  1. I've missed what's probably dozens of pages of chat about this topic, but I just cannot for the life of me see the new console coming out in March. I guess being a fan of A Song of Ice and Fire has made me an absolute cynic when it comes to release dates!
  2. Consumers will most likely see this an another SKU (if that's the right word). Sony are basically saying: instead of one PS4 model, we are now offering two options. In terms of defining success, I'm sure Sony will looking at total PS4s sold first (which will probably remain steady) before analysing the ratio of Slim to Pro sales. So it will be difficult to quantify the success of the Pro in terms of its isolated raw sales figures.

I would be up for that, although I wouldn't be able to play on Saturday. For all you Grimoire collectors, Private Matches are now live and each map has a dead ghost. I'm going to avoid a guide and try to find them myself.
  4. Another really enjoyable meet this year, many thanks to everyone who came and made it special. It was good to meet @Mr\-Paul, we're sorry that we didn't up going to Loading. Just wanted to let you know that we really appreciate your efforts in trying to book us a table at Loading, unfortunately we weren't quite as organised as we should have been. Next year, we'll be sure to book the table far enough in advance so we get a spot downstairs. Thanks for not making too much of a mess at my place, you were all very well behaved and, as long as I'm still living there, you are welcome to come along again next year. Will try to keep the cricket chat down to a minimum.
  5. We'll let you know in the morning, but it will probably be around 12.
  6. May as well book it for now, but may be worth starting to think of anywhere else we could go Saturday night? @Rummy, do think Meltdown would be a viable option? Ideally we just need a place with large enough tables for all of us to sit down and chill. Not that fussed about the games personally, but would be bonus. Last we there were around 12 of us in Five Guys, but I see your point. I don't want to fracture into two groups if we can help it. Another idea is to find a gastropub near Hyde Park and stay there for a bit before moving on to Loading. Any suggestions welcome. Will try to do some investigation this week.
  7. So I think I have the following people coming to the meet: Friday at mine: Me Goron_3 MoogleViper Shorty Sheikah Cube Dannyboy-and-the-Danes Rummy Mr-Paul? Flink + Eenuh (Maybe) Saturday: Me Goron MoogleViper Shorty Sheikah Cube Dannyboy-and-the-Danes Rummy Mr-Paul Flink + Eenuh Rez Goafer Daft (maybe) Could anyone coming to my place Friday think about any board/card/video games they could bring? E.g. Cards Against Humanity. Also last year we managed to get 8 player Smash on the go, would need someone to bring a Wii U Gamecube Controller adaptor and a few more pads! If you could book Loading Bar again, that would be much appreciated. I think if we book a table for 15 that will be enough? So for Saturday afternoon/evening, I was thinking about going to Five Guys at Kings Cross. Would be kinda on the way to Loading Bar from Hyde Park and we wouldn't need to book. If anyone has any other suggestions, then please let me know. Wouldn't mind booking a table at somewhere nice if people prefer a sit down meal to a greasy burger. If it rains on Saturday, then I think we will go to the Red Lion. I don't really know anywhere else in the vicinity of Hyde Park that would be suitable.

Please sign me up for the Blind Raid! Think I've missed out on the NE Blind Raids so far (I remember to King's Fall for the first time with randos).
  9. Closest tube is Caledonian Road, one up from King's Cross. Would be good to see you both Friday night if you can make it!
  10. Less than a month to go! Time to start organising a few more things for the weekend. I really enjoyed the Loading bar in Dalston we went to last year, if everyone is happy with that then we can look into reserving a table again, unless anyone has any other suggestions for places to go Saturday night? Five Guys is an option for food on Saturday evening. They've opened one next to King's Cross which I think is a better option than the one near Angel we went to last year. Also, for people coming round my place, please think about any card games, board games, video games etc that you can bring.
  11. Sorry for getting back to you late, just wanted to confirm that I'm okay with you and your friends staying around my place. But remember that they will most likely be sleeping on the floor in a cramped living room. Friday night will probably be booze and video games again, looking forward to seeing everyone!
  12. Which days/nights were you planning on staying? To be clear Danny, you will always have a spot, but understand that I may have to prioritise forumites over your friends if my place starts to reach capacity. That's not a 'no', I want to find out interest from other people first. So to anyone who want's to stay at mine on the Saturday night (or Friday night), please can you PM me your interest rather than post it directly in the thread. I want to accommodate everyone but also want to avoid disappointing people publicly.

