I played this for 2 hours straight last night... ...in the Sound Test. What a fantastic selection of music. Started to really notice the compression after a while though, which is a shame but completely understandable given how much content there is. Still, I'm looking forward to listening to the music on the Wii U ver. (which should be much higher quality) and to those soundtrack CDs from Club Nintendo.

Hold the phone! The 4 player online definitely isn't as bad as it seems initially. I had some amazing 4 player games with @\-Dem0\- last night. Other than a couple of minor hiccups, it was spot-on! :awesome: That was a lot of fun BTW. I'm clearly not very good at this game (especially in 3-4 player matches) but I love it. So yeah, to avoid laggy games, either play 1on1 "for glory" (even 3-4 player for glory seems to run better than "for fun") or play with friends.

I'm yet to play any decent 4 or 3 player online matches, they've all been a super laggy mess! 1 on 1 however, has been pretty much flawless. Not sure if things will improve for 3-4 player games as time goes on, but I'm sticking to "for glory" mode at the moment. Yet to try any friend matches though, guessing they might hold up a bit better too. Speaking of which, if anyone ever spots that I have a game open, feel free to join! : peace:

Me playing Smash Run: I'm gettin' too old for this shit. Anyhoo, I switched the L + R buttons around so grab is on R, definitely feel more at home with that setup. But yeah, even the demo couldn't prepare me for how crazy this game is! Gonna take a while to get up to speed I reckon. I fear for the safety my 3DS though, I really do.

Weird how ShopTo fucked up with this. Even more surprising to see early arrivals from the Nintendo UK store! Oh well.

If that really is the reason (which I doubt) then it's such a crap plan, because basically everywhere in mainland Europe will still sell it a week early regardless. Meaning the majority of Europe are going to get the game when the rest of the world do anyway, and it'll only be the UK that gets it a week late. Super ironic considering how obedient UK retailers are.

Yep, taking the DLC into consideration it's easily going to be a 100+ hour game to fully complete. :awesome:Shame they couldn't get this out earlier, would've been a perfect drought filler.

Not at all, definitely one of my favourites too. And the fact that it's going to improve over the next few months with some great looking DLC is the icing on the already delicious cake. Which ones?

I wonder if the 3 DLC Adventure Maps are going to feature 128 screens like the current one? Because that would be absolutely insane if so, not to mention incredibly great value. I'm also curious as to what the new game modes could be in February's "Boss Pack". Some kind of Boss Rush mode is pretty likely, but imagine if it's also...

No worries. It's pretty weird how the game actually gives you an option to decline the Friend Bonus, why the hell would anyone want to do that? 50k, or even just a crappy candle... I still want it.
