  1. Meh, I was just semi-randomly selecting one of either you or dan. I had a hunch you'd be more likely the long-haired guy. I'm not sure of anybody's claims of alignment, or abilities, but I was pretty sure everybody who claimed to be somebody actually was that person, whether they were good or evil. There were 3 people left who haven't claimed to be anyone yet, as far as I know (could be, dan, that I missed your post, but I didn't know who the Canadian guy was). You could've easily tried to claim to be the Canadian guy, or at least try to come up with some excuse.. But you didn't. Ellmeister: Who do we believe to be town? I guess that doesn't mean very much now with 3 people lost in 2 days, but I also meant I never voted for people who died and we know are good. Except for maybe Dyson. Anyway, here's what I think (but know not for sure): - Dyson / Sonic = good - Ellmeister / Big eared man = I know for a fact you're good - ReZourceman / Doughnut = I honestly don't know. - Paj Meen Ah / Well built man = evil - dan-likes-trees / Canadian man = good - Gizmo / Long haired guy = evil - Rummy / Red haired woman = could go either way, since she has't done much but seems to be a roleblocker.. But I'm thinking good - Nintendohnut / devil = neutral but good - Jonnas / Tattooed man = good Again, most of them are hunches. It also depend on how many mafia members there are left, but I don't think there are more than 3? At least the Long haired guy is one of them, and now I'm pretty certain it's Gizmo. I'm not sure yet of ReZ, Paj, and Rummy, although of the 3 I find Paj to be the more likely candidate. I also do trust Nintendohnut, but on the other hand I find ReZ's story too crazy (and a little bit fascinating) to just disregard. Could be very well his tactic, "hiding out in the open", but if he does have a different win-condition, I don't see us necessarily losing because of it. I find the long haired guy to have more priority, so for now, I'll keep my vote, but if If the bandwagon for ReZ is longer, I may hop on just to get it over with. At this point, we must lynch somebody.
  2. Moogleviper claimed me to be good, and I was the the only one going in against ReZ on that. Furthermore, if you're talking about Diageo, I wasn't exactly reluctant to vote for him, on the contrary, but I wanted to go over all the posts again, to look if someone should be given more priority to be lynched. Diageo was a mere redirector, and Paj, who I still think is evil, although I'm not very sure now, but if he's evil, should have way more priority than Diageo. He's done nothing but confuse the shit out of the write-ups. dan-likes-trees and Gizmo have also been low-profile, and like I said, one of the 2 should be the long-haired guy. I voted Giz, because I don't think he was as active the first few days as later, as was the long haired guy. Then again, we haven't seen much of the Canadian guy at all. Anyway, I just picked 1 of the 2.
  3. My final words: "Tell.. Tell all the Victoria's Secret Angels.. I love them.. Well, most of them." Oh well.
  4. Ellmeister, I don't appear in the last write-up. I don't appear in most of them. And how was my voting suspicious? I believe my voting records have been perfect so far. I don't think I've ever voted for someone who we believe to be town.
  5. I'm not saying unless necessary . As my role has become a bit useless now, I've set a new goal of keeping my identity hidden untill the end of the game, although I think that'll be hard :p. Moogleviper said I was good, that should be enough, right? .
  6. Hmm. - Nintendonhut can perhaps finally give us some insight into ReZ's character. - Well, the red haired woman finally makes an appearance again, since, night 1 I think. So is this Rummy? If Paj's evil, the red haired woman must be good. If however Paj was telling the truth, she's evil. It's hard to tell since we don't have a lot of info on her, but we already had a town roleblocker. At least Ellmeister can tell us who she is. - I think we should pressure Gizmo and dan-likes-trees. I'm sure one is the long-haired hippie, the other must be the Canadian. The long haired man must die, the Canadian guy.. I think he's mafia, but he also hasn't been very active at night, so it's hard to tell. My hunch says mafia though. It's either one. Vote: Gizmo Paj is the shape altering well built man, who has been roleblocked again, this time by the red haired woman, and previous night by you. Wait, I see you targeted Ellmeister ReZ, I read the previous write-up again. Then the well built man failed for other reasons, he doesn't exactly seem to be roleblocked then.
