This is very weird indeed. A handheld that plays gcn discs? I find that very hard to believe, even if it is from IGN. I wonder what made them take it off.

At least NOE seem to be trying really hard with advertising the DS. Australia/NZ is notorious for how crap Nintendo are doing there. Perhaps it will all change with wii?...Probably not.

A square-enix console makes the mind boggle. But I doubt it would actually be a competitive home console, perhaps some kind of handheld add-on device?

I then begin to wonder... where is Quina? Oh yeah you forgot to get her:( . Not that she's much good anyway at this point.

Hmm now im starting to think that Ruby/sapphire was the best gen. I thought the pokemon were much better. Also the whole new area with lots of new pokemon was really good, in gold and silver you still found pidgeys and rattatas and there was hardly any new pokemon. The improvements were also a lot better, like the new ablitites. Gold and silver was for me just red and blue again with just a few more pokemon and another place to visit. It didnt really sort out problems with the first game (like the lack of dragons and ghosts).

I have a worry that the wii version's aiming with the bow might be a bit dodgy (people complained when using it in the demo). Hopefully you'll still be able to lock on and aim with the bow as per normal.

From what I've seen, they've removed the entire "episodes" thing where once you entered a level it said something along the lines of "episode 1: get the shine on the windmill!" and had to get that star/shine before you could get another. Galaxy looks like it you can get any star in any order, so it looks like Galaxy wil have that exploration aspect which Sunshine never had. Yes, yes you can. Happy now?

It all depends how good the voiceacting is. If done well, it is very effective and improves the game's overall presentation. If done badly, it can seriously detract from the whole experience. RPGs don't need voiceovers, if written well enough (and backed with suitable music) the whole mood and atmosphere can be conveyed easily. FFX had a decent enough story but some of it was spoiled by bad voice acting, especially in the case of Yuna. On the other hand, ToS had great voice acting, but it lacked that killer story to go with it.

Ha ha, parents can go pretty crazy when playing games. My mum got addicted to Columns on the megadrive (quite a while ago now) and she constantly played brain training on holiday (her brain age was 40, not bad for a 52 year old). For me, Galaxy doesn't need any minigames or mutiplayer because I think that Galaxy will be so good that it would surpass sm64. The footage I've seen has looked amazing and it has received really positive feedback from critics. This could end up being Wii's best game.

I would so love Goku to be in this one. He is awesome.

Rise Against - Paper Wings

I must have watched the 1st trailer so many times. It feels pretty epic, and really old now... it hadn't even decided the name yet.

No he's talking about the PS2 casual gamer, the people who just go along with the trend, don't know very much about games, so they buy a PS2 and the yearly installments of FIFA. The wii needs a good and consistent array of less hardcore titles to attract them away from Sony. So far we have Monkey ball, wii sports, warioware, CoD3 and maybe Rayman.

When I went to florida (must have been ages ago now) I found the queues to be a lot less than I expected. 15 mins to get on the front of Kraken! Anyway Busch Gardens, Sea World and Islands Of Adventure are the places to go for Rollercoaster junkies. Kraken is simply the best rollercoaster I have been on, and Hulk and Kumba are also amazing. Anyone ever been on Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach? It's amazing, but it gives you a massive wedgey!

The smash combat system may seem simple but it is very deep. There must be about 30 moves you can do using just using the dstick and a or b, I dont have to memorise a stupid button combination to do a move I want. I thought the bubble shield worked really well, it allowed for an instant block which you could use to reverse the attack by grabbing out of a shield.

Why call it Mario Football, it should be Wii Football to go along with the trend.

I am known amongst my friends (and generally my year) as being quite the boff. I like haven't done any work this year, yet I'm still going to get all As & A*s. Also I am known as a games nerd a bit, I'm especially a Smash Bros nerd but thats the only game I'm truly obsessed with. I can also recite every line in the south park movie.

Warioware multiplayer is amazing! The best multiplayer microgame is the one where snot falls from the womans nose. Oh the hilarity! Single player doesn't matter much, it's the same as on the GBA. But it's only worth £20 (even less now) so it's a bargain!

Congrats Villa. Just remember that O'Neil isn't all that he is hyped to be. Sure he did well at Leicester, but he is yet to prove himself as a top manager in the premiership yet. So he may have won a few titles and cups with Celtic? That doesn't really say much, even bloody O'Leary could win something in the scottish league. I'm just saying Villa fans... Martin O'Neil does not mean instant success. Anyway... YES! The season starts tomorrow!

That album art is my new desktop background . Your right it doesn't really sound like some of their old stuff. TROBB is a pretty decent song, but they have soo many better songs. The same riff seems to just drag for too long, it didn't seem at all as interesting as Pashendale. Although it would probably sound awesome live. Speaking of which, I'm more hyped than ever about seeing them in december. Twill be amazing.
