Yeah, people say it about everything. I have heard people say that about Smash too, that it was great to go to 3DS first and whatnot. If they don't make the Wii U the flagship console for enough of their series then it's no wonder the console isn't doing as well as it could be.

I must have bought 40-50+ the last time. After we finally finished the hard raid last time, I was left with 1. Next time I will fill out an entire inventory of one of my characters with heavy ammo!

What time does your raid start? I'll probably be on from 8PM onwards, or thereabouts. Looks like Xur is selling shit again this week (Dragon's Breath). No heavy rocket ammo! Out of order really, given they've acknowledged the heavy ammo bug the least they could do is have Xur stock it until it's fixed.

The great thing about this is that you just get better and better as you continuously level up. As rogue-likes go, this is definitely one of the easier ones.

You're behaving as bad as Serebii here by interpreting language so literally. He's not giving you a certified 'guarantee' that the console is coming out in 2016, he's being hyperbolic. I mean, you don't dial 999 when somebody mentions they're dying to use the toilet, do you? Just live and let live, stop jumping on people over trivial shit like this.

I agree on that; guys can install Tapatalk purely for notifications or new posts in the topic, so you'll be alerted whenever something happens. Keeps the talk here and you still get notified. I also like the large number of clanmates we've got in this. Perhaps @Jimbob can make more of us administrators or whatever?

In fairness, I always used to do this and have only started mentioning the same list of people for hard this time as we all agreed a repeat run on voice chat, which was in no small part due to the fact we spent a while working out a tactic and becoming familiar with it. I'm sure others will agree with this as well; sometimes when you're 1 guy down, if it's approaching the reset then it's a case of 4 or 5 people do it or nobody does it before the reset. In those cases I reckon it's a good idea to just grab someone off Destiny LFG.

I need to do a nightfall and weekly on one of my characters, can I sign up to that now? I'll likely be on for a lot of the evening, probably quarter to 8 onwards.

That sounds like a plan. Normal mode can be done in half an hour, so we can just do that before hard on a Sunday (while you guys do one on Friday too). Let's say we do the normal at 3:30PM on Sunday, followed by the hard mode. That gives us a bit more time to complete hard before people go off to make evening meals and whatnot. Sweeeet. So it looks like there's maybe one normal raid and one hard mode going at the moment. The normal to let our lower level alts get gear. Shall we say we'll do the normal on Friday 8:30PM and the hard on Sunday at 4PM? So far I'll put you all down, please say if you can't make that time (maybe suggest another). I thought we said yesterday we'd be more up for doing normals on our other characters this week? Partly due to exhaustion :p ...but also particularly since Eddage has just started rocking a Titan, and needed the gear (to which I said I needed a gear piece for my Titan too). Aside from headgear, gear drops more on normal, right? Since there are no hard weapons in the mix. We could do hard runs up until Crota, though. I'd be up for doing a full hard run at the weekend on my warlock, who will definitely be L32 by then!

And that's exactly the point I made. It's not even an achievement, or really even indicative of anything, because the people left supporting the Wii U are the ones likely to buy lots of Nintendo games, because they're core fans. And yet, it's not doing as well as it should; a lot of people with the console still aren't buying some of the top games, even though there's barely anything else to buy. I distinctly remember seeing articles about SM3DW having very low attach rates. Ultimately it doesn't matter if the Wii had a better ratio than some other consoles, because it'll still inevitably have had the people I mentioned (only buying it for Wii sports and perhaps a few other games) to bring that ratio down, by balancing out the fans who bought lots of games on it. The Wii U doesn't draw the same diverse crowd to bring the ratio down, yet there's still undeniably quite a low attach rate for some of its big hitter games.

I wouldn't say that's really an achievement as a lot of casuals just bought a Wii for Wii sports, or perhaps only 1 or 2 other games too. Wii U has a much higher proportion of dedicated Nintendo fans...who still aren't buying that many games for it.

If they're going to release their console at a similar price to the competition like they did with the Wii U then there's really no reason why they shouldn't or even can't be offering a similar hardware package. They have precedent for competing on hardware (in terms of performance) - the N64 was superior to the PS1, and the gamecube performed better than the PS2. The reason they've been making garbage since the Wii is probably because the Wii's gimmick made them change their outlook. They thought a gimmick was what would sell their console and they surely know they were wrong about that now, this time round. Sure, it's still somewhat unlikely Nintendo will compete in this sense as this is Nintendo and they do silly things. But there's definitely a chance for them to go back to doing at least some of what they used to do. But they're not going to pack up their home console - you'll still be able to play their games on your TV some way or other, using their hardware.

They're not going to do that though, even though it's the best thing they could do. Seeing as they are going to carry on I meant that they need to compete on specs and online. It's just not good value for money when they launch a console at £300 with last gen specs, while the PS4 was £350. Even if they can win some third parties over, their console can't even run games like the next Witcher. And if was made to run on it, it would look worse, and nobody would buy it. No matter how much they try to get third parties on side, it's a losing battle if their console is not up to scratch.