  7. I'll sign up by the way.
  8. I don't see the irony, but then I don't know what HeroClix is. Why don't you try a more hardcore mafia, see how we respond to it (unless you have already.. I wouldn't know)? I can see where you're coming from I think, but deceptive mafia abilities can make up for the relatively elabarate write-ups. Like anoying shapeshifters and the like. That said, it's al a big puzzle one way or the other, just with the write-ups, both town and mafia get the pieces quicker, making for faster games. Which I'd prefer. I don't think I'd enjoy a game that can literally last months.
  9. I assume you're talking about mafiascum? I came across the link when i went through the older mafia's. I've noticed the difference in write-ups. Personally, I like the narrative write-ups. I take it then, they didn't respond well to your mafia? I've registered on mafiascum, but it seems a little to hardcore to me. But let me know when you start a game there, I might join. As for the theme I want to keep for myself, I have some ideas for a Battlestar Galactica theme. Not DIY.
  10. Why don't you read the post :p.
  11. Oh well, that's a slight disappointment..
  12. Blank roles seem a bit too generic to me, but that doesn't mean they than have to be known characters.. You can make up your own names. But I say, do whatever you think is the most fun for you to do.
  13. Well, personally, I didn't have any expectations about my role. I liked being able to choose a character. I just liked imagining me appearing in the write-ups as someone nobody would guess. The DIY one to me was more random, since I don't know who all these characters are, I can't guess based on their appearance in the write-ups what their role will be, you can only guess based on their actions. the other one I'm in, however, has a distinct theme, and I'm able to judge more clearly what the roles are. In that sense, I have more expectations in a normal game than a DIY one, just not about my own character. To me, choosing a character is just simply choosing your description in the write-up. Of course, you could fish for certain roles by suggesting specific characters, but it's ultimately up to the host to decide what to make of a role. The best situation of course is if the host can take inspiration from the character without making the role too obvious, or 1:1. You can still fiddle with the abilities to make them more interesting. Or the host can simply disregard the actual character, and make something up. Too bad. You can still be creative with a DIY mafia. I don't see the problem. That said, I'm enjoying my non-DIY game just as much.
  14. Maddog, I'm really enjoying it. Of course I can't comment on my role, or on your comments on my role, but I already PM'd you about it . Hopefully I can say this: I though it was a perfect role for me to start out with in my first mafia game. My introduction to it has been great. And yeah, I do have a cool theme, which hasn't been used as far as I know, but I'm keeping that one to myself. after all the ones ReZ listed, I may have a go myself . Hopefully I'll have enough experience after that. Edit: But to give you a suggestion I'd really love: Semi-DIY restricted to Star Trek characters. People can choose a character from star Trek, any series or film.
  15. I just imagine some red horned guy, just lying stretched on a fatboy, beer in hand, packet of crips within reach, casually watching Dancing with the stars. How can he not be good. Totally harmless. Oh and this day went by quick . Just one more vote.
  16. Good he was roleblocked. I mean, Paj, you know we don't like the shapeshifting, so if you really were town, you would've done nothing, but ReZ here has stopped you from doing whatever you planned to do (my guess: shapeshift the camouflaged man). I think ReZ is pretty clear now. Anyway; vote: The fish Also, I just find that hilarious.
  17. Poor Tellyn. Doesn't get to post 2 days (well, not really), and when he wasn't of any more use, they killed him. What a way to go.. But we got wonderful news. Dannyboy can tell us who the camouflaged man is, so we can lynch the fucker :p. I'll post a breakdown later, although I think this one is quite clear now, so not really necessary.
  18. I'll go over everything said shortly.. But I'm inclined to hop on the Maddog bandwagon (no offense, I love your DIY mafia :p). I don't think Luigi is in the game. But I'll read through everything before I'll actually cast my vote. And I'll do that after making sweet love to Liara in Mass Effect 2 :p.
  19. Well, after seeing your confusing posts in the DIY mafia I was a bit worried before the start :p. But you're doing well so far, just try not to forget stuff :p. But it looks like you got creative with some abilities, there's a lot of fun stuff going on in the write-ups..
