So nobody's exactly jumping head over heels about the amiibo use in this game. Not surprising really, it's pretty lame to be honest.

It might but it doesn't change them being rare games. Maybe I should have sold my copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy. I may get Kirby's Adventure Wii, I'll have to check the file size. I'd prefer to own it on disc but the price is too high. Kirby's Adventure Wii is 1.5GB.

Ideally, I'd like the next Metroid game to combine the best parts of Other M and Prime.

And it is timeless. I'm saying it's 20 years later and to this day I'm still waiting for a rightful heir to its throne.

It's not even up for debate. Super Metroid is probably the greatest game ever made. Remember it's over 20 years old folks. The fact it still hasn't been bettered in 2D is testament to its greatness. Some of you here may not even be old enough to debate this fairly. Platforming, exploration, music, upgrades, isolation, it nailed everything perfectly. Samus in Prime is missing so many of her abilities and agility it can't possibly be better. Where's the screw attack, wall jumping, speed booster, space jump, shinespark? Even things like the grapple beam like some of her other abilities are severely neutered in Prime. It doesn't have an ounce of its ability from Super Metroid.

What Metroid Prime did, it did it really, really well but I feel it's missing some of the 2D abilities. Some things I'd miss from the Prime games as well if it went solely back to 2D or 3rd person. A happy medium would be ideal but that could be a headache to achieve.

Not just you but I always take huge exception to this. Metroid solely in 1st person is wrong. Anybody who played Super Metroid when it first came out must know what I mean? I know this is a bad analogy but it's the first thing to spring to mind but Metroid Prime is like Jessica Ennis stuck in a wheelchair. Pretty to look at but not showing her full potential.

If there's 1 Wii U game you don't need to worry about it's Xenoblade Chronicles X. The original had slightly less than stellar character models as well lest you forget. This will turn out fine, I just know it will.

Project Treasure For Wii U Announced By Bandai Namco Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada teased a new title: Project Treasure for Wii U. He didn’t share too much as far as details go, he revealed that it’s an upcoming free-to-play title for the Wii U, that will allow four players to get together and cooperate online. The basic aim is to clear traps, route enemies, and seize treasure.

Box Boy is a new eShop title for 3DS from HAL Laboratory. It's out now on the Japanese eShop. It's priced at 630 Yen. No word on whether it'll get a release in the West. http://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/eshop/jcpj/index.html

Of the 3 games I think Corruption is the worst. I enjoyed it but not as much as the other 2. Echoes was a bit like marmite. I liked the increase in difficulty from the first game. Edit: 1 thing to possibly dampen your enthusiasm for this download is I think you'll be looking at an 8GB bite out of your system memory. I was contemplating downloading it myself until I realised this. I don't want to open any of my sealed copies.
