink an age ago. Thanks for doing the dick thing and outing me properly though. All my targets have been people who at the time were pretty suspicious in my eyes. Last night I sent no target. Something happened to me which I'm not going to reveal as it would be playing right into the Mafia's hands.

Microsoft can re-implement the DRM measures though. We know what MS want to do now, I think it'd be pretty unwise to invest in a more expensive console where they consider these policies to be acceptable, only backing down if the public has a backlash. It shouldn't be like that; they should listen to the public in the first place.

Digital games have been done for ages on the 360, why can't they have been sold cheap like Steam? They can't be sold on either. That argument doesn't make sense because Steam sell games cheaper than preowned games, so if the 360 did the same it would undercut preowned games (and they would therefore be no threat). The kind of money Steam sells their games for makes them so attractive that people impulse buy them online. 360 could do the same.

The play while downloading thing will be really bad. We're talking 20GB+ here to a nation where you're lucky to have 5Mb speeds. I'd be lucky to download that in a day on my current connection, I could easily see myself outplaying the game download. The difference between this and current digital software is that you don't already have the digital software when you start downloading it. If you already have the disc, you'd be mental to rely on a friend's internet connection unless it was superchanged. Carrying a disc is hardly an inconvenience and I don't really see any victory for eliminating the need with a we're-so-not-ready-for-this alternative. Nothing. They could do all these plans anyway. The fact they haven't so far makes it seem unlikely they have any intention of doing so.

Why now though? It would take ages to download the game at a friend's house, you'd just take the disc. Why on Earth are you defending this? Do you not like being able to buy games preowned for £10 or less?

What pittance you would make from trading in digital titles would no doubt have been outweighed by the fact you're paying far more for your games in the first place. It was a terrible idea - that's why people hated it and that's why they scrapped it. Also bring able to download games on another friend's system instead of taking the disc is just ridiculous. As if you would wait however long to download a 20GB+ title on a potentially shaky internet connection rather than take along a small disk.

A mouse called Bree turned up at my campsite and said she'd join my town if I beat her at this game where you have to guess which way she'll turn her head. Needless to say I lost a few items in the process, but now she's moving in!