  20. To immediately make use of Diageo's new info: That's actually really helpful. This means: - Squirtle has been called back, and we can expect a new Pokémon (Ivysaur is next?) - With the shell from night 1 being Squirtle, I'm now once again convinced the killer from night 1 is Yoshi, as he appears in night 2 too, but there's no Luigi. This would mean Peach is good, Ness is evil, and jayseven's power actually does also switch them around in the write-up. That's what I think anyway. Thought you might've found out because it was missing from my analysis .
  21. Glad my elaborate post was of help (?).
  22. Jayseven's last action. Hmm, after the charge move from the previous night, I was expecting her to shoot something, but we see her transform into ball, so perhaps this is the boost ball ability.. Targeting Mario. Samus gets redirected, but I assume not to Bowser, but is rather roleblocked by Bowser. So we don't find out what her ability does. Nor do we get to know to who she's redirected, and if this is a random or specific redirect.. No wait. I think I've figured this out, the red dressed individual from night 1 is indeed Mario, not Diddy as I thought, and here's Jigglypuff taking another shot, this time succesful it seems. Since this is most likely a roleblock, the ability above can't be an active ability.. So rather it must be a passive "redirected targeted abilities" ability. Well, except for roleblock abilities aparently. So we don't know yet what Mario does? (and apparently he has not taken any actions yet, inactive perhaps?) Hmm, one of the Starfox crew, however, I see no hint that there are multiple Starfox characters in play, this must be Paj / Fox then. I don't believe he stated his ability? But he seems to be some sort of investigator. No scratch that, I'm guessing tracker. And Sonic seems to be roleblocked (see below), hence the "no info". Sonic's probably a redirector, and tried to target Kirby it seems, but Kirby succesfully copied Lucario's powers. So jayseven's confusing legacy may live on . Small chance it is Squirtle, but with a power like Lucario's, easy target. Sonic gets grabbed. I think this is the thief from night 1, Ganondorf. I'd consider him the most armoured man out there, also, the throat grab. This.. Seems to be a roleblock and investigation in one? Weird combination. Some confusion here.. Wario is obviously involved, but what the effect of the brown cloud is? Furthermore, I'm sure this is ReZ as Marth one day-delay roleblocking Ganondorf, only Ganondorf doesn't appear to be roleblocked, his "investigation" succeeds. ReZ can shed some light on this perhaps. Maybe he didn't target anyone night 1, and the stabbing now actually prevents Ganondorf from doing anything night 3? Pikachu targeting someone who is very popular, but doesn't like the publicity. I was wondering who it could be, but after a while, I was thinking, "cloaking device?", so I reckon Snake. Hmm, Zelda ignored jayseven's plea to be protected it seems, and deemed this character to be more worthwile? Now this is important to get straight, because it's still confusing. This is jayseven's ability at work for the last time (well at least by him). jayseven specifically stated it only changes people targeting these 2 characters (targeting the other instead), but I don't believe this means they switched places in the write-up.. So this must be Ness thinking he's Peach. I'm still not sure about Lucario's power though.. It's still possible this is actually Peach thinking she's Ness. Ness apparently has some telekinetic ability, so if this is actually Ness, i wonder how he intended to help (?) {Snake} out? Hmmz. See? This implies Peach is evil, but jayseven's power is confusing things. It's still possible this is Ness thinking he's Peach, or even a different scenario. Which could mean Peach is good, but then Ness is evil. Well, no sign of Luigi. Either he's keeping a low profile, or Yoshi here was indeed the killer of night 1. But that would imply Peach is good, and therefore Ness is evil. So many questions.. I don't like this swap ability that's for sure, even when used for "good". Anyone with some pieces of the puzzle?
  23. It must be Peach yeah, although I don't get the "telekinetic ability". But no-one else uses a frying pan. So this confirms the characters real background doesn't necessarily decide their alignment. I'll go over it in a few minutes.
  24. I'm confident you did, but I guess, as you're already one of the candidates, we won't get any more out of you. I'm sure you've changes some of your friends as well. Mr. innocent for example.. vote: Paj Meen Ah
  25. I beg to differ. He's caused too much confusion using this, and in the wrong hands, you're able to create perfect covers for mafia members. With a redirect there are few people involved, but he's been changing people since night 1, leaving doubt as to who people are or have been previously. And this may be a long shot, but maybe his death will revert back the all the changes he's made.
