yeah i'm up late waiting for the Nintendo Conference to d/l to my comp 77MB takes a while it seems, didn't think it would. So while waiting i thought i'd check the statistics of the forums for yesterday (May 9th, Nintendo conference day) and (kinda expected) saw a new record was made for "Most Users Online at Once", the previous record was between 380-390 (can't remember the exact number...maybe Platty remembers he looked at it the other day and told me), which was from the day the Red Steel info/scans hit the net. The new record, thanks to Nintendos Pre-E3 Conference 2006 is *drumroll* 593 set at 7:11pm May 9th 2006:yay:

I don't know about this decision to have two versions of the game at the Wii launch, i don't see the GC version selling much (if at all), although the Wii controls do look SO good its unreal, and the sound depth thing briliant (i wonder how long till we a see a PS3 pad with a speaker). I'll be getting the Wii version at launch, which means i prolly won't get too many other games anymore on day one, i'll want to spend as much time with Z:TP as possible, prolly Red Steel, Metriod and Mario Galaxy aswell.

This is a great idea, even when turned off the Wii is still working away in order to make our gaming lives that bit better, what a wonderful little machine. This is prolly the main reason for the on/off button on the controller, it doesn't turn it off it puts it in standby. I think for things like send messages to your friends town, if its off (or the game isn't in the Wii) it'll prolly be held on Nintendos server waiting for you to start the Wii up again, when you do you'll prolly get a "pop-up" on the start up screen saying that you have an update for AC please insert the game disc to recieve.

I thought it was a great show (dispite my gamespot player starting late and cutting off as Miyamoto was starting to play the tennis game). Granted there were a few things that i expected and didn't get (Smash Bros, the opening of the front panel, release dates and prices...when can we expect these?). Still enjoyed the show, Zelda, Red Steel looked loads fun and all the vids looked top notch and it's looking the only way i'm gonna get everything i want at luanch is if i win the lotto :p

ha, i just went to Nintendos E3 site (http://e3.nintendo.com) to see what what player they were using for their stream... and it actually redirects to the gamespot site, guess its gamespot again...hope they have good music again if there's a delay

Yeah i bet Microsoft reveal something new for Xbox live and we'll see something similar added to the "PS3 Live" service...Sony must be feeling very good today, they're gonna have loads of "new" and "innovative" products and features by sun down

Ok i've thought about, i've the IGN comparision article, i've calmed down, the Wiimote has MUCH more potential than the PS3 "tilttroller", now all "Wii/we" have to do is make sure the "general" public know this so they don't think the PS3 can do the same as the Wii, i've already emailed some mates/cousins of mine saying about the PS3 controller reveal and a link to the IGN comparision article Oh and i must say the best part of the sony conference was being here posting and interacting with the R-E community, now that was class, now lets all get charged up for more of the same come 5:30

After last nights 800+ posts in the PS3 disscussion in the 2hour Sony Conference (that must beat the Red Steel record) i thought it best to make a seperate thread for the Nintendo Confernce so the Wii Hardware thread is only about hardware disscussion. If you want to talk about the Nintendo conference (what you think will happen, any comments during the show, any views/impressions after the show) here is the place to do it. Games (Video Trailers or people playing on stage) 1st Party Super Mario 128 Twilight Princess (i have a funny feeling we actually might see it Wii only and even further improved graphics and still be out for the Wii launch) Super Smash Bros. Wii Donkey Kong Wii Metriod Prime 3 (i think this could be the game the winner of that compo plays on stage) Wario Ware Wii Mario Sports games (Tennis, Baseball, Golf) Pokemon (in some form, maybe a Wii spin-off or even Diamond and Pearl for DS being revealed) And a number of new franchises 3rd Party: Red Steel Madden NFL Wii Tony Hawks FF:CC Sadness Raid over the River DS Dragon Quest Dragonball Z I have a feeling most of the above will prolly have there own slot with a member of the perspective developer on stage taking about it. Plus many more (and new games)

If someone edits that pic to put in the "new" ps3 pad (and somehow indicate hows its ripped off the Wii controller) i will print a number of copies and attempt to post them around my town/city/college

They had better not get any good press for this, i have a feeling tabliods will most likly praise them for "inovation" (prolly MTV news aswell), all "real" press had better rip them apart for there their blantant rip off of xbox live and the Wii controller. This just can't stand, how the hell do they sleep at night, and how the hell come whne they revealed the controller there wasn't and massive BOOO or something from the crowd... and the best part - they opened the show taking a shot at Nintendo for "gimicks", and they have the nerve to call themselves inovative? I can't wait for the Nintendo conference Reggie is gonna be kicking ass all over the place, this should be "thats Sonys screw up not my problem" from last last mulitplied ten fold. And any secrets they have, none can be held back tomorrow/today they have to come out guns blazing and nukes launched and they better be damned big impressive secrets plus the release date HAS to be BEFORE the PS3 and the price damned cheap. If i got that right then it won't have anything on the Wii controller which could sense full motion.

OMG most of the crowd must have fallen asleep, i'd have though the FFXIII and MGS4 would get better (louder) applauses than that. So far those two are prolly the only must own games they've show. oh shit the controller is coming....

That Eight Days game, i thought it was gonna be "Tomb Raider: Lara's Sex Change" Although admittidly it did look fairly good, as did that 1950 (WW2 never happen, aliens have invaded shooter), haha, "in our version of history WW2 never happened" OMG the PS3 CAN TURN BACK TIME AFTERALL....
