Assuming you are a developer and are determined to make great original games...why would you want to release your games on the Wii U? Very much disagree on the specs - why put your games on a console that massively limits your output (next gen graphics and robust online are a no no). To put it another way, if you were selling baked beans you wouldn't want to use cheaper ingredients, put them in worse packaging and have them sold in a worse position on the shelf, would you?

Given Jonnas wants to send the votes down a different path (which conveniently never happened yesterday) despite a good chunk of players agreeing with this initial plan that just makes this lynch more credible. Vote: Shorty Would be very happy to punt Jonnas tomorrow based on both Shorty's result if he's town and his behaviour here. If Shorty is town, which Jonnas will know if he's Mafia, it would also totally explain Jonnas's sudden vote splitting to try and avoid his death the following day. Note that Jonnas's vote on me happened AFTER Shorty gave Jonnas as a RNG target. Even if Jonnas voiced concern over the plan before, his actual action of voting only came when it looked bad for him.

First day's lynch (like I said) really shows next to nothing as there is no existing vote information to go on. There was no reason to lynch anyone, the reason for Tales was even jokingly given as 'last one in, last out'. There is no difference between adding a vote and not adding a vote to a person already with votes stacked on them in a most votes system, other than I wanted the day to carry on like I said. He was dead either way; my vote made no difference. Please also don't go full blown straw man here either. Nowhere am I saying vote analysis is not important throughout the game; I'm saying your vote analysis on the first day alone is inappropriate.

That's the thing, in Serebii's mind it's all the same. He will list 'new IP' and think 'job well done Nintendo' without actually looking at the list and realising most of it doesn't compare in scale, quality or budgeting. That's why I don't buy that they're really doing both (not properly) because of this huge discrepancy. -
You're being rather highly strung this game I think, a little too tryhard in passing suspicion on. I never said this was the plan of the game, just that if you get a RNG target from a person before lynching them, and they pass town, we at the very least have a lynch target not suggested by Mafia. I never said we keep lynching like this, I think this just offers a less biased starting point. Not voting on the first lynch was pretty irrelevant as far as I'm concerned as it's a most votes system and the lynch was going to happen. I didn't want the day to end premature because we don't have any powers other than discussion, and we've clearly been given 7 days for a reason. Shorty could or could not be Mafia, I literally have no idea based on his posts, so to me voting him is as random as any other choice. Except, now people are starting to find menial reasons to justify lynches which says more, so I'd like to see who else wants to vote for me. I'd also like to ask - what are you talking about? What argument could I make exactly? On Day 1 we know nothing at all, except here we pretty much have to lynch. It is a thoughtless lynch, done for no real reason at all, and not something I could boast about not participating in.

@Serebii that list shows how sparse new big games (on the scale of Destiny/Uncharted for instance) are on Nintendo consoles. I would also say there is tons of filler garbage there, the kind of stuff you wouldn't think about unless it was in the bargain bin. So I would say it's not like they're doing both - as their new games are not on the same scale as their established franchises. Ha. You don't get fatigue with them? Pretty sure everyone does to a degree. Or did NSMBU wow everyone as much as Super Mario Bros 3 or Super Mario World? I think not. -

Meh... Look at the brave new titles that people are really enthused about. Games like Destiny; that kind of game has people captivated already because it's something new and exciting. Mario is well known and loveable but I hardly think other companies view them like you do. New games are much more important as they show your console is still relevant, not churning out the same kind of game you were generations ago. -

Why? Other than downsizing people that would be responsible for hardware production. If they make games that turn profit then they can still make them. And they can prop up less successful franchises with money made from others, which is no doubt what they do now. The only difference is that they're not haemorrhaging money by having an unsuccessful console, which means even more money to spend making games! I am only talking about the home console going by the way. -
You have a marvellous way with words that never ceases to amuse me. :p

Dude, I just explained why there is no definitive answer. This question has cropped up time and time again for that very reason. For argument's sake, it's pretty hard to deny the gamete came first. Just say that if anyone ever tries to argue with you. :p

Please explain to me why these games must be released every year unlike now when they are not released every year. Bethesda do not release a Skyrim or Fallout every year. -

I know, that argument makes literally no sense. Why does releasing your games on a different console mean your output would become the same? No you weren't. We were talking about a situation where Nintendo weren't making any console at all, and you know it. -
The man is correct. Before this game I had never employed the 'shout 'not another fucking coin'' strategy, and now I'm practically a master. :p

Unless 'mathematics' has become a synonym for an expletive then no dice, Serebii. Peddle your lies elsewhere! -

Nope, they make original games to their own specification but on existing home console platforms. No proof that would happen. That's pretty sad actually. You'd quit gaming because of one game developer? Don't you like games made by other companies? -
Well, it's not that simple. Who made that mutated sperm? :p. Teh proto chicken. I don't disagree with you in some respects as you could argue that those gametes form the next chicken. And yet, they alone are not the egg and some would consider their own sperm when still in their body to be part of them.
-
Well, to be technical, a mutation in a proto-chicken gamete (sperm or egg) led to a fertilised egg of a different species. So you could say the sperm came before the egg. :p (Or maybe, to add to confusion, an egg came before an egg). Which was technically still part of the ancestral/proto chicken.
-
Technically it was more likely to be a mutation in (part of) the proto-chicken. :p

Nobody wanting third party multiformats will go to Nintendo, ergo third party games will not be made on it. They need innovative new games or technology to carry their product like the Wii did, but they're by no means guaranteed and you can't base your business on those. It needs to happen, really. Imagine awesome Nintendo games on modern consoles with a great online infrastructure and no gimmicks. Fuck yes. -

And this is why Nintendo really need to go home console third party. They're done. -
Key differences: everyone has a phone (not everyone has a gaming capable PC), and PC gaming was always in competition with the more successful games consoles. If you're catching a few minutes on the train or between activities then it's easy to get your phone out and play a game. I would argue it's illogical (ugh) to assume that the phone market could crash when all available information and trends suggest otherwise.
-
They also make tons of money through adverts, you know. They'll never be restricted to the extent that they won't be cash cows, else that source of revenue would totally dry up and would be a totally stupid thing to do to businesses. It's also people's choice if they want to pay for in-app content (yes children need to not be strongly targeted by it, but ultimately parental controls exist).
-
I know, pretty ridiculous thing to come out with. People suddenly aren't going to want to play games on their mobiles and tablets? No.
-
Yeah you can stop with the trying to force suspicion thing. Why end the day now? Discussion is our only tool and we've been given 7 days, seems silly to end it premature.
