I think they want members who are also not banned from what I heard, some of them still have access and can check. One person in the Discord I got my code from said they were screened, but couldn't get on the new site due to being banned on Gaf. They had nearly 2,000 applications this evening alone.

It's a code given out on Discord, they tried opening up for a short while before it got hammered by GG. At the moment, it's invite only via a code. Edit: I'm signed up to ERA, got myself a code

I can confirm that. It asks for a secret code, which i'm guessing is provided by invite.

Only thing so far is that ResetERA is blocked on the works internet, however the Gaf isn't.

I'm on one Gaf Discord..........however it's one of the very quiet ones, so any chances i have of getting onto ResetERA until it opens to all are slim. I am lurking on Reset as an outsider, so i'll keep my ear to the floor. I saw it was open last night, but thought nothing of it (should have signed up when i saw it). Ah well, i'll keep an eye out.

It's an invite only sign-up at the moment, there are a few terms to get an invite. One of them is you are not banned at the Gaf (basically, so they can confirm you as former Gaf) and/or you are part of the Discord group (verified that way). That way, you get an invite to sign up

There are some request topics popping up in the gaming boards, and again he's banning people for having an opinion.

GAF is apparantly going back online tonight.................just without the Off Topic threads. Apparently, they were too much strain on the mods to cope with (along with the gaming threads)

There is news of a new GAF-style forum cropping up later today or tomorrow (depending on timezones). Looking on Twitter, some members have moved onto SLAENT and Waypoint.

Don't get me started on that fight, it was bad enough i had to take a break and come back to it later. Otherwise i'd probably have a broken controller. Once i saw Canada on the map, i was wondering how long it would take before they'd take the mick out of it.

Damn. Like Hero of Time, I lurked in the background on NeoGAF to read up on whatever the latest and breaking news in gaming was. But honestly, this is a crap show. Bet the owner is now kicking himself for not taking that supposed offer of 10 million. What'll become of NeoGAF. At the moment, it's reading an error 503 so I'm guessing it's overloaded with all the topics going right after the owner (which doesn't surprise me really, to be honest). Hopefully, it pops back up at some point down the line, and hopefully Evilore free. May try Reddit, but that place is a mess and is confusing without knowing how it works (especially with all the subreddits dotted about)

Finished Stick of Truth earlier today. For the first time playing it, it was a good game. Now that's done, i can start Fractured But Whole and have a better understanding of it

Finished South Park The Stick of Truth earlier today. As it was said in the thread in other consoles, this felt like playing an extended episode of South Park. Which can only be a good thing, to say the least. Did many of the available side-quests, the combat was certainly good and challenging in places.

Bungie needs to address the issues with Destiny 2. Myself, i'm sort of between sessions with D2. I got a pretty hefty gaming backlog, which is just increasing further with the impending arrival of both Stick of Truth and Fractured, But Whole. That's also not including 2 purchases i made on the PSN sale either. I'm finding it easier to just go and play other games than Destiny 2. The 4v4 PvP mode is good, i like the idea and it's great to see some quicker matches. However, i'd have liked a choice in what type of PvP matches happen. The random selection isn't ideal and it's off putting (i'd prefer to play Control solid or the Capture the Flag mode than mixing things up).

Finished Steamworld Dig 2 last night. I enjoyed it, good follow-up to the first Dig game. More of a story, enjoyed exploring the mines and caves. Onto the next random game i might download, probably back to Downwell.

Got a week off over Christmas, so my plan is to see this over that period.

Starting to look at some properties with Sophie. Basically, we can get a mortgage based on what i have saved up (and what my parents are giving me towards it). However, Sophie hasn't got anything near what i have and i'd like her to at least have something to put towards a deposit. Her folk have offered to get the appliances we would need (washing machine, fridge/freezer, tumble dryer etc) instead, so that's something at least.

Picked this up on PS4/Vita. Downloaded it to the Vita for portability. Loving it so far, it's so inviting to explore everywhere and find unlocks and upgrade cogs.

Only retail 3DS game this year is Pokemon Ultra Sun for me. All other games are on the PS4.
