    Guys guys!

Steam sent me an e-mail that..

    Fallout 76 is available!

    WHOO!@

Oh well, I guess I should buy and play this then.

Apparently the latest update that reintroduces NPCs is quite alright, so it may actually be fun to play by now.

Thinking about starting a Terraria server if anyone is interested in joining me? Give us all something else to do. @Rummy you ran the last one didn't you? Who else was on there with us that might be interested?

I wasn't there last time but Terraria is great and I wouldn't mind jumping back into it. I haven't played it in years. How does it work in a private server? All together in one map or something?

From what I see there is also a new update inbound on May 16.

Some of the entry fees on that site is kinda dumb. One requires 3x99k before selling. Not only can you not arrive with a full inventory of turnips(two slots has to be reserved for money bags) but he can boot you of the island after you dumped the money and before you sell.

Having entry fees is just the beginning. How about Animal Crossing Players Are Now Hiring Turnip Bouncers? It's both extremely funny but also sad that this is happening. Very creative though.

  3. Some colleagues of my girlfriend where going on about Tiger King, so we decided to watch the first episode on Friday. With not much to do this Easter weekend we ended up watching the whole thing (except for the new episode 8). Yeah what a ride. The fact that these people are in existence is just baffling. I couldn't help but feeling sympathy for Joe, what a guy. No doubt he did bad things but this being America I think this is just the tip of the iceberg regarding animal abuse. Not just for big cats but for all animals in general.

Carole is just wrong, she looks like the kind of woman who will do whatever it takes to get what she wants. And then there's the endless list of side characters. That ragtag crew of Joe, goddamn. You just can't make that up.

  4. I also don't have a lot of extra time due to lockdown. I still can work 8 hours a day but from home, and my commuting time now usually goes towards house chores. I thought about making a level but couldn't come up with a good idea. Hopefully next time! But during the Easter weekend I did have some extra gaming time since we couldn't visit family or something.

So yesterday I gave all 3 levels a go. Started with the one from @darksnowman. I love how you went mad with all the audio and visual cues haha. The level itself was alright, not too difficult but there also wasn't anything that stood out for me (except for the audio cues).

@RedShell's level was good. Nice to see a 3D World level. Using the jumpy mouse was fun as I haven't seen him often yet. The downhill speed bit was slightly infuriating, but I managed to get through it. But Luigi just kept wall-sliding which slowed him down so it's a matter of not doing that. :p

I was hoping Link would pop up sometime in a level (I was hoping someone would pick him as the theme), but here he is in @Sméagol's level. I saw his preview on Twitter and I knew, this is going to be hell. I've tried it a couple of times but this is going to take some perseverance and I gave up after 15 minutes because me and the misses were going to watch Tiger King. I doubt if I will have the stomach to finish it but I'll give it a couple more tries today.

So no winner yet, but this challenge does confirm that I don't like autoscroll levels. They are always my least favourite ones in Mario games, and I didn't feel it here either. They're just so slow, and when you die you can't rush through the bit you already know but you have to abide the scroll speed.

  5. I've put my first 77 minutes in today. They were a good 77 minutes. The soundtrack is amazing. It's a bit easier than Hollow Knight, and it's also a bit more obvious where you need to go.

Ori is a bit more floaty in jumping compared to Hollow Knight, so that takes some getting used to. Anyway, off to a good start!

  6. Stock is severely limited here in the Netherlands and as such prices have gone up here as well, around €90. Amazon now has it for €80 with delivery around the 24th. I was thinking of getting this for my birthday but I wonder if it will be restocked properly before the beginning of May.

  7. There's also a shocking lack of normal furniture in this game. I have hardly any normal tables or platforms to put stuff on. Just feels silly to put my toaster and knife block on the floor of the kitchen... Can't wait for Nook's Cranny to expand so I can get a bit more to choose from!

  8. Nice setup! I don't know the monitor brand but looks good. At first I thought your fan was the PC and I thought well now that is an interesting case... 2060 Super is a nice upgrade coming from a 980 as well.

As with keyboards, I'm also not convinced that the price of a mechanical keyboard is worth it, but I'm not a fan of the chiclet laptop-type keys. I got this Cooler Master set some years ago, cost me about €30 and I still haven't felt the need to upgrade from it:

  9. I want to move my shop one tile to the right. Am I correct in thinking I need to pay Tom Nook twice to do that? When I try it now it says there is another building in the way (yeah it's the shop I want to move). So I'm starting to think I first need to move it somewhere else and then put it back to the same place except for one tile to the right.

  10. 30 Hours in and the credits have rolled. I honestly wasn't expecting it so fast, as I wasn't really working towards increasing my star rating but Sunday Isabelle gave me the 3-star and KK was on the way. Today Mabel's shop will be finished so that's good.

I think my next goal will be to lay down some roads, pay off another debt of my house (I'm only on the 348000 one so have quite a way to go) and work towards some more slopes and bridges for easy accessibility. Also have plans for some parks, picnic areas etc to make the place a bit more structured. I don't think I want to go all out with the terraforming, as I like the natural layout of the island and I know that once I start with it, I will be on it forever and never be content.

Oh and finally found a bamboo island! So now I can complete my Japanese garden.
