I started playing this game yesterday. Nearly spent 10 hours playing it so far. It's the first fire emblem I've played. I started on normal mode/casual mode but restarted on classic after playing for the first 5 hours. Feels much more tactical on classic now that I have to think about what I'm doing. It's a nice change from what I'm used to playing disgaea where you can make one overpowered unit to plough the battlefield. Keeping it on hard/classic for now to see how it goes.

@S.C.G I was playing the snes games on switchon friday, was playing StarFox for the first time since 1999 when I still had a snes. Will probably be hunting online tomorrow night or early next week as I have a long download time right now about 27 hours.

Is this a good game to start the Fire Emblem series with? I only played Fire Emblem Warriors before.

Would be amusing if it did have a PC release as the one i'm typing on right now I built because of the pending release all them years ago. My main game on it has been FFXIV in al the years PSO" had been delayed. I would rather they keep it on one platform for the western release though so it doesnt seperate the playerbase like PSU did when it launched. The PC release of PSU didnt last as long as the xbox 360 version did and players had to restart on there to keep playing.

I was getting bored waiting to see Halo on the E3 presentation and opened another tab on my browser... Then I heard something familiar playing in background... Switched back to E3 stream on Twitch... PSO 2! Played this in alpha version during the last days Phantasy Star Universe running and been waiting for it ever since to get a release. Can't wait to play this on the official release next spring, FFXIV will keep me busy with its Shadowbringers expansion till then thats out in a few weeks.

I've been away from Monster Hunter World for a few months but I am very much looking forward to hunting the new monsters in Iceborne. Still have the game installed on my PS4 so if anyone wants to do some hunts online I'm up for it sometime. The last time I played it was when Behemoth EX was released so there's a lot of arch tempered hunts I've still not done yet. My PSN is Dizzy_Moogle

Just sent my nominations from that list, not sure if it was too late. -
Had a look at that duolingo website tonight after seeing this topic. Started doing the japanese course, had a go at learning to read the language with a game on steam last summer called learn to survive japanese hirigana battle. My profile is called GadwinDight on duolingo. Working my way through hirigana 2 so far.

I always got lost in the Labyrinth level in that game. Never found the exit always ended up resetting my console after getting bored navigating that level. Lost so many lives to that infamous jump in the sea level too before discovering I could change to that jumping ninjistu.

My Switch had connection error while I was waiting to do system update earlier. Is a few minutes away from finishing now.

The Nintendo Gamecube was my most played console of that generation. I was 17 at the time working part-time getting ready to start studying IT at college later that year and had the gamecube pre-ordered for launch day and got Rogue Squadron 2 with it. Rogue Squadron 2 was one of them games kind of like today with achievements except you got medals based on your performance. I think I managed to get silver/gold on most of the missions. It was a very replayable game for me except for those rare moments when a stray tie fighter would decide to kamakaze you ruining your score. Some of my favourite games early on I played mostly in singleplayer as my brother was more into pc gaming at the time. Games I spent a lot of time on were: Super Smash Bros Melee This game was a fun sequel to Smash Bros, didn't play this one as much in multiplayer but it had lots of unlockables. Mario Golf Toadstool Tour The sequel to the N64 game I played a ton getting all the birdie badges for a challenge in N64 magazine. This was a game I spent a lot of time playing when I was moving country in 2004 and not having internet for well over a year. Ikaruga My first shmup on a modern console since Fire Shark on the Sega Megadrive. This game was hard but one of them rare difficult gaming experiences where I didn't get frustrated for dieing but wanted to keep playing. The training mode was fun to practice on with being able to slowdown the game and watch demonstrations of sections of the game. A missing feature I would have liked to have seen in its Steam release. Soul Calibur 2 So many modes for singleplayer content... rarely played this in multiplayer but the wealth of things to do kept me playing this a long time. Crusin' World USA This simple racing game had things to unlock for completing races. One thing I enjoy in gaming is unlocking things and after a TON of racing I finally had gained enough EXP to unlock the Speed Demon car by the end of my time playing this game. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles This was a game I played purely singleplayer back in the day, my favourite thing about this game was the moogles. Was funny when your moogle companion would get cranky if you didn't take your turn holding the Chalice "It's your turn now, kupo!". Resident Evil 4: My second resident evil game, originally played resident evil 2 on the PS1. Played through this game many times and spent many nights when not playing it talking about it with friends in the visual lobby which brings me to my most played game on the Gamecube. In the early days of the gamecube online gaming was just beginning for the generation of console gamers and I played a lot of single player games that was until the game I was very hyped for was released. Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 This game is what started almost half a lifetime spent playing games online. To this day my adventures on PSO still continue online through the creation of private servers. It was a game where the community in the game gave me so many amusing memories and met a friend called Sam who I have played online games with for over a decade. It had a level cap that was so long to reach you could still be hunting for rare gear before you reach it. With 2000+ hours alone on my FOmar Sonic Beta I never reached level 200. I got him to level 186 before a file corruption but playing the game with my friends was so much fun I had several memory cards which were used to make new characters with new ID's to level together. The game had a system where different ID's based on your name would give you different loot so everyone hosting parties had potential for different gear drops.

@Glen-i I was looking at that set in the game last night. It looks like the best for what I need now, am running sharpness+2 with my current setup I'm going online once my switch gets a charge. It is just a black screen right now as I left it on till it shutdown itself playing after the hunts last night.

I made some decent progress on mh last night. Got a lv 2 obsidian longsword and some random pieces of armor maxed out as far as I can for now(They need "hyper" monster parts which im guessing is beyond high rank). Going to try farm for a full set today I seen 2 sets I like the look of. HR Tetsucabra and Astral set. I have around 350 defence with the pieces Im wearing now, has no skills unlocked though. Am HR 5 now My Switch Code is SW-1370-4016-4929 I'll be online tonight sometime after 10pm most likely.
