If you wish to discuss the conduct of the person in the video - do it here - Rummy

(thripped from funny thread, as discussion isn't particularly hilarious)

It makes me laugh, why are people complaining. First time a game doesn't arrive a day early (when they really ain't meant to) and people go off on a paddy. Good for them, even Shopto are having a laugh about the situation.
-
I tweeted one complaint, got called an idiot for mentioning the Rockstar block.
-
Why send dispatch emails if the package hasn't been dispatched? My postman is always slow, so it's either going to arrive by half 3 or tomorrow. What is a little surprising is, i haven't seen the postman all day. He's not even come down the road to other houses. I've been reading the Shopto complaint tweets, people are cancelling Xbone and PS4 orders with them. Sorry, but the game isn't technically out until tomorrow. If the game hasn't arrived today, then it will tomorrow. If it doesn't, then check Royal Mail then Shopto is what i say. And Amazon are in the shits with Rockstar, sending the orders out Friday and people are getting them today.

Anyone else got the Blimp pre-order bonus, i intend my first thing i'll do is fly it to the top of the mountain and around the region. Only 5 hours before 4 days off, and maybe 2 days before the game arrives from Shopto (hopefully)

I've had countless mail "lost" by the Royal Mail, so i guess the counting process at the office near me isn't as good as it should be. He wouldn't tell me how he did it though.

Had the emails from Shopto, account charged and order is processing. C'maan dispatch email, then i know there is a day to wait for the game. I'm good friends with a chap at the Royal Mail sorting office near me, the last big(ish) game i pre-ordered which was ordered by GAME to the Royal Mail to hold until release day, he gave me it earlier on his way home. So hopefully it's the same again, got 4 days off work from 6:30pm tomorrow.

I remember more of this fateful day, remember my late Nan saying the tower wouldn't fall down. But it did, which was something to see indeed. I think i tuned in about 5 or so minutes before the 2nd tower was struck, but i saw the 1st on fire. And a lot more people escaped the 2nd tower due to seeing the 1st being hit, so less loss of life from that one.

Moving onto @Rummy, it's been a while.

Interview went well, so well i'm invited to part 2 in October. Was told on the phone, even though it was meant to be informed via email. Was told i'm a strong candidate for the position, one of the strongest based on experience. Only issue is, they failed to tell in the description it had some outbound calls, which i don't particulary like.

I didn't find out until i got home from school and wanted to watch "Chucklevision" at 3:15pm in 2001, the news was on and i ended up watching the news unfold.

What's Metro???. I use Startisback which restores the start menu, so it boots to desktop. I've also triggered it to never pop up the Metro theme.
-
I see, going back to where it all started (to end it all i guess). Wonder if they'll find Dennis and the rest of Mr Arnold?

Got myself an interview tomorrow, could be a possible way out (hopefully). only applied for the job a few hours ago, had a call back inviting me to attend tomorrow.

That's the plan, i'm not leaving without a fallback. According to company policy, i can go on sick leave for 6 months for full pay. So in theory, i could sit the rest of my contract out away from the place never stepping foot here again (only to hand over my pass). I'm strongly considering that part.

I was similar to others, back and forth between different consoles for different games. I'd play a bit on the 360, then maybe jump onto a Nintendo game then some PC. I'd hardly get a game done as it were and built a huge back catalogue. If a game was a blockbuster, i'd focus on that game before heading back to the others once it was done. And in the last year, my gaming has faded. But recently i've got back into it, better than i used to. These days, i focus on one game and i seem to be clearing the back catalogue quicker. In the past month, i've finished Tomb Raider, Dishonored and Twilight Princess. More of an achievement than i'm used to.

I'm hoping too, but i don't see it happening. Looking forward to potentially using the Gamepad as a Pictobox to take the random pictures for the Nintendo Gallery, will be interesting.

In seriousness, they haven't hired anyone new in the department i'm in since December and that was because they were low in numbers (still low in numbers now, hence all the crap that's happened worse now). People leave, no-one hired to replace.
-
Well, they gotta pay them gangsta's innit!!!! (yeah, i'll leave now). They've used actual gangsters to voice some characters in-game and pay various music licenses as well most likely.

The final straw is done, i'm leaving my job asap. To be honest, i feel like just walking out the door now and not coming back. We were told that there would be some better work (i say better, it's not on the phones to begin with) but the rest of the job is pretty mediocre. But at least it wasn't on the phone, which is the part of the work i dislike. I also dislike management and many other factors, but hey. They picked out people to do the non-phone work, and i fell into the category to continue doing the phones. I'm not very happy, other people who asked not to do the non-phone work are doing it which i think isn't fair. I know it was random, but i feel like i'm being put into a pile of crap.
