  1. Willies! (i got nothing. except willies)
  2. I enjoyed this. Think the best bit was Falco's line.
  3. Sorry I ended up leaving halfway through guys, can anyone give me a quick sumup of things, who won?
  4. Just babies.

  6. Director's is ok, I don't tend to go for it, but I don't really know why. Tbh I don't really drink many ales anymore due to it being a more expensive option(when by the bottle), tends to be when I go out with the nurses(not the stereotype, these are guys) from the ward I work most at. One of my favourite bottle Ales for it's...difference, I guess, is Badger's Golden Glory. It's beer in your mouth, but floral and peachy on the aftertaste! Makes me think of summer, for some reason.
  7. Why do carbonated beverages make it worse? Just a random thing, and I'm not sure what there is for it empirically, but I think I saw a documentary on bbc3 recently with that fit irish lass from blue peter, and basically she came to the conclusion that 'diet' products due to replacing a lot of the stuff the body likes, leads to people actually getting fatter. Admittedly she stuck a 'diet' only diet, but apparently because your body doesn't get what it's expecting, you still eat/overcompensate to future proof, or something. But tbh I don't think that'll apply to diet cokes down the pub.
  8. What broke down with it?
  9. Ahhhh, all top brews! For me? Beer? Shiiiet, it's about a lot! At the age of...uh...young, when I started drinking, I hated the stuff and swore off it. At some point I started drinking it, and liking it. Beer has a strange edge to it, it's basically bitter sweet, bitter with the sweet aftertaste, I like that. The other thing about beer? I feel like it's a taste you get from nothing else. Honestly, I can't really approximate anything to beer, other than beer. Of course, I speak of beer so generally, but that's another beauty of it...it's such a massive topic in itself! Lagers, Ales, Bitters, White Beers, all sorts of beers I don't even know about!! I love it!! My lager of choice used to be carlsberg export, now Kronenburg cos I've got used to it due to being cheap from the offy over the road. When I'm out in my usual spoony haunts, bottles of Efes or sometimes a Newcastle Brown, if not a(usually crappy) ale off the pumps. I'll have the occasional Guinness, too. I'll have the occasional anything beer-related, really! Beer is such a huge subject, and such a massive part of britain I guess. I enjoy a good ale, and it's always nice to find someone else who does too.
  10. Totally thought this was a birthday thread. Also screw you guys, I had no pancakes on tuesday! Instead I had lots of pizza. Twas nice.
  11. I'm finding that rather many bits of this seem to vaguely remind me of Yoshi's island. Any similarities between teams?
  12. I get a feeling there's a few that would spring to my mind, I mean...well, a lot of games actually do have a nice amount of humour in them, we probably just don't notice it much. For massively, constantly humorous games, I think I might have to second the way the Mario RPGs do the things they do, top class stuff. For some reason another title to spring to mind was Ninjatown, though that isn't exactly hilarious so I don't know why.
  13. I came just to post the realisation that Okapipako is a palindrome and my shock and lack or realising it before, and further expression of amazement at just how much you think about these things. EDIT: Thouuuuuugh...I realise it took inspiration from another pokemon/is evolution based off of it, and it has the same ol' trickery, so I take back a little of my praise.
  14. I've only just played the first title on the Wii, I do like it, and how...somehow, I don't get terribly bored despite the repetativeness. I do dislike flick jumping though, and find the controls/camera a bit awkward at times. I am going to hold out for this to fall sub £20/15 on the 360 I think, and probably purchase it then. I always had in my mind before playing the original that it'd use lots more motion control.
  15. So I did end up splitting for this, and as a result am reluctant to play it alone. It seems nice and fun so far though! Maybe I'll take it for some single player just to see if I appreciate it a bit more.
  16. Admittedly, no. I think maybe my problem might be...not a dislike of single player, but more drawn to multi with friends. I just don't feel there's time for me to sit down and play a lot of single player(and the amount of uncompleted games I have, I do mean a lot), whereas playing with other people kinda...forces you to? It's hard to explain. Hard to do now too, as I can't get my router to work for my 360 anymore
  17. I had to look him up! So I'd say no :( I only know that song which was a cover of something for the bouncy ball advert, why do you ask?

  18. Simple but interesting, I like it. Personally, I'm with Jay and Wes; Just Drink.
  19. I'll be the first to admit, I've only just started driving really, and I am a terrible driver(when my car actually works and moves enough for me to be a driver, that is). However, I do think insurance is daylight robbery. There's apparently another factor playing into it, which is apparently a lot of young reckless people are driving without insurance, and because of these people who drive without insurance, the general price of insurance must increase. This strikes me as a vicious circle though, because when you can't afford the insurance because it is too much, you might just make the decision to drive without it, possibly having accidents and pushing it all up further. This is gender-neutral, as well, as I don't know the stats.
  20. As long as my insurance goes down, I don't give a crap about anyone else.
  21. What would keep me playing Wii? Nothing, it seems, as I don't. Why? Cos I play my 360 more(when I do play). Why? Cos it looks prettier? No. Cheap back catalogue, more accessible, wider range of games and for when I was a lot recently...much better multiplayer due to online capabilities. I feel like Halo and Live was definitely for my money just for what I got out of that game, what used to keep me playing the Wii the most? Brawl. I killed it to death with my friends, multiplayer I think is the biggest thing I need in games to keep me going. I feel like single player in a lot of stuff recently just doesn't hold me like it does a child who gets like 2/3 games a year, and has nothing else to do with one's free time.
  22. Anyone know what the two player is like? I think I'm gonna be splitting for this with Marcamillian, as we both kinda want it but not sure if we want it, so I'd like to get a nice bit of co-op-ery out of it.
  23. Breaking you in for when you hit the big time. Personally, I just love seeing your art, the mental end of that pokemon makes me smile.
  24. Generally, who's the better brand? I'm looking about £250 for a 32" Toshiba, or for a 32" Samsung, wondering if there's a generally superior brand(inc possible faults and customer service). We have a 40" Toshiba already, and I find it pretty decent, but I get this feeling inside that Samsung are kinda 'better' for TVs. The Samsung is refurbished with 12month warranty, whereas the Toshiba is brand new, so if Samsung aren't massively superior, I'd probs get the Toshiba. SAMSUNG LE32C450E1W or SAMSUNG LE32C530F1W Or Toshiba 32BV500B 32 Inch HD Ready Digital LCD TV Tho I might get the full HD one for £30 more; Toshiba 32BV700B 32 Inch Full HD 1080p Digital LCD TV.