  14. So happy for Wales. What a performance! I worry for them next game though, Ramsey has been by far their star performer and he will be greatly missed against Portugal.
  15. I have voted Remain and my housemate has voted Leave. We've had a fair few discussions around it and he nearly swayed me at one point, but I think what has made me vote Remain is the political and economic uncertainty of what leaving the EU will cause in the short to medium term. I've detached myself from the media aspect of the referendum as I know that the debates will have devolved to fear-mongering and shit-slinging around immigration, terrorists, economic crises and all the usual political scare tactics. I think the worst thing about this referendum is that 95% of the electorate are just not knowledgeable enough around the EU to make a properly informed decision about UK's status.
  16. I would like to be involved in one way or another. If there's something going on in London then I can help in regards to accommodation and/or equipment. Could even host something at a stretch if we end up going down the mulitple locations route.
  17. As a supporter of a League Two team (playing in League One next season!), I'm for the idea in principle but do have a few concerns on how it will be implemented and supported. The largest benefit would be to alleviate fixture congestion. Oxford United played 60 matches this season, by virtue of doing well in Cup competitions. Often meant we were playing every Saturday and every Tuesday, and I believe it really affected our form around February and March. We were lucky that we didn't have any major injuries during this period. Obviously a big concern is that fewer fixtures mean fewer matchdays for clubs to earn revenue from (although you would expect average attendances to be higher as there would be fewer midweek games, aggregate attendance over the season would still be lower I imagine). Football League clubs would need some kind of guarantee that this shake-up would galvanise interest in the divisions, rather than further marginalise the clubs that would inevitably be put in "League Three". On a side note, I hope they address the bottleneck between League Two and the Conference in terms of promotion/relegation. Conference has really become an unbalance league with so many former FL clubs queuing up for only 2 promotion spots. Should really be 3 up and 3 down. Would also love play-offs to be scrapped in all leagues, but I don't see that happening.
  18. Sorry, I've been meaning to get things moving again. I think if there are no major objections in the next day or so, we will need to lock in 13th August as the date. Realise that it's not perfect, but we need to set the date for people to book travel and time off work.
  19. Rest in peace MadDog. He has been a member on the forums for 9 years and I don't remember anyone having a bad word to say about him. His presence has made this community a better place and for him to be tragically taken at such a young age is devastating. He will be sadly missed. My condolences to his friends and family. Also, thank you to Ashley for the touching post and for getting in touch with his family. I speak for everyone here when I say for your efforts are much appreciated.
  20. This was a good episode brought down by some really bad sections. I didn't think they could make the Dorne plot any worse, but they somehow succeeded in doubling down the awfulness. Here's hoping the dragons come to Dorne at some point, eat the Sand Snakes and burn the whole place to the ground. The happenings at the Wall were very good though. Liked the ending especially, nice to see a popular fan theory confirmed and done in a way that really adds depth to the character.

I'm around tonight! Up for anything.
  23. For the people who said they could/couldn't attend 30th July in the thread, would you be able to make 13th August? Additionally those of you who put red in the spreadsheet for certain dates, could you just confirm how flexible you are? Because at the moment it looks like there's no "perfect" date for everyone who wants to come. I'd rather not have the meet moved to a date where people who want to come miss out if we can help it. To confirm, I'm more than up for hosting people again this year. Last year it all very much unplanned and spontaneous, but I thought it was a lot of fun having everyone over and would definitely be up for doing it again (up to a certain person limit of course). Not really ready to discuss any details now so please don't send me any requests just yet, just bear in mind that certain people will get preference depending on where they are travelling from (since London Travel and Accommodation is a tad on the expensive side).
  24. It would be good to get the date finalised soon to give people enough notice in case people want to book travel or book time off work (I'll be looking to take the Friday off so I'm in no rush to get home early). 30th July is looking to be the date, but it would be good to hear from people who attended last year. @Dannyboy\-the\-Dane @dwarf gourami @Marcamillian @The Bard @Anyone I may have missed I think if we don't hear from anyone by next week then we will go ahead with 30th July.
  25. Alright you slags, who is up for meeting up? Last year's thread Unless there are strong protestations, this will take place in London like it has done every year. Post your interest/disinterest here. Edit by Cube: Spreadsheet
