I never bothered preordering this. Dont know why but my excitement for it dropped off quite a bit a month or so ago. Ive no doubt its gonna be an excellent game and most likely one of my games of the year, just dont know what happened really. I'll probably get it on Thursday from town, maybe trade in some games to knock the price down a bit.
-
Is anyone actually gonna bother getting the Nightwing DLC then? While I enjoyed the Robin one I would never have paid for it as the challenge mode interests me a lot less than if we'd been able to switch to the characters in free roam like Catwoman.
-
Dont forget to go talk to Calendar Man today seeing as its Halloween.
-
Its been announced that the game will go free to play on both PS3 and PC on November 1st

Finished reading my Birds of Prey trade that arrived today. I never really cared one way or the other about this series before but I enjoyed it. I'll probably pick up some more of the trades when I get a chance.
-
I bought that Superman trade a few months ago, not a bad read but it does get pretty weird and may end up getting confusing if you don't know some of the characters.

Not enough comic chat this week! I shall try and get it started again with my thoughts on this weeks comics: Teen Titans #2 - Im not too sure about the new characters they seem to be adding to the comic for this line up but so far ive really liked Red Robin, Wonder Girl and Kid Flash. Flash #2 - Some nice stuff in this book exploring more than just Flash's running speed when it comes to the speed force, as usual its great artwork as well. Superman #2 - I thought this was a lot better than the first issue, there was less exposition which in turn helped the art seem more polished. My complaint would be that Superman still to lack any interesting personality. I know theyre wanting to take a more Kryptonian angle with him this time but I think I always found his humanity a much more interesting side to him. Plus mopey Superman is just boring. Aquaman #2 - Still one of my favourite books from the DCnU. Geoff Johns has made Aquaman interesting to read and Ivan Reiss' art as usual is brilliant. These new villians are nice and creepy as well. Green Lantern New Guardians #2 - My lack of GL interest is leaking into this book as well now. Its not even that its a bad book or story, im just finding it hard to care anymore. Incredible Hulk #1 - I was a bit confused when I started reading this book with what was happening after reading the quick prologue at the end of Fear Itself #7 but it soon started to make sense. Ive never been a massive fan of Hulk books but the reveal at the end will probably keep me interested at least until the end of the arc and then we'll go from there. It feels like it might have been more interesting to take a back to basics approach to this book but thats probably just because thats how I think of the Hulk and its been quite different over the past decade or so. Wolverine and the X-Men #1 - I was looking forward to this book as ive not really liked the militaristic take on the X-Men that weve had for a couple of years but im not entirely sold on it yet. Im completely willing to read more with an open mind but I dont really like the more futuristic take on the school and Wolverine gets so over exposed these days that id rather it was someone else heading the book to be honest. Also its only a personal thing but I dont really like Bachalos art. Ultimates #3 - It was nice to see this book tie back into the original Ultimates books with Thor but im still not really feeling it. The villians are just a bit nothing really. Also it seemed weird that a certain hero was on the helicarrier with them all. Amazing Spider-Man #672 Some very enjoyable dialogue this week between Spider-Man and.....himself. Quite a good end to the Spider Island arc but I still feel like some of these Spidey saves the day moments need to filter through into the Avengers books, he still hasnt really had one yet. Oh and I still hate this book for the reason mentioned in my previous post!

Heh, I had a similar problem after Arkham Asylum came out. I was walking through town and realised that I was checking out roof edges and noticing the best places to grapple!
-
Ok then obviously we arent getting anything done here (my fault, been obsessed with Persona 4 and Batman!) so lets just agree now on mostly wooden houses and try to get this town started. Build whatever buildings you want in the area but try and keep it so it makes sense. The /give commands work for everyone now so you just need to look up item ids to get your stuff. The spawn point should be inside the cleared out area now as well. As before, if anyone else wants to join in and help with this just let me know and i'll add you to the white list. We really could use some more builders!

Nightwing Preys on Arkham City November 1st

Just finished reading the last issue of Spider Island, I hate it:

Giant Bomb have also written an article on the 8/10: http://www.giantbomb.com/news/when-a-mostly-positive-review-becomes-controversial/3764/

Just preordered:

The game hadnt been announced, we just all assumed the game was being made. This is the announcement that GTA V is in development.

I never really know if fans think my supporting situation is ok or not (not that I care though to be fair but for the sake of the conversation. I support Liverpool but never lived there, both my parents did along with all their family so I was just brought up to support Liverpool pretty much from birth.

Been a while since I got any new trades so just ordered:

Most people are thinking LA because of all the work done with LA Noire, the city mapping done for that will make their lives a lot easier.
-
The scale of San Andreas was impressive but I didnt really like the gang style of it. Favourite was probably Vice City. Im hoping that five will have more of the fun brought back to it. Four was good but a bit dull, the dlc packs fixed that a bit which does give me hope.

The Robin DLC is only the character for the challenge maps but I like it. He does feel different to playing as Batman so it does make it interesting.
-
What overall percentage is everyone on? (The one that shows on the menu screen before you choose to continue) Currently ive got 61% done.
-
If that was the case though they'd have all the stores doing the same thing. This is just something that GameStop have done and from what I've heard theyve done similar stuff with online passes before (although I can't remember the specifics). It's pretty well know that most publishers hate the second hand market.

I was getting worried for a while there with the identity thief side mission, it had been ages since I last found a body to carry on with it but thankfully I just finished it. Just got the AR Training, Stolen Freeze Tech, Random Acts of Violence and all the Riddler stuff left to do now. I may start New Game+ before then though and just go back to my side missions when I want a distraction.
-
Exactly. Im sure if people were thinking about this back then they'd have the same problem, you cant compare something to something else that hasnt been invented yet.
-
I don't think we can really say about our own nostalgia for current things anyway as we don't know what it will be compared to in the future.
