It's giving me a bit of a Buffy / Charmed vibe.

Actually, it may be one of the few I'm interested in. If it turns out reasonably well.

If it's faster and will allow a guaranteed 1080p when docked, then it's a personal must-buy. I've always wanted a Switch+, I've wanted one since launch. But so far the only remoured upgrade is the lcd screen.. Since I don't play handheld that much, and I find the screen pretty good as it is, I'll pass unless there are substantial other upgrades. The rumour says they're not even upgrading it to OLED, so I don't see the point. Well, apart from perhaps some Gorilla glass, that could be useful, though personally it's not an upgrade seller for me.

It seems Netflix is producing choose-your-own-adventure content. An upcoming Black Mirror episode will be interactive. They're actually already doing this with some kids shows.. I've seen it, but totally forgot.

Did a few more afterwards.. Did manage to rank up actually, using the Robot. I bought that one with gold, he's one of the cheaper ones, but he's also one of the few I had fun with during the betas.

Solomon's key looks like it could have been fun back in the day. I don't think I want to get into it now.. Of all the upcoming games I'm mostly interested in Metroid and to lesser extent Twinbee.

@Nintendo Fan, both me and @Vileplume2000 will be playing tonight. Up for some games? Also, our last games didn't go to well huh? I suspect we only had one actual game together.. I crashed, and I believe you crashed as well? Anyway. Hope they fix it. Also I'll update the OP later. You should have a few characters and skins at this point.

I prefer the NES layout for NES games. It's far superior to anything else. I never played the SNES much back when it was current gen, so the layout isn't second nature to me (and the N64 and GameCube and Wii layout are obviously very different). Still to this day I have trouble finding the perfect layout for retro and retro style games which use a SNES or PS layout. If I were to design a new traditional controller with 4 regular face buttons, I'd probably use a wildly different layout.

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

Who asked for more Japanese 80s disco? No one? -
For those who need some inspiration:

I would have bought it on PC already, if I think my PC could run it. If I buy a new PC before Overwatch 2 is out, I still may.

Are those those rolling bosses where there are 6 of them? They were annoying. I think it's one the few bosses, maybe even the first, where I actually started to use my projectiles.

I just watched this clip from The Dark Knight.. It's been a while, but was surprised it aged so badly.

I'm waiting for the Switch port.

Same for me. May play a few quick games today / tonight, but I'll have more time for this tomorrow evening probably. However! You and @Nintendo Fan shouldn't forget to login for the login bonusses! Keep doing that until the two weeks are over, and you'll have several goodies.

He seriously looks like he's about to break it.

Baten Kaitos once had a second sequel in the planning.. https://nintendoeverything.com/baten-kaitos-director-says-third-game-was-in-the-works-planned-as-grand-scale-game/

My impressions are that this is good old-fashioned Dark Souls. It's still doesn't look technically pretty, although most of the setpieces and monster designs make up for it. But I can see why some people are upset about this aspect of the "remaster". I suspect the biggest actual improvement are the dedicated servers, but I'm not sure how big of an improvement that will be. One host was lagging while co-opping. Some of the multiplayer aspects got changed for the network test I suspect. I never was able to summon someone as the Black Knight, nor could I ever invade a Gravelord. But as a soldier, I got summoned constantly. But yeah, everything else just feels like it ever did, so it feels good. PvE combat is as satisfying as ever, PvP combat is still something I have to practice! Overall it's the Dark Souls I know and love. I personally need nothing more than a physical copy for my collection and a new multiplayer community to play with. While hype here seems to be non-existent, there were plenty of people playing, and I can have fun with randomers. Would be great to see more NE people though. @nekunando and @Nicktendoweren't impressed with the network test, though I keep telling the test wasn't great as a demo. I wonder if there will be a proper demo (do the other consoles have one?)? The asylum works much better as a demo. Anyway, even after 250 hours, I still have plenty of stuff to do. Doing another regular run, trying out different builds, do new game + runs, doing specific multiplayer builds for both co-op and invasions (on PC I had an invading Santa Claus build who was dropping prism stones and leaving gifts, for example), playing plenty of hide and seek with invaders, haha, and if I have enough experience, maybe I'll try a level 1 run. And I still want to do a let's play, but I need to change my set-up for that, so probably won't do one at launch. Without getting to technical, every time you load a multiplayer area in Dark Souls, it will generate a pool of other players, from which it chooses when you want to invade, get summoned or be invaded. if your brother isn't among them, you won't be playing together. I assume this is still more or less the same for the remaster. But the full game will feature a password system, so you don't have to rely on random chance.

