  1. I have never actually played any Zelda game in my life but this game seems pretty cool. It looks like a mix between Jak and Daxter and Skyrim If I already had a Nintendo NX then I would definitely buy this but I think I'll just wait for the reviews of this game (and the NX) before I take the plunge. As others have already said, it does seem to have the potential to be just another open world game with a cartoony skin (and the graphics dont look overly amazing)... but I am pretty impressed by this game so far as it seems to have incorporated the fun that I associate with Nintendo... but do you know what would make it really Nintendo? Split screen. Please please please local multiplayer modes for all games!! EDIT: Oh god... what is the point of having multiple options when chatting to NPCs when it makes no difference what you say? Dont go all Fallout 4 on us Nintendo!!
  2. Fair enough :p Actually maybe I'll watch through some Lets Plays or reviews and then decide. Would you reccommend Fallout 1 or Fallout 2? EDIT: K, so I have just discovered the Wild Wasteland trait (didnt see it before as I didnt realise you could scroll down!). Is it a fun thing to have or does it break immersion? I may only end up playing this game through once and I want it to be a good one. Is Wild Wasteland worth it? Also, which other trait should I swap it with if I do go for it? Heavy Handed or Hot Blooded? (Click link here for details)
  3. What a shame Hopefully it isnt as bad as I fear once I get in game. Haha :p Yeah, I've heard good things. Its more tradintionally RPG than 3 and 4 I hear. I'm hoping for an immersive world and story more than anything. I did actually look in to that but the graphics just put me off. I dont mind older graphics I just prefer them to be a bit more cartoony, if not just a bit more colourful, than that. Also, I'm always wary of people telling me how amazing older games are as the nostalgia element tends to be a big factor more often than not. What makes the older Fallout games so good? Is 1 better or 2? This is what I was thinking for my New Vegas character, by the way: What do you guys think? I feel like I may have neglected luck because in Fallout 4 luck seems pretty terrible... is it the same in New Vegas or should I put a few points on luck?
  4. On another note; I make $9999 AN HOUR just by working from home!
  5. I am pretty much completely new to the Fallout series as I have never really played past 30 minutes of Fallout 3. Never played anything before Fallout 3 and never played New Vegas. I have been playing Fallout 4 but my boyfriend is playing that now:p So, I have, a few moments ago, bought New Vegas online and I was just wondering if you guys could help me obsess over this a bit. I was just wondering what decisions I get to make when creating my characters? I know vaugely that there is more to it than there is in Fallout 4 but I cant really seem to find anything which is very clear on it. Also, is it true that you cant join any factions? I almost didnt buy this game because, upon investigating the Legion, my excitement took a downturn when I realised they are basically just the generic bad guys (booring - I mean, at least give the Legion some good points like they could have been pro-homosexuality and womens rights while the NCR could be made out to be anti-them, for example). But i've decided to buy it anyway and I'll probably end up joining in with the Legion as I think I want to go for a mainly melee based build.
  6. I love the look of your profile! :D

  7. I've been working retail for 7 years but decided to start looking for admin/reception jobs recently. I dont have any particular hate for retail - I just need a job which pays me an actual wage for once! When I first started in retail they would give you set hours and set days with a decent contract - nowadays that basic type of job security is almost entirely unheard of.
  8. Im so sorry to hear about this! Care work sounds like an absolute nightmare. I would always choose retail of care work 100%. Maybe thats something you should consider?
  9. Hey guys I hope that nobody misunderstood my tone here. I just saw that some people on here were unaware of the way they were talking about transgendered people and I wanted to inform them of this. I didnt think that anybody was being intentionally transphobic - if I did I would have reacted very differently, thats for sure. The reason why I did this as a public thread and not seperate PMs was not to shame anybody but because, firstly, I didnt want any trans person on this forum to feel there were alone or were being maliciously discriminated against by anyone here and, secondly, because I wanted to create a thread for everyone so we can all ask questions and learn about this topic together. Having said all this, I can understand the way killthenet has responded because, being transgendered (I am assuming here), killthenet has to put up with discrimination on, what I imagine is close to, a daily basis. Or even if killthenet isn't trans, I can totally understand reactions like that anyway because you hear so much transphobic vitriol these days. its not my place to accept apologies on behalf of any transgendered person but I will say that, for me, personally, I do know that nobody here meant to be transphobic and I knew that from the outset (or, at least, I gave everyone the benefit of the doubt). So, apologies accepted. Ah, my mistake! Thats very interesting! I didnt know any language did that. I suppose its not surprising as many languages, such as Italian and Spanish, go very heavily in to gendering everything (tables etc) so I guess its to be expected that another language has gone the other way completely.
  10. Your avatar and sig are so cool!

Just wanted to say that :p

  11. How do you "Thank" people? I have been looking for the button for days now :p Maybe I dont have the relevant permissisons to be able to do that yet?
  12. And here I am sitting in the corner eating all the chalk
  13. I know I wouldnt refer to a cis-man as "she" because I know that the vast vast majority of cis-men use the pronoun "he". Maybe some kathoey somewhere will prefer "he" but that would most definitely be the exception and not the rule. I just like to call transgendered people by the pronouns that they prefer because its the respectful thing to do. Obviously sometimes I will get it wrong and I will be corrected on that by them, and thats fine. I also knew someone the same. Its quite hard to get your head around after spending all your life using "he" and "she" isnt it?
  14. I always put my phone on complete silence when I drive. I have never understood people who are obsessed with being contactable 24/7. I love nothing more than spending the day with my phone switched off.

  16. I almost bought the Wii U at the begnining of this year actually but I went for the PS4 instead as I wanted to play Fallout 4 and the next Elder Scrolls game (if they do eventually bring one out for the PS4... I expect they will). I couldnt afford a Wii U as well as a PS4 so :(

I have no idea about the "Zelda issue" as I have never actually even played Zelda in my life :p (pls dnt ban me :p). I have watched a few vids of the newest Zelda and it looks pretty cool though! Looks open world?

I like open world games the most I think. MMORPGs are great but it seems like they're running out of ideas these days tbh... they seem to all be about fighting only.

I came across this forum because I wanted to find a cool community of people to chat to. I think I searched something like "Nintendo video games forum" or something... I forget.

  17. @kav82 @Goafer @nekunando Here I am carrying on the convo: OK. So, just so everyone here knows, Taiwanese kathoey (or ‘ladyboys’) like to be referred to with female pronouns (she, her, etc). And this should be respected. Why should it be respected? Because transgendered people deserve the same kind of respect as non-transgendered (or “cis”) people receive. You, as a cis person, take being called by the correct pronoun for granted, so it may not seem like a big deal to you, but transgendered people have fought (and are fighting) for the right to be recognised as the gender that they really are. Calling a transgendered person by the incorrect pronouns is deeply disrespectful and, if done intentionally, transphobic. So, please, lets all be respectful. If anyone has any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
  18. There was a "Database Error" or something the other night (when no one was on but me)... so maybe that has something to do with it?
  19. Have you both tried ticking the "Remember me" box before you log in? It may help if you havent.
  20. I gave this show such a big chance to impress me. But season 3 and 4 were such a massive let down that I just stopped watching. The politics in the group doesn’t make any sense... it’s like a 10 year old wrote the whole "IM THE LEADER SO YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT I SAY" story line - that’s not how it works. Michonne could've been such a badass but instead she's regulated to being an untrusting mute for no reason other than we need to have someone be suspicious of the governor because he has been designated bad guy status by the infantile writing staff. Also, talking of bad guys... are we, in this day and age, really incapable of conveying who is bad and who is good without making the baddies rape women all the time? Can we PLEASE have some real moral ambiguity? Why did they have to turn Shane and The Governor in to all out bad guys? Why can’t we have a battle of ideas rather than good vs bad all the time? Ugh, this show. It could have been so good.
  21. If only the young people of today understood that the generation that came before them knows best when it comes to almost all matters! When will they learn? :p
