  1. I'll have to update my thoughts after I scour the Wasteland more, but based on what I just told you I've had some really rather fun experiences in the Wasteland so far. Legendary enemies also make the less interesting locations a heck of a lot more fun for me, too. It makes me actually pay attention to the environment more, as I try to distance myself from the glowing ones, for instance. At one point I vaulted on top of a bunch of caravans to stop the fucker from reaching me. There's also a number of quests that do pop up just scouring the Wasteland itself (e.g. via radio signals/reading notes); I'd count those as part of just exploring the Wasteland.
  2. Nope.
  3. Telling you to go to Megaton at the beginning of Fallout 3 is really not much different to telling you to go to Diamond City in this game. Just scouring the Wasteland a lot might not be the best of ideas. It's best to strike a balance between story quests and exploration/non story objectives, like in quite a lot of RPGs. Also remember that a number of quests you embark on can involve visiting places you might have been to already in the wasteland, so you'll probably end up backtracking. Going there as part of a quest often supplies the story to go with the place and makes it more interesting. For example, the quest with the guy from the radio. The way I've been playing I've had pretty varied locations, quests and enemy types. I've gone through vaults, a smelting works, a military base, a high school, a shop, a library and underground bunkers. Although raiders are more common than anything else, I've still encountered quite a lot of other enemies, and I really enjoy reading the logs associated with each place. I actually prefer this to any other Fallout game so far - it's just such a massive improvement. They've really nailed a lot of the gameplay issues I had with the previous games and the weapon/armour upgrade system is really well done. One of the best things for me is the legendary loot - now there is a real reason to get excited from some enemy encounters. Difficult enemies that actually require you to use a lot of the powerful weapons and explosives you accumulate! I could sink so many hours into this game, but so little time...
  4. To @Deathjam, @Zell, @MilaGi and anyone else I mentioned this to the other day... Around 1:50 is where he properly kicks off.
  5. Definitely hard mode; hard mode renders normal mode a bit pointless really. You do need to be around light 308 or up really to take on Oryx (but you will hopefully get loot along the way). Will aim for half 7; worse case scenario would be closer to 8. Shouldn't come to that though!
  6. I'd be up for raiding tomorrow @MilaGi.
  7. QFT. Honestly no idea why some of you guys sunk £40 on this game only to completely ruin it for yourselves. This sounds like the kind of thing you might do on a second playthrough for laughs, but not the first.
  8. Ah man. Just left work. Probably will be after 9 when I am on. Sorry guys! Please go ahead and trials/replace me tonight.
  9. I'm still at work and this sucks. Sorry guys, doesn't look like I will make 8. Maybe half 8...I understand if you don't wanna wait though. I'm up for a reschedule if people want to trials tonight. @Shorty @Zell @MilaGi @Deathjam @DriftKaiser
  10. I take it you like @Rummy?
  11. Play iron banner for Nirwen's Mercy. Looks like it's not being gimped and it's really great anyway.
  12. @Shorty @Zell @MilaGi @Deathjam @DriftKaiser You all up for between 7:30 and 8PM tonight to beat Oryx? Let me know if you can still make it.
  13. I also think this should stay as a SRPG rather than an RPG. The whole "it's Advance Wars but 3D" thing was what made this game special, and really why everyone was excited for a sequel in the first place. Who knows whether as a normal RPG this will even work. That said, if it was like SRPG battles but with an RPG story/exploration, that'd be so sweet.
  14. Isn't cloning items ruining the game for you guys? Not much point scavenging for stuff to sell or use if you can clone it. A heads up to anyone who hasn't visited Vault 81 yet (recommended reading)
  15. @Shorty @Zell @MilaGi @Deathjam @DriftKaiser Just a reminder about the raid today at 8PM. Cheers.
  16. Oh, awesome. I'd pick up the new game for sure.
  17. Not true. This was always just a rumour and it got debunked.
  18. Yeah and the Master Sword, some spoilerific shit there.
  19. Just think man, in a year we'll have it and probably with DLC packs too. I can wait.
  20. Cheers man. Can't believe we went there twice on two tickets yesterday. I really enjoyed the level by the end of it, such a fun level to snipe on. I got the auto rifle at 317 and the pulse rifle at 312. The pulse rifle seems pretty decent - has hidden hand, stability perks, similar loadout to Nirwen's (although no fast reload/third eye). Not sure it will be better than Nirwen's but still good all the same.
  21. Hard mode raid this Wednesday, 8PM Any takers? I know some people can never do Tuesdays so thought Wednesday for a change. Sheikah [space] [space] [space] [space] [space]
  22. The only reason the price stays the same is because Nintendo says so. It's not bizarre. If people don't lay down £40 in the first month or so for a game then they're probably not going to pay that 6 months later. They'll make more money by dropping the price sooner and getting a lot more sales.
  23. Can't tell if that was sarcasm but you're actually incredibly right. Immensely successful, but essentially fucked Nintendo's image and direction up completely (thus, future business).
  24. Even though it wasn't my favourite, I'm interested in playing this again. I certainly liked it more than Skyward Sword, but that's not saying too much.
  25. Ohhh, thanks. This explains why I was carrying some mods around.
