  1. Then skip to the end - you'll see it say "Recommended", "Essential" or "Avoid" (or nothing). You can gauge roughly what they think without all the drama bullshit that scoring inevitably brings for the small minded. Not seeing the blurb about 'recommended' at the top of this topic kinda hits home that some people don't spend any real time reading and just want a number, which I'm really glad they're moving away from.
  2. Why do you need a score? If a game is heavily praised in the text then you will get that information from reading it. All scores do is provide morons with fuel for their arguments. ERMERGERD this game reads like an 8! The problem with the scores also is that numbers can be compared, when really very different games shouldn't be so directly comparable.
  3. There's some real irony here - people moaning about the people moaning, and not adding them to their ignore list!
  4. I know just the feeling. The dogs were so happy the other day.
  5. Yeah got my text at 11:41 saying it's coming tomorrow... Might as well pay £5 to get it to be delivered on Saturday. It's quite a drive away to the nearest DPD depot and they shut at 6, and I don't know of any neighbours that are in during the day. Doesn't matter much though, doubt I'll find too much time to play it before Saturday anyway.
  6. Touch the lucky Tortus, and it'll come.
  7. As long as it stops people going "So this game got 8 but this one got 7?!" bullshit then all is good.
  8. Now I can find out quite specifically the time at which I won't be in that the guy will try deliver! Honestly, I fucking hate when they don't use Royal Mail.
  9. It's great; every site should just drop review scores. Review scores are the reserve of fanboys and hate mongers. Good riddance!
  10. @Serebii, still believe it's a solid fanbase? I know you go quiet in times like these!
  11. I'm in for the raid.
  12. Comparing games to films? Why? They're completely different. Why not compare an online game to an offline game instead? If you ever play Smash with a friend locally, wouldn't you comment if your friend killed you in a skilful way? Or if you were pipped to the finish in Mario Kart?
  13. Looking like 8:15/8:30ish like Zell for me now.
  14. I'ma stop talking to you now (no offence). I just haven't the energy to read everything you keep typing on this. :p
  15. Ok then, let's say 8PM for Zell. Tut, Dan flaking again!
  16. Maybe you should go back and look at Ramar's post, and the 5 people who thanked it because they undetstood the message (and the humour) off the bat? Or you know, don't. It's not really a big deal and we've killed the joke by you not really getting it.
  17. Considering you clearly still don't understand it, yeah, you're slow on the uptake. :p (Ironically, slow on the uptake of me implying you're 'slow' on the uptake, too).
  18. I agree here, I didn't particularly think this game was amazing. It basically felt pretty expensive for what it was, and I was definitely losing interest as it went along. It was the kind of game that I had hoped would be as cool as the first, but was somewhat disappointed with it. Climbing the stairs to that boss... I remember that too. That was so god damn boring.
  19. Sheikah @Shorty @ReZourceman @Eddage @Deathjam @Dan Dare Raid @ 7:15PM tonight, hard Crota. Shorty can you check with Dan that he is available? Last time Dan signed up for a space when I organised he never turned up.
  20. You're going off on a tangent here. You said you didn't understand why your sarcastic musing backfired (nearly everyone else here made the link automatically, but not everyone is quick on the uptake), so I told you why. Online versus local multiplayer is another debate entirely.
  21. Because the crux of your joke/sarcasm hinged on the idea that people here were too obsessed with being able to talk to the people they played online with. Once you liken voice chat to talking to people next to you when playing locally (ie. in games of the past) then you gain understanding, and what originally may have seemed absurd no longer is.
  22. Obviously you were being sarcastic, but at the same time there was a clear point to your post (as there almost always is with sarcasm). It seemed very much like you were over-exaggerating to highlight that you thought people here have an unhealthy obsession with voice chat - joking that before voice chat, to us all games must have been crap. Of course, your joke comment backfired because Ramar basically substituted voice chat in your example of games of the past with chatting to people who were playing games with you locally. In short, voice chat is there because just like when you played multiplayer locally in the past, you generally want to chat to the people you're playing with.
  23. Monday 7:15PM Crota Hard Sheikah Shorty @ReZourceman [space] [space] [space] @Zell @Daft @MilaGi @Eddage @Deathjam @Map @Dan_Dare @lostmario @Blade and anyone else with a good arsenal to take this on.
  24. Hawkmoon? You can stop playing now then. :p
  25. Monday - let's say 7:15PM? I am working from home that day so can start earlier. I'll be a hunter. Willing to be swordbearer if needed, though it might take some time to get to grips with it. So that's why it's probably good to start earlier!