Had enough of Gradius?

Haha, yeah, admittedly it took me much longer than expected to get to and take down the Gargoyles. The Black Knight already caused numerous deaths, but I was adamant at killing it. It was a combination of getting back the feeling for the game, including its controls, playing with a pre-built character, and maybe a little bit of over confidence. I played Pyromancers, but I built them so they were at least capable of blocking some things. But yeah, I succeeded in the end, which is good because I'd normally have better gear at that point. After that I tried some of the other characters for multiplayer. But it's too bad to see no hype at all for this game on this forum.

So one thing I'd like to see more: people using multiplayer even if they intend to play something single player! Honestly, I don't mind watching! Obviously don't do it if it fucks up your connection, or you don't want secrets spoiled, but I love to watch sometimes, depending on the game. Kick me out of the game if you're done or had enough of my sarcastic claps, I won't take offense. Similarly, I'll just leave when you're playing something I don't like to watch. I had @Glen-i watching over me while I was playing Zelda 1, and experienced no lag, and it was fun having someone around. But it's also why I'd like to have text chat, and more hand emotes. I've already mentioned humbs up and down, which seem obvious to me, and I'd also like a wave. Plenty of possibilities. Like a peace / victory sign, or hands doing an apology gesture.. Or a pray gesture when you're about to try something hard. Discord isn't an easy alternative for impromptu sessions. Yeah, I forgot most about world 4.. It wasn't exactly impressive after world 3. 3-7 yeah.. I genuinely thought you'd have less trouble with it than I had! I wasn't planning to, but I'll tweet one of the 3-7 videos I have, and embed it below. I casually found dungeon 5, 6 and 8 before I finally found dungeon 2.. <sigh> Yeah, I almost forgot I had multiplayer set up. If I was in the overworld, I would have changed games right away, but as I was in the middle of a dungeon (the one I finally found after exploring most of the map), I wanted to finish it! Yeah it's fun watching stuff you don't know about, even when doing multiplayer games. @Dcubed showed some tricks and glitches in SMB3 for example. There's also plenty of stuff I simply forgot, like some of the hidden bonus world blocks.. You uncovered one right in the first (or one of the first) levels, and I was thinking "oh right". Anyway, it brings me to a point, which I posted above, as it may get overlooked here between the quotes. Yeah, since I was moving the pointer, I was in "point & click mode", but that didn't work.. I actually knew (the game tells you as much at the start).. But couldn't get that across immediately (well maybe i should have posted it here actually). It was why I was hesitant to follow you through an exit in one specific place, as I think I heard boss music. It was also why I lingered in places in general, just to see if some boss would show up after defeating some more enemies. Anyway, the game's fun, and better than Double Dragon. I'm definitely up to play it again some time. Yeah I love the boomerang! Too bad it gets upgraded right away though. I barely remember anything specific about Zelda 1 at all. It's so long ago.. I wouldn't be surprised it was like actual 25 (twenty-five!!) years. Dying so much, I wonder how I put up with it then! Haha. But I guess I put up with it then the same way I did now.. Keep playing until it clicked again. Getting one extra heart and the boomerang already helps immensely. Getting more hearts and a ring (I already found the blue ring again, but couldn't afford it yet) will help even more. As for bombable walls and burnable brushes.. I remember very few specific things, but I've played it enough to know I should try bombing and burning everything! And I also remember that the red flame makes the last thing much easier! Some things are pretty obvious though, it's why I immediately found dungeon 8 again. As for the "grumble grumble".. I haven't seen it myself, but I instantly know what you mean. I have found the other piece of the puzzle, but couldn't remember where to use it. Videos from various games: @Dcubed @Glen-i already posted a video of my encounter with the big bro! And here's 3-7:
