Whatever happened to this game, is it still part of Wii Sports? (Perhaps an un-lockable game ) Or maybe it is becoming Pilotwings after all. I just hope it comes out one way or another as it looked fantastic.

Absolutely, or at least RGB scart. But seeing as they're both the same price (according to Gameplay) you should go for Component. And trying to get a decent widescreen CRT these days is almost impossible too, although I did manage to find one recently, a 28" JVC from Tescos. Very good TV with nice picture and sound quality and almost no geometry issues, apart from a little in the top left hand corner. I was considering getting it for while, but it's too big / heavy for my room really so I'm going to get a 26" LCD instead. Anyway, the screen size on a 26" LCD will be around the same as a 28" CRT though, just minus all of the extra weight / depth. :awesome:

Judging by the fact that Nintendo seem to demo Wii on nothing but HD LCD Screens (see my earlier post in this thread) I'd say not much of a problem at all. I get the impression that the majority of these "LCD horror stories" come form people that have really nice TV's and then connect stuff via composite expecting it to look good. Component and progressive scan will make the world of difference.

But surely a "turbo charged cube" is in between the cube and the ps3.

No idea how many they'll get, but I very much doubt any GAME stores will get none at all. I reckon there will be more than enough systems to meet the initial demand anyway.

I know we discussed it before in the "Need a TV for Wii thread" but I'm still confused by all this. I just don't see why Nintendo would demo Wii on HD LCD TV's if they're as bad as people make out. As far as I can tell every event since E3 has used Sharp AQUOS LCD's to display Wii, check out these pics: E3: UK Event: Japan Event: US Event: Nintendo Fusion Tour: The same TV is visible throughout those pics (apart from the Japanese one) but I'm willing to bet it's the same Sharp TV behind that cover on those ones too. Anyway I definitely need to get myself a new TV before Wii comes out (currently got a 14" CRT ) and I'm seriously considering an LCD now, probably this one: Sharp Aquos 26" LC26SA1E Great thread by the way!

I ordered mine from Gameplay yesterday but I think I made a mistake with the postage thing as I forgot to change it from the 99p one. I don't remember seeing a 'Free Courier Delivery' option though, only 2nd Class (Free), 1st Class (99p), and Next Day (£4.95). Which option did everyone else use?

(Unless Europe do end up getting it first of course. ) I've not been on the ball as far as the whole region thing is concerned though, has it been confirmed that Wii is region locked? Yeah when I saw that I almost fell off my chair! And how about the Photoshop style image editing? Seriously impressive stuff.

WOW! I'm just amazed after watching all of those vids! The Wii looks simply astonishing! I can't believe the amount of stuff that it can do, seriously. This thing looks like it could replace my PC! It's practically got Photoshop on it for god’s sake! And that create your character thing is simply awesome, as soon as I saw that in action I was in heaven, It's so fresh yet so old school at the same time. I've been blown away by what I've seen so far, and its not even games!
